Staying at the embassy? If u have a car go somewhere else to eat. No car, walk to whatta-burger. Whatever you do don’t eat here unless u like a 10 dollar meal for 25 dollars

Have had several meals here while staying at the Embassy Suites. The food is mediocre to poor and the prices are very high. The service hit or miss, I have had some very good service here and lately, some very bad. The one good comment is that it is convenient while staying at the hotel, especially coming in after a long day and not wanting to go back out, I suppose that is why this place stays afloat.

Excellent place with excellent food and an excellent atmosphere! My husband and I frequent this place. We tried the restaurant out on out«stay-cation» honeymoon because we had chosen to stay at the Embassy DFW South. We were sat close to the koi fish pond which I loved! They were the biggest and most gorgeous koi fish I have ever seen! Our server, Orlando, was just the best! He tended to our every need and even gave is dessert on the house for a wedding gift! I had the Steak Capistrano and hubby had grilled shrimp and both were AMAZING!!! We were served tuxedo chocolate covered strawberries for dessert it was both delicious and a thoughtful gesture! I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel and the staff!!! And would highly recommend this place to any and everyone!

Went here for our anniversary. Order the steak Capistrano(rib eye) and it was the worse steak I can remember eating. Overcooked, full of fat and gristle — unprofessional wait staff, just an overall bad experience. I am used to the manager at high end restaurants coming by the table to see how things are. I saw the manager walking around but he never came by any of the tables. I’ve never complained before but this experience was so bad, I was willing to. Didn’t even get the satisfaction of letting this place know what they can do to improve. I had a coupon that reduced the bill by $ 22.00 but still feel like I was robbed. When the waiter returned my check, they had already added in the gratuity. What!!! I have never had an establishment add gratuity. The whole awful experience still cost me almost $ 100.00. What-a-burger would have tasted better. Avoid this place — it’s really that bad. The only good thing I can say is the atrium is nice.

Peppercorn streak was great. Excellent service. A surprising treat inside the embassy suites.

Small menu to order food from while they are open. The drink selection is pretty good and the beer choice is 5 from the tap and 6 from bottles if you don’t want the standard American Big-3 choices. The bar tender is also the waiter so depending in how much they pay attention you might find yourself waiting for service if you sit down and don’t just go to the bar to order. They also have pretty good coffee at the bar in the afternoon when they open(Starbucks beans) so if you miss the morning coffee bar just stop in there and get your caffeine on! Could be more stars with a slightly expanded menu and a little better selection of beer.

In the realm of hotel restaurants I guess we gotta give these guys a solid 3 star rating. We stayed at the Embassy Suites for a trip to Dallas to watch the Cowboys play and this is their in-house restaurant. Mainly we had their breakfast in the morning which was done well and then on Thanksgiving we did their buffet which was actually very good. Turkey wasn’t dry and I ate like 10lbs of crab legs and none of the employees even batted an eye. Usually you get thrown out for that at buffets in NJ. I guess the menu could be a little more inspired and the manager a little less annoying and overly kind but other than that its a good spot.

It was a cold winter’s night. Snow had recently fallen in Ft Worth and all across the Eastern seaboard. In an effort to avoid any possible delays at DFW as we caught a holiday flight, my husband and I decided to look for a spot for dinner near to but not on the airport property. We Unilocaled and Capistrano’s came up. They open for dinner at 5 pm so we had an early and delicious pre-flight meal. French onion soup was right on for the weather. It was very hearty and hot. Lamb chops were seasoned and cooked to perfection-I ordered medium well. Served with fresh(pretty sure) and julienned carrots which I topped with a little lemon juice. Our server, Ashley, was very attentive and friendly. She did an excellent job. We had a drink at the bar before dinner(our choice… no waiting to be seated for dinner) and the bartender was also friendly and nice. Great expereince, great food and spirits.

I’ve eaten here a few times during my trips to DFW, and it’s your basic total food. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. The french onion soup is actually pretty good, but definitely steer clear of the crab cakes and their pizzas. The crab cakes are frozen and described as pan fried when they’re clearly deep fried. The pizza is pretty bad, with a super bland crust. The bread the give you is just ok, and definitely isn’t make in house. I’m hoping to find something better on the menu next time around! The seating in the atrium is actually pretty nice with the koi fish and a view of the lobby is great for people watching.

Pretty good for hotel food. The atmosphere and background make this place standout. The menu is pretty typical american food. Nothing that would make me absolutely have to come back here except for the fact that the hotel that it is in «Embassy Suites», which i will definitely be coming back to when i travel to Dallas/FT. worth area.

Avoid!!! Alright, I understand that this is airport hotel fare, but for goodness sake, there is not a single thing this place does right. Just getting a seat when it wasn’t even busy took 10 mins, due to the fact that there was no one up front and it took them that long just to notice we were waiting. Once seated you get the option of a buffet(very unappealing, there were like three things to choose from) or the regular menu, which is what we did. I tried the quesadilla appetizer which was terrible, heck, Taco Bell’s quesadillas taste better than this. For entrée I had a steak which left much to be desired, and some cake for dessert which tasted like the frozen ones you get at the supermarket. My dinner buddies had similar experiences with their orders, some of them just not even finishing their meals. Service? Out of the two servers, one was in training and the one who was supposed to be training her was nowhere to be seen half the time to assist the trainee, who messed up something with the neighbor’s table. In a nutshell, terrible place, even in the context of your average airport hotel restaurant. I’d rather have fast food than this place.

I was self employed for 8 years and I drove all over the metroplex eating at various restaurants as an IT Consultant. One restaurant that was an amazing surprise is this one, located in a 5 star hotel with a view and an atmosphere worthy of the most established elitists. Once inside you are in a different world one of the finest food, best service and an environment with a waterfall, Japanese gold fish and a grand piano playing in the background all add to an experience worthy of your best business clients or your better half… Each and every dish I have devoured was perfect, cooked to perfection… I whole heartily recommend the Pepper Corn steak filet. Imagine a two inch thick steak cooked to perfection topped with a wine sauce and sweet cherries lightly seasoned with pepper corn, a side of mash potatoes and steamed vegetables. Portions are very large so bring your appetite and your best friends you wish to impress with this hidden gem of a restaurant…
