Absolutely love the pizzas here. I load them up with all my favorite toppings and pizza comes out so juicy and tasty. I prefer this over any other pizza chains

Loving that this place has vegan options and gluten free. Manager Nick made sure myself being vegan and my vegan friend felt comfortable and we were respected and taken care of. Gloves were changed and the sauce they used was separate from the other sauce that is near regular cheese. I’m very impressed with how nice the staff is and especially how friendly and caring the manager is. I support vegan options for supply and demand it is important to have more vegan options available for people so that more people go vegan. The food was super yummy! I got a Gluten free pizza here last time and a salad this time. I think only the gluten free dough is vegan though please be sure to ask. Plus be sure to ask for sauce that is separate. Food is definitely super yummy here! :D

Yumm! They use natural ingredients which is a plus! They also offer buffalo sauce and spicy chicken– which is our favorite. For dessert they offer cinnamon sugar pizza– whoa! The pizza is thin crust and you can add as many toppings as you’d like. The seating is tight– maybe 6 tables inside, outside has additional seating but I find there are always people smoking right outside their patio– not very appetizing. We love the build your own pizza concept and I love the quality ingredients they use at this location.

I called in advance to see how much time I needed, the guy said no line and 4 – 5 mins phone ordered. I ordered by phone and still no pizza 15 mins later. I was so irritated with the service. The pizza is ok but customer service sucks. When I asked for an explanation, he had a blank look on his face and just ‘Sorry’. Sorry didnt cut it when I had boss why I was late! So irritating. Hopefully Pieology staff can get it together soon!

My friends and I tried this place for the first time today. The pizza were surprisingly good. We ordered Mad to Meat you and Hickory BBQ chicken and we left with happy tummies. Mad to meat you is a safe choice, but Hickory bbq taste better and we all like it. The servers are very kind too! Will definitely go back to this place

Haven’t even started eating and already I’m very disappointed. The service here is horrible! Employees are rude and seem annoyed. Very disappointing. Pieology at Tistin Marketplace is MUCH better!

It’s good, but could be so much better! Usually when you order pizza, it’s boxed, delivered, and still HOT. Unfortuantely, the pizza here is served from oven to guest and is at best luke warm. A lot of pizzas were by the register waiting to be delivered to tables, and one of our pizzas got misplaced shuffle(Maybe that’s why they weren’t hot?) Some pizzas coming out were overbaked and charred. I may come back in non peak hours.

We ate here on a Friday night. The place was packed! That’s the only thing I didn’t like about the place. It’s not really that big. So wait time was really long, both for finding a place to sit and getting our pizza. But I do love the food. That thin crust is really good. And of course I love that«build your own» concept. But then again I maybe a little biased on that coz I love any type of customization on service. I think it’s a fantastic idea to get food exactly how you want it or what you want in it.

This is the second Pieology that I’ve been to and I must say that this one is much better than the last one I went to. There was a pretty long line since it was at the spectrum but when I got to the front of the line I wasn’t sure how to order because I don’t eat pizza that often. Let alone build my own. My pizza builder wasn’t much help either. I had to start asking her questions before she decided to talk to me. Other than that all was well. The place was clean and they brought the pizzas to our table in good time.

I’m not sure if there are regional differences in Pieologies, but I’ve been to the one in Berkeley several times and I gotta say, the one here in Irvine Spectrum is really not as good. Biggest issue I had was with the crust: my pizza was both flimsy and inflexible, if that’s possible. As someone who folds his slices, I suffered from many tears in the outer portion of the crust, yet also had to deal with severe sagging problems toward the center. It made for an unnecessarily messy meal, and I’m not about that mess. Line was decent for a Friday night, and my friend and I got outside seats underneath a heater, so it was doable, but there’s not much seating space inside. Also, there were only a total of 3 or so chili flake shakers in the entire place, so I had to jack one from an unsuspecting couple nearby. Overall, I’m disappointed in this location, and would rather to go to Blaze in UTC or another faceless make-your-own joint before going back here.

I think It’s great but my polish coworker gave it a 7⁄10 so I’ll be fair and give 4 stars because my polish coworker is very picky and I want to make sure that people with picky friends should be cautious.

