Miguel was Awsome. He was friendly and attentive. We went in middle of lunch. Long line but we were saved in just a few minutes. The entire staff was fast and professional. 3 people just at the prep counter. Go MOD!!!

Initially had some growing pains, but now a tasty and reasonable place. Great options on toppings, food comes relatively fast and outdoor seating is nice.

Check in on Unilocal and get free pizza. False advertisement! I was charged for 2 pizza and when we asked them why I didn’t get the 2nd one for free(advertised on Unilocal) they said they weren’t doing it anymore. Very disappointed.

Absolutely awesome. Michael was the main guy who took care of us and made it a spectacular experience. He was friendly and made it priority to make sure that the customers were taken care of. The food was great and he did an overall job of making sure that everyone was happy from beginning to end. Great service and would recommend it to everyone.

I think their marketing strategy is way better than piology’s, that’s one reason why I am a MOD fan.

For all Irvine Residents, MOD Pizza has a BOGO free coupon on the website. The coupon is valid until The end of July. This was my first time here and I have to say the pizza was very good. You get to pick your toppings and they have a big list of items to pick from. What was awesome was that the pizza was ready within 10 Minutes and the gentleman announcing the names for the pizzas that were ready asked me to let him know if there were any problems or if there was any issue to let him know right away so he could help us. Great customer service! Thank you MOD pizza. We will for sure be back.

I went to Pieology once and it was okay. Came to MOD Pizza and it is amazing! Highly recommend! You can ask for extra protein with no extra charge. I get my pie lightly baked. They tend to over cook because the crust is thin.

Food is always good here, 9 times out of 10, service is great. Stopped by last night and the guy(that looked like a Seth Rogan in his late 20’s) was extremely rude. Walked in as he was making a pizza, he didn’t acknowledge my presence until he was done. «which one did you want» just the mod pizza. «how many» just one. asked for an ingredient that they had, but he denied that they had it, so i just moved on. When my pizza was finished, he said«your pizzas ready» quietly, i went up to grab it and he didnt offer any sauces or anything. Not sure if this guy is always this rude or what, but hopefully he was just having a bad day because that was not delightful, what so ever.

The pizza itself is great! You can add whatever toppings you want for the same price. However, the service here could use some work. The two times I’ve gone they messed up on my order both times. The first time they completely got my order wrong because I guess he didn’t hear me correctly and I didn’t know because it was my first time and I thought he knew what he was doing. I only found out at the end when I asked about the missing BBQ drizzle that he realized he made the wrong pizza for me. This time they put jalapeños on my pizza even though I didn’t ask for it because they got me and my boyfriends orders mixed up(I got caspian and he got calexico). They also forgot to put the buffalo swirl on my boyfriends pizza at the end. 4 stars for food 2 stars for service Total: 3 stars

I adore MOD pizza. I love any place that allows you to customize and they’re my favorite of the pizza-customization places that I’ve tried(I’ve also been to pieology and blaze). Sometimes I tell myself I’ll try something different, but I usually end up getting roughly the same things. Doesn’t matter, it’s always good! The staff is generally very friendly and welcoming. When it gets crowded there, it can be hard to hear/communicate over the barrier, but it usually works out. When all fails, point! The cook on the crust and the quality of the ingredients are what have me coming back here over and over. None of the pizza dough ends up goopy or soft, it’s all got that nice crisp to it. Their garlic strips are also pretty tasty if you really want to indulge. If you like spicy sauces, get the srirancha sauce to dip. If you want to enjoy the strips and the pizza and don’t want to overeat(too much), I highly recommend getting the mini pizza(not the mod). Oh and the Marion Blackberry Lemonade is to die for. I get it everytime and always love it.

Hit or miss. Sometime ls they are on the spot sometimes they miss your order but its only because they rotate their crew so much. Otherwise good food and best bang for the buck!

