The CPR Lady

I was recommended but other students in my RN courses since we have to be certified every two years to world in the medical field. This place was easy to sign up for, the website was easy to navigate, and it’s the cheapest we found. The only thing is that you have to buy a book for $ 17 on top of the 50. Still the best price around. You can literally sign up the day of and they have so many classes available every day all day!
The instructors were all very knowledgable and sweet. I had Mary Ann. They give great feedback! This was my third time being certified and I am definitely the most comfortable after this one!
They have an adequate amount of equipment so everyone is covered! The location is very nice and clean and plenty of parking.
I will definitely come back every 2 years and I am recommending this to everyone who needs it. Thanks CPR lady staff!

The schedule said be prepared for 4 hrs training. I just thought ‘ugh!’ But once you’re in, the class goes by very quickly. I don’t know how anyone can learn to do CPR by online only. It’s one of those skills you don’t want to half-​ass. The facility is clean, spacious, and the instructor is attentive to your needs as she encouraged us all to ask any questions along the way. Best way to renew your health provider BLS training.

I took the BLS renewal class with Veronica and Angelica. It was a fantastic class! The facility is clean, neat, and the equipment is great quality. More than that, these two instructors made the class comfortable and fun! I learned so much and the instructors did a great job engaging the students. I would definitely take additional classes/​renewals at The CPR Lady and I hope that I will have the chance to have Veronica and Angelica as the instructors again!

I discovered The CPR lady through the American Heart Association. I needed to get re-​certified, and The CPR lady was a very convenient place to get certified. I registered for the BLS course 2 days prior to the course date, and I had no problems with online registration.
Upon arriving to the class, I was quickly greeted, given a sign-​in sheet, and a name tag. The class size was also very small (9 individuals), and we each had our own mannequin. I’m used to sharing a mannequin, so the class size was great! We also had extra instructors, who were simultaneously getting re-​certified, assist and direct us for proper hand placement and technique. Typically, CPR courses are taught by a single instructor to a large class size, so I found this to be very beneficial.
I found the primary CPR instructor, Veronica, to be very friendly. While stopping to answer questions, Veronica did her best to get through the sections as quickly as possible. The class began at 5:30 in the evening, and it ended at about 8:45 pm, which was earlier than expected. CPR classes are typically 4 hours, so I was thrilled! Veronica also allowed us to practice each of the techniques until we were comfortable enough to move on, and she instructed us on what questions are asked and which questions are the most missed. Overall, I would recommend The CPR Lady, because they are friendly and fast! They even provided water and snacks! :)

This was the best CPR class that I have ever taken! Helen and the instructors are incredibly knowledgable and really want you to learn. I loved the hands on exercises and videos. I will definitely be coming back in 2 years when I need to renew my CPR certificate again!

Have done ACLS twice here and my CPR. Recently took ACLS here again with the instructor: Brian. He was able to keep your attention with his way of teaching, very knowledgable when it comes to pharmacological indication, contraindications, and effects. He will go over ECGs and give scenarios as a class and drill on how to respond in the situation. Overall, effective teaching! Would take ACLS here again.

Best CPR Instructor Team ever! If you want to experience professionalism on the highest level, learn a lot in a short amount of time and have a great time while doing that, this is the place to go! I was actually a little sad when the session was over ;) Thank you so much to The CPR Lad (y/​ies) and their awesome crew!

I’ve already recommended this place to a lot of people. I have to be certified to get into the credential program, and I was dreading going on a Saturday, but it was great! Everything went by quickly and was not hard to keep up on. Had a great teacher (I’m almost positive his name was Joe). Like I said, I would recommend this place to everyone!

I found the class through Google, America Heart Association. The class was great!!! The instructors are knowledgable and made the class fun. I enjoyed my group and will recommend the class to anyone. The web site directions were easy to follow to enroll, pay and attend the class. I have recommended this course to my son.

Took a Monday night class with Veronica. Let me tell you, she was the sweetest most knowledgable lady! She was approachable, and wanted everyone in the class to feel comfortable with each task being taught. Her instructions skills were top notch, extremely easy to follow and made me feel very confident while training. Not only was the environment clean, organized, and welcoming everyone in the office was full of smiles. As a student, I could really tell these ladies enjoy what they do. It really makes it that much better of an experience when people are positive, uplifting, and encouraging! I will definitely be coming back to The CPR Lady once my certification has expired! :)

Veronica from CPR Lady is the biggest crook ever .Don’t take any classes from them, if you have problems with getting to the class and try to cancel with several days notice they tell you they won’t give you your money back. then you take a class will their partner company and want to double charge you.