Going by the genre of fast fire’d pizza, this is just about all right. Fast Fire’d — They have a thin crust, with sauce and toppings which is baked super quick in a really burning oven. So its not your typical slow baking process and hence fast fired pizzas are your fast food style pizzas. Comparing to other nearby Fast Fire’d pizzas like Blaze, Mod this one is okay. Since I have been going to the UCI Blaze, I like that one better. Ingredients are similar. IN fact Pieology has lesser options in cheese as compared to Blaze. The meat and the veggies are the regular so you cant really call one out for other. The ambience is good,(see pictures). They have a sitting space inside as well as outside. It can get nice when you have a fast fire’d pizza and sit outside and have it. But other than that, this one is ah-okay~ A la Unilocal

Unfortunately, Pieology is not my favorite BYO pizza place, but it is pretty good. I like the herb butter and always get that and marinara sauce. I also really like that they have corn as one of the toppings! I get my pizza extra crispy to get that satisfying crunch with every bite. Also add pesto sauce for that extra oomph.

Then mozzarella, gorgonzola, red onion, fresh cilantro, and all-natural chicken on top. Once the pizza is smokin’ hott the bbq sauce is scatter across the pizza as the final touch. The pizza is crunchy and warm as the bbq fills throughout your mouth. Classic Margherita — olive oil is the coating of the pizza. Additionally, I like to add red sauce, cilantro, mushrooms, extra garlic and bacon to make the flavors burst through my taste buds and pores. One of my favorite custom restaurants in Irvine! For under $ 8, you can let your pizza creation dreams come true. Every time I would visit from grad school, I always made it a point to come here. I really like thin crust pizza and Pieology specializes in it. Located conveniently next to Wahoo’s and Nordstrom’s and Macy’s, Pieology is a new go-to spot for me. I like how they don’t have limits on the amount of toppings you can choose like at other build-your-own restaurants. You can either choose from one of their pre-made options or create your own. I like that they have vegan mozarella as an option and unlimited meat and veggie selections! I’ve also tried their savory herb butter strips which are just pizza dough brushed with their herb butter. Don’t get me wrong, it’s tasty, but not really worth ordering alone. Every time I’ve been here(weekend afternoons), it’s usually pretty packed although the line moves fast. You have to watch like a hawk to find a seat, but I definitely think it’s worth it.

Love the concept, very quick service and pizzas cooked quickly. Lots of different sauces, meats and toppings available. I wish they had menus for people to look at individually rather than just the one big menu on the wall right next to the serving counter, because by the time you see the menu there, it’s already time to start ordering what you want and things move quickly so you don’t have too much time to think. Lots of seating available. Will definitely go back, fun for the kids to order exactly what they want

Pieology is another build your own pizza shop at the Irvine Spectrum. Of course, Pieology offers its own creations, but a big reason for the success of Pieology and its competitors(i.e. Blaze, MOD, Project Pie, and 800 Degrees) is the option to customize your own pizza. Among these pizza chains, we have only tried Blaze and MOD. In my book, I would rank Blaze #1, Pieology #2, and MOD #3. I prefer Blaze for the reasons below: 1. Blaze has a thin, soft, and chewy crust. Meanwhile, Pieology has a crispy crust that leaves your hand covered in black residue from the stone oven. 2. Blaze offers a spicy tomato sauce. However, Pieology does offer spicy chicken, which somewhat compensates for the absence of a zestier tomato sauce. In general though, the other toppings are fairly comparable between the two restaurants. 3. Pieology is always packed during peak times, with lines out the door. This may make it difficult to find seating. Tables are less of a hot commodity at Blaze in University Town Center and at Fashion Island. 4. Blaze allows online ordering for those who wish to avoid the line altogether. A few Pieology locations enable online ordering, but this location unfortunately does not. That said, we still love dining at Pieology every once in awhile. It’s fresh, it’s fast, and it’s delicious!

i take pictures of my food, yes. so i care about presentation. it was a very busy weekday lunch hour, the line was out of door, so i think they were rushing taking orders — see my picture, i do not get jalapenos, tomatoes, or meats on all the ‘slices’… because all my toppings were threw on my pie crust, literally. it tasted really good, although pretty oily compare to other MYO pizza chains. i’d prefer MOD or Blaze any day, but this location is pretty convenient to me so i might come back still — hopefully i’ll get someone that cares about presentation as much as i do… :p

I introduced my mom and brother to the fresh and personalized thin-crust pizzas the other day! Pieology Pizzeria was a hit for everyone~ I got the whole wheat crust with red sauce, mozzarella, chicken, green peppers, and basil with some cherry tomatoes(that I stole from my brother). The crust is crispy, buttery, and easy to bite into. Everything tastes fresh and takes about 10 minutes to order and get the pizza. I had half a box leftover after eating here which was enough for the next day’s lunch and dinner. I adore this place for being so conscientious of their toppings and keeping everything delicious, clean, and happy. I hope that my family comes back here again and we can ditch Round Table Pizza altogether.
