During my hour break between classes I stopped by to pick up a pick me up. There were new barristas in training and drinks free! They also did not have the warm sandwich I wanted and replaced it with any of my choosing

As this is my fourth, fifth, maybe 100th time going to this location of Starbucks I will finally give it a rating. I’ve noticed a few things that could be looked at a little more considerably by the staff here to improve their own productivity & customer satisfaction. I’m just a student and am not by any means a master at serving nor do I work there(though I have worked at fast-paced tea and coffee places before so I understand what it’s like behind that bar) at anything so don’t take my word too heavily. 1. Throughout the times that I have been here the first problem that I see is the drink counter. I know they probably have a system or something and I’m sure it has been spoken about before but, until now, I have seen no change. The problem I am pointing out is the fact that there are drinks that are waiting on delivery counter but no one picks them up. Now, I’m not going to point fingers because it could be the customer’s fault for not listening closely enough or wandering too far away or it could be the bartender’s fault for not calling out loudly enough. This problem could easily be remedied by a simple solution: if ever the bartender calls out another drink, whoever that may be, if there are more than 2 or 3 cups on the counter, then call out the drinks again! I know what it’s like being a bartender and I know that the customer definitely will not blame themselves for a bland or no-longer hot drink! It will always be your fault so make it easier on yourselves and call out all the drink names loud and clear if there are more than two or three cups on the counter. I hear so many people complain about this and I sympathize so much with the worker, so please. Stop. I’m also pointing this out because I see bartenders that look and acknowledge the lingering cups but turn away still. 2. Cups are not completely filled. There are so many orders that I have made from here that have not been filled completely. Actually, the first time I came here, my cup was only half full. I didn’t even order something so complicated. It was simply hot chocolate. The place wasn’t even packed yet it took 15 minutes for me to get my hot chocolate. I didnt mind because I saw the manager or supervisor showing the trainee how to make it but then for some reason they left my cup on the back prep. counter and moved onto another drink. When I finally recieved it, it was only filled to about three-fourths of the cup. And it was kinda cold. Today I ordered a passion tango lite ice and my cup was still half ice and even less drink. So I recommend taking a little time to make the drink, as a customer, i wouldn’t mind waiting for a better cup of coffee. And then once the bartenders get the hang of all the formulas better, I’m sure the speed will pick up too. Besides these, I can’t say much else because well the prices are… Starbucks priced and as far as I’m concerned, the drinks taste like how they are supposed to be made(I get Starbucks off campus too like a normal person). I love what they’ve done with the place in terms of more organization and more space to study. Starbucks has always been a packed house but the servers here are super friendly. So nice and always smiling when they help me with my orders. So that’s why I’m giving it the rating that I’m giving it. Because of the people that work there.

I would give them negative stars if I could. Service is really slow. They tried to charge me for WATER. They charged me extra for non-dairy creamer because I’m lactose intolerant. Thank god I didn’t tell them I’m diabetic too or else they probably would have tried to charge me for using my own insulin. No other coffee shops charge for any of these things.

The wait here is usually very long and they want to charge for water unlike other locations I’ve been to. They also charge extra for milk substitutes, if someone cannot have dairy — unlike the other Starbucks locations I’ve been to

This Starbucks always makes my drinks taste different than what they taste like at other locations. Each time I order a hot white mocha, it tastes like sweetened water, where as other Starbucks(even the one down the street by the Albertsons) makes it taste so yummy. The workers do act as if they are doing us a favor by being there. More smiling faces would be nice to see :)

The staff members are always so friendly and I appreciate the remodel they did over winter break. There are a lot more places to sit now. I’m giving it 3 stars because every time I order my drink they burn the espresso. It’s pretty disappointing especially because I usually pay over $ 4.00 for my order. Never the less, it is a good place to study and I’ll continue to drop by until I graduate.

I don’t understand why this location is rated so low. It’s right in the middle of a large campus so the line is usually pretty long, but it surprises me how fast it goes by! They have never messed up my order but I’m not the one to take a drink back if they did anyway. The baristas are pretty friendly and it’s just been renovated for the New Year. It’s a lot more spacious and there are plenty of tables inside and out. This is definitely my go-to :)

I want to give this a 0 star. Cashier was so rude! Yelling at me when I was trying to figure out an order. She was not patient with me or any of her costumers. My friends in line heard her and they were asking me after if everything was okay. Terrible service.

It’s a Starbucks… but even slower, being on campus. The coffee is alright if you’re desperate.

I can’t count how many times my order has been messed up here. Obviously, the workers here are all students, so, no, they can’t do their jobs right. I mean, come on, I really don’t come here expecting correct service anymore. The line is also really long, it’s noisy inside the store(although there is a study room next door, which is usually pretty quiet but you sometimes get the obnoxious person who plays videos or come with their loud friends. Ugh. Just tell the idiots to leave if someone is being that obnoxious.) Another really odd thing are the bathrooms. They are«transgender» bathrooms. I don’t have moral objections to it, actually, but they don’t clean them often and male patrons piss on the floor around the toilet. I’m a woman and there are two bathrooms which could be segregated. It almost upsets me. Especially since drinking coffee does induce urination, so you really do have to stay on top of the bathrooms here. Still, I mean, there are other bathrooms around(like the ones across the courtyard) which are clean and there isn’t piss on the floor. Inconvenient if you’re working on your laptop. I mean, why bother. I never study in here anymore. I pay my overpriced coffee, factor in an extra 5 – 10 minutes if it’s a milky drink and not regular coffee because they will definitely mess it up, and run out as soon as my precious Starbucks is in hand. Feels kind of like what I imaging Cuba would be like. And of course, the good part is I don’t have to leave school to get coffee. I often get coffee from the campus convenience stores instead, but this store is open later and closer to gateway. And, yes, starbucks coffee is quite a bit better while the price is about the same.

