The Flame Broiler

Pretty solid place. friendly staff my food was prepared relatively quickly without me feeling like they had pre made my bowl. If you haven’t tried it make sure to get the half and half bowl its delicious and throw some magic sauce on there and your in heaven.

We went to get three (3) to go lunch bowls before our trip back home. We found hair in one of our bowls and ended up throwing it away. It is disgusting just thinking about it. We can’t complain to the store since we are already 100 miles north of Irvine.

There is no better quick, healthy and good tasting food than Flame Broiler when you’re hungry and just want something easy. I probably eat here at least once a week, and I leave every time completely satisfied and ready to tackle my day. Even better-​I feel good about eating this food. It is healthy as can be and tastes even better. Flame Broiler, you have a lifelong customer in me.

I come here all the time. Several times a month. To the point that the workers know me. The food is the same at most flame broilers, but what makes this location great is such a nice staff. Always helpful and friendly. Plus the rewards program is nice for repeat customers!

I really like this place. The food is very good, although I can’t give 5 stars because it is pricey and smallish portion sizes. It is just barely enough for a meal to feel satisfied, although not full. Which is OK, and for some people maybe this is good because it forces you to have a smaller portion size. But still, I think it’s just a tad too pricey for what you get.
That said, I can’t give any less than 4 stars because not only is the quality of the food good, but also they are very healthy, being specifically gluten-​free, msg-​free and free of some other additives, which makes this place a healthy place to go eat.
It’s usually average busy, you don’t have to wait in line long, and it is a nice atmosphere to eat at. You can get your own sauce as much as you like, I really like their teriyaki sauce, I usually get at least 2 things of teriyaki sauce.
Also, the staff are pretty nice at this location, and you usually get your food pretty quickly.
Also, a nice tip that they don’t advertise, if you want a plate just ask them, they will give you a paper plate for free, it’s under the counter. They keep these for this purpose, although they probably don’t advertise it to save money.
I recommend to get the plate, because firstly the bowl is too small for the food which means your food is going to spill out and plus you can’t mix up the chicken and rice because the bowl is too small.
And secondly, get the plate because then you can keep the food warm by only taking out a little of the food at a time onto the plate and then put the lid back on the bowl. By doing this your food will stay hot until the last bite! :)
Oh yes, and one more tip, you can get more chicken if you exclude the veggies! So if you are in a pretty indulgent mood, you can exclude the veggies and they will fill up the bowl with just rice and chicken, which means more meat! :)

If you like Flame Broiler, then this one is average.
I am a fan of the food, it definitely fills you up for a lunch. But there are two reasons I took off a star from their rating.
#1 — Bowl is too small compared to the food. This is true of all Flame Broilers. It is so hard to mix up your rice and meat/​veggies safely and easily. One of two things happen; either you spill your rice and meat/​veggies on the table, or you just don’t mix them together at all. Another option is to grab another bowl, or to use the lid, but that is just so much work for a quick easy meal when they can just give you a bigger bowl like Chipotle.
#2 — The restaurant just doesn’t seem well kept. I’m not sure if it is because I am always here for lunch, and there are always a lot of people around, but it is just a nightmare waiting around for your food. Luckily there are always tables outside, so as soon as I grab my food I am bolting outside.
Overall, love the food. When I want something healthy, I go here for lunch. Especially because they have a lot of healthy alternatives to Coke!

i really enjoy the food of flame boiler. it’s one of my favorite meals to eat.
but, this place makes it more enjoyable. the customer service is amazing & the employees are super friendly & always smiling.
when i can, i always leave them tips for being amazing. and, i prefer eating at this location than any other. thank you!

Love coming to grab a healthy bowl of freshly cooked food. Juan always greets us at the cash register. He’s always so nice and helpful. I’m very content with this location. Have tried others but none compare to our Irvine — Barranca location with the nicest staff :)

The customer service here was just amazing but oh boy how do they make money with the horrible food they deliver? The food is so tasteless and awful. Im sorry but I will never go back to any of their locations to eat.

Fast food that appears healthy. I don’t know if it is but protein and veggies can’t be all bad. The food is good when you’re in a hurry and can’t stomach a burger. I like to stop here and get the works bowl with veggies instead of rice. Also love the magic sauce and spicy sauce.

I’ve had lunch here quite a few times, the workers are always nice and welcoming and every order has been done quick. The restaurant is very clean, and I’ve never had an order done wrong here. The food tastes the same as all other locations I’ve been to and I knew what to expect.
The price is right, I get more than enough food and it’s always a pleasure to have lunch at this location. The only thing I think Flame Broiler should change is having fresh peppers instead of the canned ones.

This location always seems to be empty. I order just a side of chicken no sauce and it’s super fresh and takes about 5 minutes! :)

Great way to try to find someone healthy to eat, I always get the chicken plate with brown rice and it taste great.

Ive been to 4 flame broilers and I don’t know how they do it but the food is superior here. You would think they would all be the same. Not that I will stop going to the others when it is more convenient. But if I have a choice it is this one. Keep it up!

We had their half & half mini bowls and as fast food we were pretty impressed with them. The chicken & beef had good flavor and they weren’t dry for the most part. Drizzle some magic sauce & hot sauce and call it a day. I’d come back again when I feel like fast food but not burgers.

Most of the time the food is fast and good. They have what they have so if you like it there is no going wrong, not to mention the wife can make a quick decision!
Do make sure your order is correct… They don’t. And the staff while mostly good has a few bad seeds!
Overall great price for the quality of food!

I’m not a big fan of Flame Broiler.
The price is quite fair and the selection is ok.
The place is definitely good for big crowd and family.
The place is definitely not coordinated. When the restaurant is packed with guests, you can wait so long in line to place your order. Then once you do that, you will still need to wait for your table. Not forgeting the food wait time.
However, the staffs are friendly and helpful. That’s a plus.
Overall, I will still give this restaurant a 3 Stars rating.

I was craving some rice and chicken (in a healthy way) and decided to stop by Flame Broiler today on the way back from work. It’s been awhile since I’ve been here but I don’t recall anything spectacular the last time I had it.
I opted for the chicken and veggie bowl (brown rice & white meat) with no sauce. I like adding the sauce on my own accord and don’t like my food doused with it. Anyway, when I got home, I nuked it for about a minute since I like my food hot. The first thing I noticed is that there was a lot of chicken! I also loved how it was cubed in little bite size pieces. The chicken was a bit bland/​dry but it tasted much better with the «magic sauce» (a mix between soy sauce and terriyaki). The brown rice was cooked to my liking — not too soggy and not too dry.
Overall, I was pretty satisfied with the bowl and even though it doesn’t look that big, it was very filling. I would go back again if I am craving some «healthy» rice & chicken!
