This place is okay. Decent for a neighborhood park. Good sandbox for kids to dig and throw sand(ha). Nice playground area that is decently maintained. Pool here requires your community fob but is pretty well maintained and very clean(and isn’t over chlorinated). Parking lot is well lit and easy to access. Outside of the pool area are some bbqs but they need to be better maintained(or replaced). Bathrooms are pretty gross and water fountain is almost always backed up. For«community» stuff that grosses me out(but I have no issue with filthy rat infested parks in NYC — so maybe I just have higher standards for this place). If they can fix and maintain and clean the bbqs, the bathrooms and the water fountains I would add that extra star.

This is a great neighborhood park. It has nice big open areas with sand. Multiple play areas for smaller and older kids, a see-saw, swings and play and climbing structures. The play area is adjacent to a large grassy field area where you can have picnics and play games. I went to a birthday party where they set up tables in the grassy area under the trees and set up a jumper as well. There’s a cool step down area where people can sit that would be perfect for having outdoor plays or performances. There’s a covered seating area with 3 tables plus 1 table in the far corner not covered. There definitely needs to be more picnic tables. Also, all the bench seating is not covered. The park is relatively clean. The bathroom could be cleaner. There is a walk path to Alderwood elementary school and a community pool adjacent to the park. Kids love the see-saw though and it is definitely a stand out feature of this park.