There was a lid cover inside my drink. I didn’t notice this until I almost finished with my drink(passion tea). How dare you put a lid inside my precious drink!!!

The one inside UCI is really over-crowded with students. Though I haven’t spent a lot of time inside this one, I think the location is cool. With lot of people coming and going, you might think you don’t have the correct ambience. But it has interesting space for sitting out. They have the regular Starbucks menu, and sometimes offers specials also(Christmas, Thanksgiving also! :P) I am not sure what else a review should have been, but I enjoyed the place outside, just watching people!

Customer service at this location completely fails. It’s non-existent. You’d think this is more of a franchised location than a corporate owned one, since considering all the other Unilocal reviews, you’d think the company would step up and make changes. There was a massive line today — but that wasn’t my gripe, I can understand a Starbucks on a college campus is going to get busy — no big deal, but it was nicely air-conditioned. My issue came when it was time to order. I don’t remember her name, but it was likely she was a supervisor or manager of some sort since she wasn’t wearing an apron, just in plainclothes. She barely acknowledge me, just asked what I wanted and before I could finish with my order«Very Berry Hibiscus no water» — she had already handed my cup off down the line and walked away. So she only managed to write down the VBH part and walked away. Obviously my drink turned out wrong. I was in a hurry(after waiting in line so long) so didn’t bother to have them remake it. The only good thing about this place is that the prices seem similar to other Starbucks — meaning, there isn’t some markup since its located on a college campus.

Lines are always long. Always falls short of my expectations. Always is a waste of time. Also, they make you wait AGAIN for A CUPOFICE after spending half of your life in line. Like I understand if I have to wait for a drink but for A CUPOFICE? Apparently putting ice cubes in a cup is such a huge amount of labor. Never coming back unless it’s an emergency or during rare occasions from now on.

This Starbucks… The cashiers here seems to be a little mad that they are working or something? The girl who took my order has so much attitude and when I asked for light ice, she didn’t even write it on the cup… Wtf how are the barista going to know? I don’t know if the management is aware of this but please don’t hire angry students to work here because it kills the vibe of getting drinks here. It’s not professional to hire angry students who don’t want to even be here to work. When I got my drink… My drink’s lid was all watery and seemed to be because that they’re so busy that they lined up all the drinks next to the sink… I’m not that happy with that kind of products they produced. Despite the rudeness, the sanity also factors in. I’m going to the Starbucks at business school instead… :/

My wife ordered 1 butter croissant and 1 plain bagel(No drinks). Literally they took 25minutes with 2 follow-ups for them to hand off the order only because she asked for it even though its not heated. Unacceptable customer service! Hoping to improve their service very soon.

It’s a rare occasion where I have an experience that makes me stop in my tracks and question«wait, did that really just happen?» Or «are you kidding me?» Etc. I’m also never one to leave a negative Unilocal review because I realize individuals are humans at the end of the day and I could have caught them at a bad time. I usually find good service here during my biweekly visits for a cup of drip coffee. However, today my experience had played out differently. I ordered my usual drip coffee with room and it took longer than usual — absolutely no big deal. When I got my coffee appeared to be leaking and maybe some coffee dripped over the sides of the cup during the process of pouring the coffee to getting placed on the table among all the other drinks. Again, no big deal. There’s an easy solution — get another empty cup to use as a doubled cup to prevent further leaking and so I don’t get sticky from the coffee that’s clearly spilled over the sides of the cup. Here’s where the issue presented itself — I explained my situation briefly with the male barista(didn’t catch his name) and asked him(politely) for another cup. He reluctantly handed me the cup and said sternly«next time I’m charging you 30 cents». I responded«really…the cup you JUST gave me is leaking and is clearly flimsy from the coffee that’s spilled over. In response to me he just walked away. This kind of service should not be tolerable, I’m going to have a difficult time returning with fear that I’ll have a similar experience.

After my interview I was just looking for a place to relax and thank goodness I had my Starbucks app! It’s honestly the only place I can go when I forget my wallet. There is always a good line in mornings and afternoons so I am proud to say I beat the rush! Workers are friendly and the ambience is very calm I always love it here. But I wonder if the prices have gone up? My usual drink was a little more expensive but I guess we all do it for the stars huh?

Popular location at UCIrvine, where the students and staff get their beverage fix. The line was long when I went, but once we got up to the counter, the transaction was fairly quick considering the amount of customers inside. My order was easy(Passion Iced Tea with no sweetener, easy on the ice). The barista made it correctly and it didn’t take too long. They had their Christmas Blend on sale for 50% off, but I did not notice as much merchandise there than at other locations. They seemed to have less selections of food and snacks than the Starbucks in my area. Still, I found the spot convenient for a quick sip and go. It’s too bad the water dispenser was out of water when I went. The line was too long so I didn’t bother asking them to refill it. My guess was that this place gets busy often.

#55/100 Long lines, inconsistencies in drinks. It takes 30 – 40 minutes for them to make drinks when there’s a line. Enough said. When they do make it correctly, it tastes like the watered down version of regular Starbucks. There’s a Starbucks in the Albertsons’ Campus Plaza just down the stret. If you can, go to that one.
