Ordered the 4 tenders and fried rice for about $ 3.99 plus tax. The tenders came out super fast and were light, airy, and super crispy! The fried rice was good enough to satisfy my very empty stomach at that time. I was not a fan of their sweet and hot sauce though and i got really tired after processing all that greasy but for tasty food, quick service, and such a reasonable price… It’s good enough that I’ll be back when I’m low on cash and need a quick meal.

Wasn’t to thrilled about the fried rice, but the Hawaiian spicy wings were popping. That alone got them 4 stars from me.

I will rate this place like this I tried the chicken and rice tender and I expected to have a better meal I believe I pay less than 5 $ so I got what I paid for… bad service bad food, but the agua de horchata(rice water) is delicious..

The batter coated fried chicken strips taste good and fried rice is OK. This tempura like coating is airy, crunchy and dripping with oil. You just have to soak away the grease; you’ll need only about hundred napkins for that. Fast food that is tasty and inexpensive.

Strange how the things Unilocalers rave about I tend to hate. This is a solid cheap chicken joint with always hot no frills strips(tempura) and the only fried rice I will eat because it’s flavored nice and doesn’t have eggs. The sauces are laughably disgusting but the salty real white meat strips are akin to long john silvers minus the rediculous price and three times the portion size. Live near this one, drop in often. Kids love them!

Ever since I had chicken n’ rice a few years back, I haven’t been able to forget about it. Sometimes, when I’m craving something fried(often time after a long workout), I pop over to the local CnR and get my fill of fried chicken and rice. Although the chicken strips are yummy, my favorite would probably be the different sauces. The daily deals are pretty much icing on top. I definitely advice getting carry out though because the dining area is pretty cramped and temperature is quite hot.

The chicken tenders were decent but the fried rice and the teriyaki chicken had a weird flavor. The employees are short, but not friendly. The seating area always needs to be cleaned, and are sometimes even sticky. It’s kind of disgusting. It’s too bad they didn’t up their inside when they upped their logo.

Over a week ago, a friend of mine has introduced me to Chicken & Rice(now abbreviated«C ‘n’ R» for some reason). Over the years, I walked by their place whenever I would make my blood donations, but never tried it until that day. Much of their menu is just that, chicken and rice(hence the name) plus a few other specialties. The last item ordered was the fried chicken tenders and fried rice… their Wednesday Special, and I gotta say, it’s the most delicious chicken tenders I’ve ever tasted from that place! Although it is true that their chicken strips are popular, it was the taste and the quality that counts. The only nitpick is that the tenders are a little bit greasy, which may affect an individual’s healthy lifestyle. So if you do order from this place, do so in moderation.

GREASY!!! Feel sorry for myself for not trying the fried rice. I would have given it 3.5 stars, but I just bumped it up to 4 stars because the price is so reasonable! Had 10 chicken fingers, a box full of fries, and drinks for $ 12. Can’t complain.

greasy as you can get, but for cheap chicken tenders on a small bduget, why not? Just work if off later with some wine and a 5 mile run

The Chicken finger strips are lightly battered in a tempura like batter, which gave it a airy crunch texture, you can still see the oil glistening on the chicken strip. What I didn’t like was the oily after taste that the chicken strip left behind on my tongue. I had to soak my chicken strips with the house made sweet and sour dipping sauce to kill the greasy aftertaste. The sweet and sour sauce is the only unique flair to this place really, unless you are on a really tight budget and want to get more bang out of your bucks! The fried rice was bland and not what I would want to eat unless I am really starving.

I can only say one thing about this place — the food is uneatable. I got the chicken tenders platter and they had the consistency of a greasy brick. The Rice tasted like dirt even when bathed in hot sauce and nothing at all could save that poor overcooked chicken. Bottom line: I am giving this place one star because I have to — If Unilocal would allow negative stars I would rate this –5. The food here can probably substituent as pesticide. Needless to say I will never go back to Chicken and Rice!

Chicken-n-Rice. It’s exactly what it says. Fried chicken tenders. Fried Rice. It’s delicious! Not good for you at all! The atmosphere itself isn’t the best, so just get your food and go. They have a special everyday of the week and I know Mondays are 4 tenders and rice for 3.99. I go because when you are broke, you need cheap and good. And this is it! I like the sweet and sour sauce, I do hate that extra sauces costs 10 cents though. But you really only need one extra if that.

Fried chicken, and fried rice. And a Gyro if you want one. Ghetto atmosphere(11 cents for folding chairs and hot sauce is ten cents) and things take longer then they should, but hey, it’s good and cheap.
