I’ve been practicing Aikido for close to 10 years and had a chance to visit over a dozen different dojos. Although I’ve only been training at Ikazuchi for 3 years, I cannot imagine myself training anywhere else. Matsuoka Sensei does not only have one of the best Aikido techniques I’ve felt, but he is also very humble. He has the true Aikido spirit! The other instructors are also exceptional and most of them have experience in other martial arts as well. The tests here are real and people don’t simply fall for you as it often happens in other studios. Over the years, Ikazuchi has made many improvements to the facility and class schedule based on what the students suggested in surveys. They take the opinion of all members very seriously, regardless of their age and rank. So, come try us and become part of a very diverse family that is constantly seeking improvement in both Aikido and daily life!

I’ve been training at Ikazuchi for about 5 months, and it’s been an absolutely fantastic experience. Matsuoka Sensei and the rest of the instructors are top notch and come from a wide variety of backgrounds. There’s a really nice balance between practical application of techniques and the mental, philosophical side of Aikido. The dojo itself is spacious and very clean. Any changes of schedule and announcements are promptly communicated both in person and online. Newer students may feel a little overwhelmed at first, but I encourage you to just dive in! There’s a strong attitude of mutual respect, and everyone is willing to help. I really feel like I’m part of the family at Ikazuchi. Come train with us!

I heard about Ikazuchi from my 12 yr old son’s friend. I took him in and we both started Aikido. I wanted to get my son into this, and this is an awesome art, and it has been building his confidence too. We both go to dojo at least twice a week and enjoy practice and sensei. I highly recommend Ikazuchi dojo to both children and adults.

This is a great dojo if your an adult or if you have a friend or a brother who wants to also learn Akido. However you have to be really comminted if you want to learn Akido. Akido is also good if your seeking spirtual enlightment and or wanting to learn some really great moves. Definately check out if you want to learn a martial art, however to really get good you must have like nothing else going on and be really commited
