Gas is usually fairly cheap and reasonable here. I always stop in for my caffeine fix and to grab a nutrigrain bar or banana before a run. I can usually get in and out no problem and they’re open early. It’s in a convenient location as well. They are also always running deals on their iced teas and coffees! Great little stop to get a cold refreshing drink, fill up on gas and take a break from this summer heat.

Love the crew here, always trying to get people out just as fast, which is what I need. Its probably one of the busiest 7 Elevens I’ve ever been to, but you get out just as fast as you get in.

So this is kind of only a bathroom review, which in all honesty is half the purpose of a convenience store, I figure. As all distance runners can attest, Mother Nature can tend to call in some pretty serious ways when you’re, say, 3ish miles into a long run with nothing but locked office parks as far as the eye can see. Add on a thirsty pooch, and you could consider it the makings of ‘the perfect storm’. This particular 7-Eleven has saved me on more than one such occasion. Don’t misunderstand, I hate leaving Charlie Chan tied to the pay phone around the side(do any non-drug dealers use pay phones anymore anyway?), but if I’m desperate enough to use a gas station toilet, it’s going to be as fast as humanly possible. But much to my pleasant surprise, I 1. didn’t have to fill my lungs while rushing in and hold my breath while using said bathroom and 2. didn’t see traces of previous bathroom users everywhere! A++! The staff was even nice enough to give me a cup of tap water for poor Charlie who was mad about being alone and thirsty. Thanks to this great spot, the subsequent miles were much more enjoyable — for both of us. I should add that as I made my B-line for the RR, I found the rest of the store quite clean and packed with all kinds of goodies including, but not limited to, flavor buttons on the drink machine(ie, cherry, vanilla, etc), baked goods, and the typical American junk foods en mass.
