Fantastic! I can’t recommend this place enough. The man who owns it is so kind and knowledgeable, he is clearly experienced and a musician himself. I am a cellist and I was looking for a place focused on string instruments for a new bow. He didn’t just tell me what bow is nice, he brought out a cello and let me try them out. He stood by and watched so he could see my playing style and help decide what’s best for me. What I really like is the store is open and not cluttered. If you play a string instrument please come here, and skip the neighborhood music store, the focus is on violin, cello, and viola so you’ll be getting valuable information and not just the «yeah this is a good brand» that I would expect from from the guy who sells everything from harmonicas to the triangle…

Good price for high quality instrument! Nice Shop keeper give me a lot of recommendations but did not push me on buying books or instruments. You can rent 9months and if you want to buy a violin, that cost applies.

Amazing services. My viola broke right before an important graduate school audition, and they fixed it as fast as possible (unheard of) as well rehaired my bow, tonal adjustment (their specialty) and fixing my sound post. Prices were extremely reasonable, and the friendly attitude of the luthier who fixed my instrument really calmed me down from this terrible situation.
They really saved the day, and I will not go to anyone else for my viola needs as long as I live down here.

A great place for violin repair and tuneup.
This is my first time using Everjoy Music to repair and tuneup my violin. After 15 years of neglect, all the strings on my violin are rusted and when I try to change the strings, the sound post fall off. Patrick expertly explains what has happened and what needs to be adjusted. After only 5 days, the sound post, bridge, tailpiece were adjusted and the surface was cleaned. The violin seems to get a new life. He also suggested a great bow to replace my (embarrassingly) viola bow. I have such a great experience that I highly recommend Everjoy Music for your next musical instrument needs.

I played violin in several groups during high school, but never took the time to have it repaired or cleaned properly and always changed my strings myself. After not playing for several years while in college and grad school, I moved back home to Southern California and joined two local orchestras. I noticed my violin was badly stained, my bridge was beginning to warp, my bow needed rehairing, and my pegs kept slipping– it was time to have a professional take a look at it. I did some research and remembered I had heard good things about Everjoy, and after hearing my conductor say he has his repairs done there as well, I knew it was a good choice.
Before even playing a note, Patrick was able to diagnose everything that needed repairs– including several things I hadn’t even noticed. He was very conscientious of my budget as we went over all the repairs, but fortunately even with all the items I had not foreseen, the total cost was very reasonable and within my outlined budget. Patrick had called me during the week to suggest purchasing a new bow, since he noticed my current one was warped slightly to one side and that the weight balance was not ideal for my style of playing. I went back to pick up my violin later the following week and could barely recognize it– it looked pristine and almost brand new. He had also picked out 3 bows for me to try out, each with a different weight balance. His intuition is truly unbelievable, as I ended up purchasing the bow that he predicted I would like best even before I had tested them. The sound that came out was so much cleaner and well rounded than anything I had ever played on my violin before.
Before I left, he took the time to explain some of the ways I could better take care of my violin to prevent such extreme repairs. The most interesting thing I learned was from his expertise in tonal adjustment and how switching between brands while changing the strings myself had led to a deterioration in tone, since the sound post and bridge should be adjusted each time as well. I will definitely be taking my violin here for tune-​ups and string changes from now on!

Finding good violinists is a challenge. I recently moved to Southern California and my hunt originally led me to a man that did more harm than good to my violin. In order to repair the damage done to my violin, I went to Patrick at Everjoy Music.
Patrick fixed my soundboard, recommended and installed new strings, in addition to optimizing the sound. He also offers lessons. All of the services he provides are at a reasonable price and I will be going to him for all my violin needs. Everjoy also stocks all accessories and sheet music that a student needs.

This place sucks, terrible instruments and no good service.
