Starbucks

I personally love Starbucks and I’m hooked on their ice coffee!
It’s so good I believe it should be illegal but that’s a whole different story. My go to drink is an iced coffee with cinnamon dolce and easy ice. For some reason a lot of the staff not this one but other locations mixed up cinnamon dolce with coconut milk. So I can tell this is a good Starbucks since they know how to read their markings.
Always clean, super fast, and super friendly!

My to go place for a quick caffeine fix. Always one on every corner. That’s what I I’ve it’s about Starbucks.

Been a regular here since I moved to the Portola area in 2011. I have always enjoyed studying, reading and hanging out at this Starbucks. I know most of the veteran baristas by now, who are all very friendly and excellent at what they do. I know they will get your drink right, especially if you get Ryan, Kristen or George.
You will get the typical experience here at any Starbucks. The busy weekend afternoons, the long lines during frap hour, the many people on their phones and laptops. My own experience here is a little skewed, because there was a period in my life where this was my third home during the evenings. I always liked the amount of open space there was even though the location is on the smaller side, and the mellowness the place usually offers.
The most helpful thing I can share about this location is perhaps when the best time to stop by would be if you were trying to get a seat and get some work done: week days after lunch, weeknights and most Saturday afternoons. There’s also plenty of space and seating outside. Other than that, you might want to just grab your drink to go.

I came here because I saw an ad stating that there was a happy hour of some kind during 3 – 5 PM starting May 6 for about a week for half off Frappucinos. The transaction got processed properly.
There is not a lot of internal seating or even empty space to wait for one’s order. Since there seemed to be a lot of people taking advantage of this offer, it took some time to get. It was like standing around in the JR in Tokyo during not-​busy hours, only without moving. There’s usually a lot of room in the food court next to what used to be that fish place, though, if one needs to sit down.
My Frappucino tasted like I was chugging a bottle of chocolate syrup, so I had to water it down 1:1 to make it more tolerable for my tongue and so I didn’t get diabetes. Oh, well, that means I got two light ones for the price of half of a full sugar one. Heh heh heh.

My mornings will never been the same without a double shoot expresso, or Doppio. Thanks to a coworker who introduced the drink to me. Its been a life saver ever since. Since the mobile order went into effect, ordering became a quick and simplistic process. I do noticed that, even with the frequent staff change, my drink is made to specification every time. As simple as the drink sounds, I always request it in a very specific way: Doppio, over ice in a grande cup. This translate to topping the grande cup with ice first, then let the hot coffee drip over the ice. This cools the coffee once it hits the ice as well as preventing the piping hot coffee from initially touching the plastic cup of theirs. Granted that it can probably withstand high temperatures but it is still plastic. Sometimes, I request them to add the flavor shots to change the flavor index. When the mobile app first launched, I noticed that they imprint your name on your cup. Since I always order extra ice, figured I changed my first name to Iceman on the app which then prints on the cup. The staff gotten use to making my order and began to recognize my order quick. I think they even train the newbies about my order. I noticed the new comers when my drink is presented in a tall cup instead of a grande cup.
Even with the error, they are known to make your drink to your specification. When done wrong or not to your liking, ask politely and they will remake your drink. Staff is solid here so you should be in good hands.
Get a doppio and brace yourself!

Definitely one of the better Starbucks in Irvine. The location is super clean, I like the layout mainly the way to handle their Mobile Orders. If you are a mobile order person like myself, this location makes it super accessible for you to grab your order instead of waiting to get a Barista’s attention. The barista’s are all super friendly as well. The parking and location in the shopping center is not great for commuting.

I’m not a fan of this location. The baristas are either incredibly rude or are just mediocre at best.
I came in once with my husband and when we got to the counter the girl had the WORST attitude — it seemed to annoy her that we hadn’t made up our minds and that my husband had a couple of questions. I was so taken aback by her attitude that I was actually shocked and didn’t say anything.
All of the other times before that, the baristas were kind of whatever. Starbucks employees are usually really friendly and chill.
After that experience I never really want to come to this location again. I hope the manager of this location reads this and re-​trains the baristas.

