So the wife and I were cruisin around the spectrum when we found smug mugs. This gal has a cute little stand where she does caricatures and she did one for us and it came out great. Highly recommended

A few months ago I was walking around at the Spectrum when I came across SmugMugz. I’m sure Millie could see the curiosity on my face and she welcomed me over to look at some of her artwork. In her album, she had pictures of her caricatures next to a picture of the live version of the person. I was definitely impressed by what I saw.

I had a weird idea and Millie definitely worked with it! I wanted to get a piece done as a birthday gift and I showed/​texted Millie a few pictures and she went along with my crazy-​ness! She actually planned out a few details that I could not have thought of myself. I could tell that she really cared about how happy I’d be with the finalized piece.
20 – 30 minutes of shopping later and I came back to the most perfect and inspiration piece of art I’d ever seen in my life. I was so impressed! Millie even made it all sepia-​toned to enhance the theme I was going for! I wanted to have « Unilocal» written into the coconut and Millie made it look like it was carved in. How awesome is that!!!
Even though my plans didn’t work out to give the caricature away as a gift, I still wanted to write Millie an amazing review! She is a passionate, creative, caring, and talented artist and I really hope to see her caricature business really take off! It was such an exciting experience for me!
Come check out SmugMugz at the Spectrum! This little cart/​booth thing is located in front of Buckle! When we were talking I also recall that Millie does private events for birthdays, weddings, corporate parties and more. With Christmas around the corner you can even get a caricature commissioned as a gift!