Attended a course to renew my healthcare provider certification. The class was well organized and clear and I retained more of the basic information than in past. The staff was competent and supportive and there was enough space and equipment for our full class. Everything was clean. I plan on returning when I need to be re-​certified.

This was the funnest CPR certification I have ever participated in. I enjoyed my group and all my questions were answered quickly. I even learned a couple new things as well.
Make sure that you don’t use your Mobil phone to register for a class. You have to use a PC. I had to make my appointment over the phone and the entire staff was accommodating.

Recently our dental office had the pleasure of having Linda for an instructor and I must say she was by far the best, most informative instructor I have ever had! She truly loves her job and her enthusiasm is infectious! I learned things I never knew before and she even personalized the class just for me a bit when I told her I babysit a toddler. I highly recommend The CPR Lady and will use them again in the future!

Nice, clean and informative! It was a small class, so the instructor was easily able to check technique or answer any questions that we had. The instructors were very nice and really willing to help you out !!!

I needed BLS for HCP as a Pharmacist, but I am going to ask my wife to take the Heartsaver course to possibly save my life someday. The facility and training aids are great. My instructor, Linda Ouellette, was wonderful. Online sign up is a breeze if you know one little non-​intuitive trick. Click on the web site tab «Locations», then the «Full text» link to reveal the affiliated providers, their locations, and the classes offered since The CPR Lady Barranca location only offers a couple classes. You might have to call a particular affiliated provider for dates and times because some of their hyperlinks don’t work that greatly.
For 4-​hour classes like BLS for HCP (there is a 15 minute break at the half-​way point) it would probably be a good idea to eat a meal beforehand. There are only candy, chips/​Fritos/​Cheetos and the like, and water available at the break in the rear of the Training Room. You can bring your own instant coffee, hot cocoa or tea bag (and creamer & sweetener) along with a mug. There is instant hot water available from the water dispenser. You’re on your own though for clean up of the mug after drinking. There isn’t a sink in the Training Room. Take a plastic bag to carry the soiled mug home???
All the other 5-​star Unilocal posts are very accurate. If you need BLS for HCP (4 CEU/​CMEs are free, just ask at check-​in), go to the Barranca location! Facility is right in the cluster of buildings at the corner of Barranca & Technology, diagonally from Costco. Their particular location is in the J-​building, immediately across a driveway from the TriQuest Leasing Office, which is in the K-​building. These directions are actually easier than Google Maps.
One more mention. Wear comfortable clothes (jeans and shorts OK), but you might want to take along a sweater. They keep the room cool because you’ll be making physical exertion. Those that tend to «run cool» naturally will welcome the ability to cover up, if needed.

My husband and I attended the BLS Provider class even though we arent going into the healthcare industry, we are just expecting a baby. I confirmed that this was the class to take. Some other companies offer different classes for providers and non-​providers, so just make sure you check!
I also ordered 1 book for the both of us to share and we were able to pick it up right when we signed in for class. Makes it super easy!
The class was very to the point. Watch a segment of video, practice on the dummy, watch another segment, and practice again. There was also plenty of time to ask questions throughout the day. The instructors walk around to make sure you are doing everything correctly. They are very friendly too!
You get a break part way through. There are some snacks and water provided, which I thought was really nice.
After all the practicing, there is a written test and a skills test before you can be certified. The written test is really short. I want to say about 20 questions or so. For the skills test, they bring you in 3 at a time and you demonstrate what youve learned on an adult mannequin as well as an infant mannequin.
They tell you to allow for 4 hours for everything. I think we were done in about 3. I thought the time really flew by and it was really informative!
Make sure you wear something comfortable as youll be on the ground. They actually made an exception for me since Im pregnant, so I was able to practice standing with the mannequin on a lowered table. I really appreciate that!!!

The entire staff were all wonderful! They all had a lot of energy and were very easy going.
Everything was extremely clean AND they had snacks and water!
I, of course, would be the only person to have trouble getting the dummy’s chest to rise during CPR but they were all so sweet about it and still passed me lol!

I have been with thecprlady for about 15 yrs. and they just keep getting better with every year. The staff is awesome, friendly and make learning fun. I highly recommend them, it’s a CPR experience you will want to have.

