I like this place. The workers are always helpful and the food is pretty solid. the haemul pajeon is uhhhhmayzinnggg(amazing). it’s bigger than your Also, they give you free stuff the more you order. We were going here so often during summer they started giving us free food(onion rings, wings, fries) AND they took bottles(I’m talking 5. yea, sick right?) off the receipt. yup. **Pro tip: Make sure your whole crew is chill before you leave. Cops like to wait right around the corner to tail people down Jeffrey. my friend ran into a little«trouble» because of this. BESAFEFAM! drunk driving kills :( and visit this place when you have a hankering for mayhem and soju. cheers

Hm. «Yay! I’m a fan.» is more accurate of a description than«A-OK I didn’t have problems with this place at all during the many times I’ve gone. The seating arrangements are suitable for the guests you bring [from a date, to a party of 4, 6, or 8]. There is a call button. This is nice because then you don’t have to yell or raise your hand like an idiot when you want a server available. Their food is pretty good. Not great, but pretty good. If you wanted to show your white friend what Korean food tastes like, you can probably bring him/her here and he/she will be able to actually gauge what Korean food tastes like. It is casual dining folks. Not food meant for a king. Their galbi is still probably better than the ones you make at a home. Their portions are ample for the price. You will not leave hungry.

I came back here on Monday 11:20PM, hoping desperately that perhaps the owner would finally figure out that his employees were closing the shop earlier than advertised. Monday, it’s suppose to close at midnight. I feared, perhaps even knew, deep in my heart, that they would be closed early again. I drove here anyways, with my friend, because it was close and I really wanted it to be open. I just wanted a beer, maybe some food. Not too much to ask. Drove by the first, there were cars outside but the sign said closed. Three kids were smoking outside. I think some of them might’ve been employees. It was closed. Once again, you have disappointed me Juju Pocha. You have disappointed yourself. You have disappointed irvine. Get your shit together. Either change your times or stay open as advertised please. Be professional. Do the right thing.

i am pretty sure this is the only korean drinking spot in irvine, aside from the balcony which isn’t really sool jib styles. after work, a few co-workers and i decided to relieve a little stress with a lil bit of soju and beer. we ordered the chicken yakitori, fish cake soup, brisket skillet(name?), mussel soup, and then they hooked us up with fried chicken. personally, i like this place because it’s not crowded with a lot of underage, early 20’s kid trying to get wasted. it’s mostly older people trying to get some decent food with alcohol and just relax after a long day of working.

If there are french fries, onion rings and calamari on the menu it is NOT an authentic Korean restaurant. My boyfriend and I wanted to try something new so we stopped at this place. I do like that each table is very private with these partitions set up. The service was extremely slow and the food was just mediocre. We ordered the spicy pork, but it was tasteless besides the spiciness. I feel like everything was a tad overpriced as well. I love Korean food, but the authentic kind. I don’t have anything good to say about this restaurant.

3.5 stars I’ve only been here on late nights on a few occasions. It’s a good place for drinks and foods to share. We normally get a few kettles of soju/yogurt soju and beers, split an order of kimchi pancake and corn cheese; it all makes for an entertaining night drunken babble. They have some pretty decent specials here: — buy two soju or beer, get the third for a penny — spend $ 50 and get a free tier 1 appetizer — spend $ 100 and get a free tier 2 appetizer(note, you cannot get two tier 1 appetizers when you spend $ 100, we tried –_-) Food portions here are big, drinks, though not the strongest, are tasty nonetheless. Definitely comparable to Biden Biden in Tustin and Past Memories in GG.

This old Anteater was feeling a little nostalgic and had room in his tummy, so he stopped here on my way to san diego from norcal. I immediately took notice at the drastic change in décor since the last time I dined here 2 years ago. Did they recently change owners? I don’t remember ever paying more than 10 $ for kimchee chigae here. Now, it’s about $ 15! Forget about jjampong $ 18. Also this place is very very dark, now. I had to bust out the flashlight app just to read their menu. They seemed to have bought the cheapest and lowest wattage light fixtures from ikea, and then dimmed it some more. The noise level is pretty high too. You’ll almost have to yell at your dinnermates’ ear in order to be heard. The Food: I got the cheapest meal on the menu: ramen $ 6. It came with 3 sides of banchan — kimchee, Gaeran Mari(korean omelete) and oi naengguk(cucumber cold soup), all of which were delicious. Now, I felt bad getting so much for paying so little. ^^ The food was delicious, and the waiters are quite courteous(as you can expect from any Korean stranger.) I ate quickly, gave a generous tip(which they deserve), and hit the last stretch of road back home to San Diego. The only reason this place didn’t Darren C’s 5 star rating: high price for my favorite Korean dishes, and poor ambiance(super loud music, and extremely low lighting. I feel really old all of a sudden). This is a good fuel stop, but not the best rest stop.

