Extremely bad service. Poor customer service and everyone is very unprofessional. Everyone was rude and the optometrist even humiliated my father in front of everyone in the store. Very dissatisfied with my visit here.

Could be better: Not greeted when we came in, it wasn’t clear that I needed to check in at the main desk which seemed more like a cashier than a reception area so I waited in the«waiting area» and wasn’t greeted by any of the technicians. Got some looks because I brought my kid. Good: Once I asked if I needed to check in, they gave me my form to fill out. They didn’t say to bring it back, but the technician noticed I was done and took it up front for me. Once we got in to be seen, it was quick. ~$ 75 without insurance for an eye exam, $ 15 or $ 40 for dilation or some techy alternative to get your inner eye health checked. ~$ 175 for your most basic glasses. 1 hour turn around for getting your glasses back. This is key. The whole process from check in to getting my glasses picked and paid for was 1 hour, and they texted me to pick them up exactly an hour later. The guy helping me pick out the glasses with my new prescription was knowledgeable on my questions about lasik, astigmatisms, glasses frame repairs(Frame Doctors off Chapman is the closest, and then some jeweler in Tustin does metal frame repairs). Better than I expected. The quick turn around time was key for me.

My husband wanted new glasses, one sturdy pair for around the house when watching TV In bed, and the other for work. We had a great experience. We were greeted by the manager when we walked in. Being a Saturday, it was busy, but there always was a pleasant person to attend to our needs. We came back in an hour and the glasses were not quite ready, but again there was someone to help us; a different person than when we make the order. Great service all the way around.

I have come here on several occasions, one time for buying lens cleaning solution for my glasses and a few other times for my fiancé to purchase glasses. All the employees here were extremely friendly and helpful, and they were really careful to provide us with important information in order to have realistic expectations of how my fiancé’s potential glasses would turn out. While this specific location does not have as many different frame options are some of the other LensCrafters locations, it has all of the main brands and both my fiancé and I love how the staff was focused more on us having a good experience and getting the best glasses possible rather than forcing sales down our throats in order to get commission or credit(this is an issue in some other locations and at all SEE stores we had visited). The associates we worked with were also really great in helping us get the best price possible for my fiancé’s glasses and also guided us through how to use his HSA account and how to even deal with the insurance companies. This above and beyond level of service is what makes us love this location and want to come back here for future eye care needs.

I called to check on appointment times and the guy asked me about my insurance and took my information and never called me back. This is extremely bad customer service.

For their exams and customer service … I’ve been to other locations and by far this place has the better customer service and runs on time with their appointments. For those looking for weekend appointments, this place had several available at the last minute. That’s a big plus in my books, especially when trying to use up your benefits before the end of the year.

The real problem with this LensCrafters location is the misinformation given by the floor associates of what the on-site lab is capable of. I wanted to replace the lenses in a pair of RayBans sunglasses and asked that the prescription lenses have a matching tint color(brownish gray) plus I asked for it to be darker. The sales person was very confident that it could be done and in fact, was boasting at how routine this was. The sales person said it would take 1 – 2 hours to complete the lenses. I waited around in the Tustin Marketplace and right at the 2nd hour got a call that lenses aren’t ready. Then two hours after that, they can’t get the darkness right. Well, 2-days and 4 attempts later, I got my lenses. They were finally the correct tint, however they’re actually lighter so that kind of bums me out. I was really hoping getting an eye exam and new lenses was going to be painless, but it didn’t turn out that way with Lens Crafters.

