Griff’s Burger Bar

This place and its parking, drive thru are just plain moronic. Casually turned in, to eat inside. Was forced into drive thru with no way to get out of it. (There were cars behind me). Meanwhile, they have the parking lot BLOCKED off. So, my friend and I meeting for lunch, waited in a drive thru line for :15 minutes without ordering, JUST TRYING TO GET OUT OF THIS MESS! W T H? !? ! So, while I’m waiting on all this, I look them up on Unilocal… Mediocre reviews at best. I’ll Pass. If you want to dine in & are heading EAST BOUND on a one way street… DONT TURN IN.
Certainly there is another way guys… Seriously

They do not allow more than one order per car in the drive-​thru. The jerk taking my order sarcastically told me I could get two orders of I came in.
Won’t be back.

This place is mediocre at best. The burgers are well done and the parties are very thin. Also they have no seasoning whatsoever. We got an order of chili cheese fries which came in a hotdog boat. For a three pattie burger a single mushroom burger and 2 chili cheese fries and 2 drinks it was 17 $. Cheap, greasy mediocre food. I probably won’t be going back.

Nickel and diming people. Crappy customer service. 30 cents for a small bbq sauce? My strips should come with it. My company won’t be back.

This place was awesome! Great customer service… cool burger joint! The food is better and cheaper than some of these other burger joints! Will be back for sure! Maybe even eat it twice a day!

I’ve been craving griffs for a while so I decided to drive to Irving to get some.
Immediately I noticed the manager and cook did not wear gloves when they were prepping the food. The manager walked around the kitchen opening doors and came back to prep more burgers without gloves. Wtf!!!

Great burgers one of my favorite burgers places. I go every other weekend. Would recommend to go.

This is my absolute favorite place to get a burger. My husband and I have been to burger places all over the U.S. and we have yet to find a better burger joint. It’s the first place I go every time I come to Texas!

its ok. burgers are small. I honeslty would rather have a big mack. its pretty much mcdonalds quality. go to in n out for quick delicous burger :))) oh and tried this when they were opening back up after renovations. and it was busy. but WAY WAY WAY OVERHYPED AND OVER RATED!

I tried the simple burger and really liked it! What I loved the most were the fries!
Aside from the delicious food, the people working there weren’t really attentive but I wasn’t really upset about it. I’ll be going back for the food!

NO. Just say no!
My husband and I visited Griff’s because we are on a continuous quest for the Holy Grail of burgers and heard this place was a gem. Well, it isn’t. The cheesy potato spuds were good and the burgers were OK, but peep this:
I went to pick up my order from the front and sat down and opened the box that I thought contained my burger. I lifted up the bun to check the contents to make sure everything was correct (as I always do) and saw that it was a chicken sandwich and not a burger with bacon. It wasn’t too big of a deal, but I went back to let them know I’d gotten the wrong order. Surely enough, my food was in a different container and they handed it to me… AFTER PUTTING THE SANDWICH I’D TOUCHED BACK IN THE WINDOW!!! Now, I know that personally I am a pretty clean person, but that is just not right. It doesn’t take a genius to know they should’ve tossed that sandwich and made a new one for its rightful owner.
Oh, but I’m not done yet. We were eating our food and my husband leaned over and whispered to me, «I don’t want to freak you out, but that lady totally just took the trash out [and smoked a cigarette] and went back behind the counter and didn’t wash her hands.» BLECH!
In retrospect, I should have said something and asked for our money back, but I was tired and really didn’t want to end up making a scene. Instead, we will simply never be back to Griff’s knowing their appalling lack of hygiene/​food handling. Get your act together, management.

Pretty good burger and fries, this has been a mainstay in Irving for many years
Probably find better burgers at the upscale restaurants like red robin etc. but for a quick drive through, griff sis as good as any and better than most.

Griff’s is a local burger place that has been in Irving as long as I have. Even before the rebuilt the building and upgraded everything they were delicious. If you want a burger that is cooked when you order it, the way you want it and tastes great, definitely give Griff’s a try. They also have the best onion rings I’ve had at any fast food type place. When I’m craving a burger and not cooking it myself, t his is my go to place.

Why did it take me so long to eat here?!
Phenomenal experience. Triple meat and cheese with bacon and jalapeño. Fries were nothing short of fantastic. Juiciest, tastiest burger I’ve had in a while. Will definitely be back, and a lot!

This place doesn’t even deserve one star that burger was trash fries cold… called to let manager know and she was rude and disrespectful. I will never go to the piss poor place again.

This restaurant has a multitude of issues. I go in there almost everyday with my coworkers so they can eat. I personally would NOT eat the food.
1) The lobby is always filthy. The trash is always full and literally overflowing with ketchup running down the front of the bin. Tables with dried ketchup and left over food still sitting there. Trash littering the floor.
2) The bathrooms are always a disaster. There is toilet paper all over the floor along with trash covering the sink. Urine and feces ALL OVER the toilet. On an occasion there was feces splattered on the WALL. How does one even go about doing that? I wouldn’t even squat over that toilet.
3) The employees are rude. They ignore customers to the point that they give up and leave. They argue behind the counter for the entire restaurant to hear. They hang out in the parking lot smoking weed for the customers to see and smell. That’s a good way to make customers not return. I’ve seen employees buying and selling drugs in the lobby and parking lot– I’m considering reporting this restaurant to the cooperate office due to the frequent drug deals. Customers have to listen to the young men talk to the women about the things that they would do to them sexually and the unflattering compliments they give them are just ridiculous. Honestly– they might as well drop their pants and have sex on the counter. They really need to implement a sexual harassment training more often if they don’t have it already– which I am assuming they don’t or they wouldn’t act like a bunch of horny idiots. The employees go back to work from their breaks and don’t wash their hands before handling food nor do they wear gloves because apparently they don’t have to unless it is requested.

I’ve eaten here a few times. The first time I was kinda impressed. The second and third… Well, the burgers are above average but not great. I recommend trying this place at least once. The parking space is horrible though.

Cashier was outside smoking when we pulled in and and went straight in and started taking orders without washing his hands. The customer service is poor.