A place to go when you have nowhere else to go and you’re craving Korean food and drinks(other than Baden Baden plus Tustin cops are scary). Foods decent, but their chicken wings and corn cheese are pretty good. Ddukbokki is a waste of money. There’s hardly any dduk and way too many cabbage(?) pieces. Just come here if you want to drink and have munchies. Not too sure if I would come here just for the food…

The name sounds like a bad korean cuss word. «god damn, you are one stupid juju pocha» haha. i think my korean friend was trying to tell me that pocha is like a portable bar in korea? and juju was someone’s name? Decent place to come drink some yummy yogurt soju. the yogurt soju comes in a metal tin pot. It’s hidden in the arbor plaza, cuz I didn’t even know about it until my Korean coworker said to come here to drink. They didn’t card us, which is super surprising. i look like i’m 5 or something. Theres a creepy security guard that walk in and out of the restaurant, and he sometimes stands outside and peers inside the place through the blinds like a American psycho. watch out for him.

I came here WAY too often with my friends. We once came like 3 times in a week but hey, this is the only place in irvine open till 2am and serves alcohol. We come here so often that the waiters dont even bother carding us anymore since they see us so often haha. Anyways the reason we love this place is that it has a buy 2 get one for 1 cent deal with all of their bottled sojus and beers. Cant beat that deal! The food here is pretty decent too. I have had everything from the budae jjigae to the fries and corn cheese. Everything goes pretty well with the soju so everything gets killed. The servers are very attentive and friendly. They are quick and efficient. My only gripe about this place is that since it is in Irvine and its not as big as other korean bars they do tell you to quiet down if you seem to get to rowdy(which was the case last night) but its understandable. Its not like we are in K-town in LA.

first time here last night. i mostly wanted to come for the yogurt soju but i was DENIED the 50% on drinks, was told that the offer was last month… even though it still shows up on the Unilocal app on my iphone, i showed it to the server and he just said sorry. service was okay, they were polite and food came out fast. we ordered the kimchi fried rice which was surprisingly good, better than Guppy’s. we also got dukbokki which tasted a litttle different, there was something off about it. Side dishes were great but nothing special. i’d come here again because i like the atmosphere and the snacks/appetizers menu looked pretty good i’d like to try them out.

Good place for Irvine, that’s for sure! Tried buldak /spicy chicken for the first time here, and it was delicious. Typical k-bar setup, nothing too different from the norm. TVs are usually playing KBS or some music videos and the crowd isn’t as rowdy as Past Memories peoples. It’s still Irvine: X Just make sure everyone in your party is over 21, wouldn’t let us drink with a minor in our group even though she was our DD!

I came here last week since my friends told me there was a special for 50% off drinks! Can’t beat that! The ladies got the yogurt soju they give you in a pot and the guys got some regular soju and a couple pitchers. The bill came out really resonable. I never really ate the food here so I can’t comment about that but it looks just okay, I’m sure a regular Korean resturant would have better food than this place, but thats not why I come here. This might replace Baden my new go to korean joint, since its a little closer and I think the interior décor is a little nicer. It can get a little loud when there are a lot of people and they have a modular design which they can modify to accomodate large parties better. Come here for some cheap drinks!

I have been to Juju Pocha a couple times. It is a good place to hang out and drink some soju. I haven’t really tried much of their food since we normally eat somewhere else. Juju pocha is a place to just hang out and drink some soju and beer. I personally like the yogurt soju which is served in these kettles. These drinks are quite good and they do the job. They can creep up on you. Currently they have an anniversary deal so the drinks are half off with the purchase of food. This is a great deal. You also get a similar deal if you check-in via Unilocal. Juju Pocha is a good place to just hang out, get some drinks and chill with some friends.