One of the better Starbucks in Irvine. My drink always comes out exactly as I want it, there is a shelf for mobile orders so I don’t have to ask, and there are charging rings for your phone. However, they don’t do coffee on the Clover, so I have to ding them for that.
Also, the place is a haven for deadbeat laptop users. There is never a place to sit, unless you want to sit outside. They might as well call this coffee oasis the People’s Republic of Laptopistan.

Fast service and caffeine. What’s there not to like? The baristas here make the drinks pretty good. There’s usually a little bit of a morning rush not too bad though.

The worst place to get coffee in the morning. My grande was ²⁄₃ full and so hot it burnt my tongue. This is not the first time I’m unhappy with thus Starbucks but this is the straw that broke the camel’s back for me to write a review about them. Wished this place is a Peet’s coffee instead. They have Way Better coffee, hands down.

By far the best Starbucks I’ve ever been to. Ever.
I’ve been a regular here for around 2 years.
They take the time to memorize your drink and name if you come in a lot.
Can get extremely high trafficked but drinks still come out fast.
My drink is consistently made correctly every single time. Have never had to complain.
And last, the baristas here are the nicest down to earth people!
I’m not even sure why this place is 3 stars only.

Typical Starbucks… Busy people getting their morning cup of Jo… Place is clean… Week managed… And always busy!

Most of the workers here that I have interacted with (including the manager) are so so RUDE. Almost every time I come, the barista has a sour attitude. I’m not usually one to complain about these things, but it has annoyed me enough that I avoid this Starbucks at all cost. The staff here needs to learn a thing or two about good customer service.

5 stars for the employees. Best Starbucks I’ve ever been to, which is why they’ve kept me as a regular for many years thought I pass many others on the way to and from work. I would go out of the way for the service. They always remember my drink, rarely mess up an order, and are always glad to fix it if they do. Shout outs to the following awesome employees (sorry if I miss someone): Katie, Kristen, Ryan, Eric, Julia, George, Ian, Amanda, Leah. I really don’t understand all the negative reviews about George, he’s a sweetie.
A big fat goose egg of zero stars for the customers. If you are ever bored and you want to see the most obnoxious and entitled bunch of wannabe OC housewives and middle aged men undergoing a midlife crisis come on down. You may also run into that elusive person camping in the corner with nothing better to do than harass the baristas and other customers. Or the entitled dog owner who takes their mangy mutt into the store to take a dump and walks out without picking it up. I have advice for them: Get your drink and get out. There are people who actually enjoy coming to this Starbucks and don’t need you screwing everything up.
Oh and you scum of the earth who take tips out of the tip jar to pay your balance because you don’t have enough money? Get out of here.

I live in Woodbury so I frequent this particular location. Every time «George» takes my order I leave regretting ordering a drink there. «George» is rude and arrogant. This particular employee has scolded me on drink questions that I’ve had and been short tempered with me on various occasions. I enjoy walking into Starbucks locations and bring friendly to all staff as I know how laborious it can be to be a barista. I suggest «George» be coached and trained on the basics of customer experience and customer value.

The store is clean and atmosphere nice just like any other Starbucks.
The coffee was good as well.
My only gripe was the manager on duty ‘George’. When I ordered my drink he chimed in for opinion I wasn’t look for and came off as arrogant. Then, as I waited for my drink order to come up I had the pleasure of listening to him bark orders at the other staff there. I feel like he just needs to be coached in what the difference is between a boss and a leader. When it comes to customer service his pompous attitude is really detrimental to the atmosphere and an other wise excellent store.

Staff greets you by name and knows your drink! Best Starbucks I have ever dealt with! Great job guys! Keep it up!

This Starbucks is right by my apartment and I often stop by here for some coffee before work.
It’s a fairly large Starbucks with plenty of seating room inside and outside. The lines are sometimes long in the morning, but with 2 baristas and 2 cashiers, it does go pretty fast.
All my orders have never been messed up here (and hopefully never in the future), so I’m a happy customer.