It’s impossible to write a bad review for Mod. The restaurant is always clean and well staffed. Do yourself a favor and be sure to order a drink. They have the most amazing crushed blackberry lemonade, caramelized pear iced tea, regular black tea, and freshly squeezed lemonade. All are excellent. As for the pizza, you can order and watch them make it in front of you, or you can order from your phone or online in advance. During rush times there could be a line. What I like to do is order directly on my phone before I leave my home. I usually ask them to double cut my pizza otherwise the slices are too large. In addition, I usually make a special request that there are certain to cut all the way through or it’s hard to pull the piece apart if they don’t. Special shout out to Montrell who went the extra mile to greet me, and hustle my order out quickly.

This would be a four-star place except for the wait. Every time I have come here, I wait, wait, wait. That’s because there are always only two people working(one person doing the registers and oven and one person preparing the pizzas.) If there was an additional staff member, I’d be a much happier person, so I wouldn’t need to spend my entire lunch hour waiting for a(tasty) pizza. I do like the concept that you can put anything you want on it for a flat price. Pizzas are tasty, as is the lemonade. Do recommend and enjoy, if time is on your side.

Pizza Type: Thin Crust — Quick Bake Business Type: National Chain Beer/Wine: Limited draft beer and wine selection Overall opinion: I ordered the ‘Dillon James’, and it was good. The don’t offer fresh mozzarella, just grated which was a bummer. The standard 11″ pizza is $ 8.27, with no additional charge for extra toppings. They also offer a mini($ 5.27, 6″) and a mega($ 11.27, double crust). The dough is pressed out for an even size, which is standard for these quick bake chains. The default cut is fourths, which can make the slices a little awkward to handle. Ask for them to cut it into eighths.

Really falling in love with MOD! More options than any other places where you can create your own pizza, different size pizzas and salads, several tasty and fresh juices instead of soda, desserts and more toppings than any other place offers! Prices and quality are great, this is the perfect place to take kids and picky eaters, you can be healthy or not, everything is fresh and made in house, even the salad dressings which I also love. Service wass very nice, they are a bit slower and your food takes longer than other chains, but the wait is well worth it. Cool and clean location, plenty of seating, worth checking out!

As far as «assembly line» quick bake pizza places go, I’d put this one in the middle of the pack. There are a couple places I like better and a couple that are worse. I like that MOD has different sized pies to offer. I like that they have a huge menu board with some suggested combinations which, of course, you can modify to your liking. I like that the ingredients looked fresh. I like that they have a good amount of patio seating. And I like that the price is better than other places. I ordered one of their house offerings, a BBQ chicken pizza they call the Caspian. The guy who was making it told me I could either stand and watch him make it or I could feel free to go to the register and pay and get a drink. I did the latter, which was a mistake. When I got my pizza a few minutes later the chicken pieces were extremely sparse. If I’d have been smart and stood there I could have told him to put more on it. I was frankly surprised how little chicken was put on a BBQ chicken pizza. Still, it was a decent pizza. The cheese and BBQ sauce were quite good but the crispy-edged crust, while maintaining integrity and staying sturdy with every bite, added nothing flavor-wise. I also got a caramelized pear iced tea to drink. It sounded interesting but, well, let’s just say I wouldn’t get it again.

MOD is another build your own pizza joint. However, MOD does not give Blaze or Pieology a run for its money. Among the three, I would place MOD at the bottom. 1. MOD is not as generous with its toppings. The tomato sauce they layer on the bottom is extremely thin and barely visible. Similarly, cheese, proteins, and vegetables are rationed in limited quantities. If you want a regular serving that would come automatically at Blaze or Pieology, you have to request«extra.» 2. The pizza ingredients are bland. I try to build the exact same pizza whenever I am given the option to customize, but for some reason, MOD’s version was nearly tasteless. 3. The crust is crispy, thin and flavorless. It had almost a cardboard consistency. What sets MOD apart though are the beverages. Different beers on tap and milkshakes are available for purchase. The salads here are also better than those offered at Blaze or Pieology. If you’re looking to grab a brew with your pizza, then choose MOD. But if you are solely after delicious pizza, consider Blaze or Pieology before coming here.