My cousin and I were able to book a class 1.5 hours before the class started. $ 67 total including the AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers Student Manual which is required to attend the class. Knock off $ 17 if you already have the 2010 version. I paid for mine online and it was handed to me before class.
When you’re on Barranca, turn right when you see the «TriQuest» sign, make another right, and look for building «J» on the left.
We were instantly greeted with smiles by 3 ladies. First impression of the interior was modern and CLEAN! There is a red and black color scheme. Even the bathroom has cute décor and smelled good. Before class, we were able to snack on the chips, candy, and water provided!
The class was small, with 10 of us students and 2 instructors — Veronica and Angelica who are sisters! They spoke loud & clear, they were funny, they were encouraging and absolutely made sure that everyone understood the material. This was a renewal for me, but it was my cousin’s first time (not in the medical field, he just wanted to learn) and he thought the class was very educational and FUN!
The dummies we used were impressive and worked well! You’re able to see and feel the chest rise to ensure you’re adequately providing air. We were provided knee pads for getting down and performing CPR, but they set up a dummy on a table if necessary. At the end of the class, we wiped our dummies with disinfecting wipes.
After the 3 hour class, there is a multiple choice test and you have to demonstrate the skills you just learned, but it’ll be fine if you were paying attention! Upon passing, you receive your American Heart Association certification card (and CEU, if needed) !!

I’ve gone here three times — twice when it was still in a residential area and once at the brand new location hidden off the Spectrum. The thing that never changes is how friendly and awesome the ladies are here! For the most recent visit this past week, I had the pleasure of meeting Linda, our instructor. She is SUPER knowledgeable, enthusiastic, fun-​loving and has plenty of spunk. LOVED working with her; she keeps everything fun and light, while sharing many tips and even counters against improper things shown in the video. Definitely the place to visit if you’re looking for renewals/​certifications and want to make those 3+ hours a good time :)

I took my BLS class here yesterday and was very impressed with the class format and cost. Linda, the teacher, was enthusiastic and kind and very fun to work with. She was encouraging and made the class feel like every question that was asked was very important. I will definitely come back here to renew my CPR certification in two years.

I had to renew my cpr certification for a new job I am starting and decided to try the cpr lady this time. I have taken cpr classes every 2 yrs over the past 12 years and have to say this was THE best class I have taken to date. They offer smaller classes so you are given more individualized attention if needed. They provide the necessary information needed to pass the hands on as well as the written testing needed to get certification. They dont rush you thru the class amd make sure everyone understands before proceeding to the next step. Despite the number of prior certifications I left this class having more confidence that I will be able perform cpr properly in the case of emergency than any prior class I gave ever taken. I highly recommend the cpr lady for your bls certification.

I needed to get my BLS certification so I found The CPR Lady online. As I first walked in, I was greeted warmly with huge smiles from the awesome ladies of The CPR Lady. They made you feel very comfortable and I enjoyed every moment of my lesson. Since this was my first time, I was a little nervous but the instructors really made you feel relaxed and have all your worries fly out the window. Everyone was really nice and the instructors helped us all the way through. Everyone in my class pretty much passed and got certified. Yes, it was 4 hours long, but they tried to get us out as quickly as possible. It was a fun experience and when I need to get my BLS renewed, I’m definitely taking their class again!
As for finding the building and parking, it was very easy to find with google maps and parking was plentiful.

Working in health care is tough enough with long hours, numerous patients and on call for this and that, ugh. but luckily, when it comes to that time to renew for BLS/​ACLS or PALS, the CPR Lady comes to the rescue!
Came here for my renewal, and it was an awesome experience from the very start. The loc was a little hard to find at first, but when I called, the receptionist was very helpful in directions. Once inside, the staff was very welcoming and organized to get started. The group was all introduced to one another and we were all assisted by Veronica, our awesome instructor. There were detailed videos produced by the American Heart Assoc. to provide us with the correct procedures for CPR and the Heimlich maneuver. Also, the assistant instructors were there to help out, and of course the «Anna» CPR dummy was there for the hands on training. A++ for thoroughness and details guys! I will totally refer to all my co-​workers. Thank you!
Perks: Hands on learning. Great staff that are there for support, encouragement and to answer all your questions. CPR training for Adult, Child and Infant. AHA certification is given then and there after testing. Staff is accommodating with snacks and drinks for break times.
KNOW before you GO: Class can take up to 3 to 4 hrs depending on how everyone does. Be sure to have an open schedule and to try not to show up late. Class instruction and CPR booklet costs around $ 67. This includes the test and certification. So be prepared to take a written and a performance examination, don’t worry! the staff will let you know how to proceed. Also, the class can be somewhat of a workout, so be sure to cool off and hydrate when its break time.
OverALL: Excellent. Great for anyone who needs to renew, or to learn a life saving skill. Not just for Nurses or health care staff, this is great for Teachers, Law enforcement, and brand New Parents too!