My go to place for a late night snack… errr… or a sure shot place that’s open when I have a craving for soju and korean munchies. Honestly, the food here is a hit or miss. But heck, what can you expect in Irvine(for the most part). It’s new, it’s clean, the servers there are really nice and attentive. I literally live down the street and I can go in there in my p’jams and not feel awkward. Good job, juju!

I love this place! It’s Korean and the service didn’t stink. I had a pah-jahn(korean pancake), comprised of vegetables, seafood, and fried batter which was delicious. It wasn’t crispy like the one I had in the countryside of Korea a while back, but it was more deep-dish style and it hit the spot. Chicken wings! Nice and crispified! Can’t go wrong with chicken wings. They do have soft tofu soup, but not with pork(–1 star). The prices are reasonable, but not cheap, and the combo selections are a bit arbitrary; otherwise, a great place to get some korean during korean hours(5pm-2am).

Late night dinner. It is nice to see a little different view on korean food in Irvine. We really only have tofu houses or bbq. We ordered one of the dinner combo specials, which I really enjoyed because it had a little bit of everything. Oh! and the typical side dishes such as kimchi and such. Dinner Combo Special A Rice Cakes with Spicy sauce(dukboki) — very good, love those rice noodles Ramen — nice pepper spice with a little bit of egg and rice cakes in it. Fried dumplings(8) — crispy and fresh Soda 2 or Beer(Coors light) — yuck! All this was only $ 19.99 I really enjoyed dinner however, the service was a little slow however, they are new so we can give them a little slack. There many of things on the menu that I would want to try. I would go back for sure! Get a lot for what you get.

When my friend first told me about the existence of Juju Pocha in the plaza on Walnut, I was slightly intrigued because 1) I’ve never had Korean food outside of the usual tofu soup&KBBQ meals and 2) I thought that the only restaurants in that plaza were A&J, China Garden, Shik Do Rak, Taiko, the Thai restaurant, and the little dessert shops. But what do you know, it’s wayy in the corner & right across of Weinerschnitzel… the part where I’ve never ventured off to. The place was pretty empty on a Saturday night, which made me a little suspicious, but I stepped in anyway. We ordered Set F, which consisted of the following: mini side dishes [kimchi and hot dogs(random, I know, but GOOD. got a few refills on that)] pork and lettuce w/picked greens, spicy beef stew, fried gizzards w/onions, and beer, along with kimchi fried rice. When I took a bite out of the pork(I wrapped it in lettuce), I was pleasantly surprised how good it tasted. Though lacking a little in the salt category, it was still pretty good. And the gizzards were so DELICIOUS and crunchy. I could just eat those all day… You should try wrapping the gizzards and the pork together in the lettuce. GOODSTUFFRIGHTTHERE. The beef stew was pretty big and not bad. though it was a little too spicy for me to really enjoy. It tastes pretty much the same as the tofu soups with some seeds added in there for flavor. The meat was pretty tender and fell right off the bone… I’m guessing that’s why there wasn’t much meat in the soup? In all, this place’s a nice alternative to BCD, a place you should go only when 1. it’s 3 am or 2. you’re drunk, and KBBQ(as delicious and unhealthy as it is…).

I used to come to this same location for the previous Korean restaurant until they closed down. When JuJu opened up in it’s place I was excited to try it but definitely hesitant because I always am when I go to a new place. However, I am really glad that I came here. I was very pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the meal. I can say that the menu is not your typical Korean BBQ menu and you really need to know what to pick as some of the dishes aren’t even Korean. I ordered the following and here are my comments on the dishes: Jokpal — pork hock. I truly enjoyed this dish and it came with the big bone. The meat was tender and not too dry and the best part was the dipping sauce. Daktongjip Gooi — panfried chicken gizzard with vegetables. I always have to order gizzard if a restaurant has it on the menu because I love gizzards. The dish came out on a steaming hot plate and looked as appetizing as it tasted! Budechige(with ramen noodles) — spicy pork, ham, sausage and kimchi stew. I was a little skeptical about this dish when the waiter recommended it but again… I was happy I ordered it. It was unique and the soup base had a hint of not only kimchi but also tomato flavor(almost like a Russian Bortsch soup). The only complaint was that I wish they had some other meat besides the ham. I am not a big fan of having both sausage and ham in one dish. Maybe substitute with spam? Janchi Guksu — thin noodle with fish base soup. This was refreshing and had great flavor to it! On the whole I liked my meal a lot and they even redesigned the place and it looks a lot more inviting now. I would come back here!