This place is just a factory. No personal service whatsoever. They use the cheapest quality lenses for glasses. I recently had an eye exam for my glasses .when finished they asked would I like contact lenses. I declined because my glasses cost me $ 650. I then called back to inquire about contact lenses. They said I needed a different exam. I spoke to a few optometrists and they all said that it was not necessary for a different exam .it was just fitting. .it told them I have worn contacts for 5 years and I know what they feel like. I don’t need to spend another $ 50 on someone putting one in my eye and saying«how’s that». I told them I had spent over $ 1200 at their place and they don’t care. they were not helpful and when asked what’s different about the exams they could not answer, only to tell me it’s different. Not happy. Bad service. It’s just SellSellSell. $$$$$$

The optometrist who work there are pretty good but the overall service is pretty bad(hence the 2 rating). They screwed up my order and even worse my insurance(they couldn’t find my name so they put me under my company’s general coverage instead of the premium that I’m actually covered/paying for). I’ll admit that I should of caught the insurance error but the excuse that they couldn’t find my name is BS/laziness. Before Lenscrafters I used to actually go to an local Optometrist and that’s where I’m headed next time. I thought it would be cheaper/more convenient to go to a Lenscrafters but I don’t think its really worth it(or now days I don’t think they are any actually cheaper/more convenient)

I would like to start by saying that my overall experience was pleasant. Anyone reading this review please take into consideration that I was there on a Saturday. With this being my experience I would never recommend going in to LensCrafters on a weekend without an appointment it does not seem like a time that would be wise to take on a walk in. This was my first visit to LensCrafters for myself. I was in need of new frames and LensCrafters has a very good selection. Ultimately that was the biggest factor for me as I’ve had trouble in the past finding frames that I thought looked good with my face I was disappointed to see that LensCrafters does not accept VSP insurance but they will accept it as an out of network. My eye exam went very well. The doctor was very kind and thorough. She gave me a lot of information and discuss with me different ways to keep my eyes healthy. The thing that makes this visit a three was the lens and the frame selection process. My mom and I must have been asked by every associate in the store if we needed help. my mom n I musta been asked by every associate in the store if we needed help. Well this is normally a good thing, I, I would’ve preferred some more space to lower the shop on our own. then once we finally picked out frames we had to wait a while in this tiny claustrophobic state for somebody to be ready to actually sell us the glasses we had picked out. Well I am happy with my frames and the overall experience was good there were definitely a couple things that could have made it a lot more pleasant. But the most important thing is the frames which I love.

The only benefit of LensCrafters is that they are fast, quick. They have plenty of lenses in stock, and they always have some sort of offer for you. But they put forth the effort into making the buying process as difficult for the consumer as possible. Not only do they not openly discuss rates, options and value packages for the consumer, but they make you feel as though you are a burden if you wish to discuss such options. This particular store does not have a lot of good lens selections, and the customer service staff seems very incompetent.

Where to start with this establishment … Purchased a pair of Ray Ban Wayfarers with prescription lenses in Dec 2014 … Come to find out that the lenses are way too strong causing me to almost wreck on the 241 toll road Asked for lenses to be swapped out and have been through all the hassles to get the right lens put in … After trying for almost a month(unacceptable) Will use a optomistrist next time versus a chain … Thank god for my HSA which gives me free frames and lenses.

Sigh. It’s kinda a slippery slope between a 1-star and a 2-star place. But I gave this one a 2-star because they were suppose to replace my broken frames(less than 30 days after purchase) completely free. Can’t complain about that part. I can, however, complain about their customer service and communication. I gave them my glasses on Sept 10, 2014. I called them twice and was put on hold for over ten minutes each time. Now it’s October 4, 2014 and when I called, someone from the«lab» said that they have no idea what happened to my frames and glasses. Sigh. Sigh. I need glasses. That’s why I have them. I tried to be patient. Will update when I actually get my glasses from them.

Worst service ever!!! There was only 1 guy(don’t know his name) but has a full beard that was sweet and actually acknowledged me. Manager did not great nor did any other sales members, the guy doing the exam was so negative and unpleasant. I got my prescription and ran. I will never go back her even though it is across from my apt. I rather take my business to Costco or another Lens Crafters. The actual doctor that I saw was great!!! I felt like asking her if she had her own office but did not.
