Great Catfish!!! Loved it! Got take out and brought back to hotel. What a great find! Thanks Unilocal! The area is a little sketchy, and the characters on the street in the area are to be watched but the food is yum!

Bring a date here. She won’t be impressed with the seating. It’s smallish. But she will love you for the food it is very good perfectly breaded and spiced large fillet cat fish. I can’t wait to come back

Food was good and hot. The staff was very courteous and provided good service. The music in the back was a bit loud, but everyone waiting on their food were friendly and some were regulars. It was my first time. I’ll go back.

The cajun shrimp is amazing! The fish is crunchy and flaky. Sooooo good. If only he’d stay open or not run out of food. I went 5 times with a «Sorry we closed» sign. It would help to call first.

The seasoning is ah-mazin! I got the Mr. B’s Platter and added the jerk seasoning to it. It was spot on!!! The fries and catfish have seasoning on them too just how I like it. Their fish is way better than Top Cat! I wish I found this place sooner. We’ll definitely be back many times! Oh and their tartar sauce is on another level!

I should have reviewed this a long time ago as I’ve been several times. The customer service is good. The chicken is good. The catfish isn’t bad, but doesn’t taste like fish at all. There is a constant sewer smell in the building and is actually a turn off. I support them and hope they remedy this issue. It’s been going on for at least a year

While the food was great at first. Things have gone down hill during the past few months. We moved by the area a year ago, checked this place out and called in a order to go. The catfish is good and the greens are incredible. That’s all I ever ordered from there. But here are the problems. 1. The place is dirty and stinks. I doubt the kitchen is any better. 2. They don’t have a working phone anymore. It’s been this way for months. Can’t call in an order anymore. 3. And when you do go by to make an order, expect to wait 30 to 45 min. 4. A few too many times they didn’t have what’s on the menu like greens. I no longer go there anymore. It’s a shame because they were really good at first but that’s no longer the case.

I was kind of excited to try this place because of all the great reviews I saw. After I ate there I left a little disappointed. I got the big plate which has a little of every thing on it. corn fritters, hush puppies, fries, chicken and catfish. I thought the catfish was good but other then that everything else I thought was just ok. The chicken was overlooked and a little dry and the corn fritters and hush puppies were I left I took some peach cobble with me which the guy claimed to be the best you will ever have. I hate to break the news to the guy but I have defiantly had a lot fact I only ate a few bites of it. I really wanted to like this place. One thing I can say the people there were really friendly. Would I eat there again? maybe if I lived around there but sad to say I wouldn’t go out of my way.

Was really disappointed. The reviews said it was the best catfish, but is was greasy and chewy. The chicken thigh(because they only had legs and thighs) was also greasy and tasteless. The chicken strip was chewy and greasy also. The collard greens may just as well have come from a can. The tartar sauce(if you can call it that) was orange tangy and watery(they called it homemade). Will never eat here again.

The food is delicious but not much of it. Only two small corn fritters in each of our meals, no hush puppies(I guess they forgot to put them in), a very small order of fries(only enough to go in small section of take out box). Ate it all but left a little empty. Price was more than a $. Should have been a $$. Our meal was $ 18+ for two people without drinks or dessert or tip. Great taste but will not be back

We had a craving for chicken and waffles but found this hole in the wall spot instead. We ordered the catfish, shrimp, hush puppies and macaroni & cheese combo for $ 7.99 and the Mr. B’s special which was chicken, catfish, corn fritters, fries and hush puppies for $ 8.49. We each wanted a side of collards but the cashier suggested getting a large because it was cheaper and 2 cups of koolaid which was only $ 1.00 + free refills. We came out winning because it was a lot of food. The food was well seasoned, however, the catfish was a bit over cooked and super greasy. The shrimp, hush puppies and macaroni & cheese were also delicious. The corn fritters were my favorite. It was like eating a dessert and the koolaid was not too sweet. The place stayed busy while we were there. Some regulars and some newbies. I will definitely come back for a fulfilling meal.

This is my second visit to Lee’s. The catfish is cooked just right. Crispy but not overdone and the coating is a mixture of breading and cornmeal. The filets are a good size, not thin and tasteless fish. I ordered the #1 this time 1 piece of fish and 3 shrimp. The shrimp was fried well, fresh and not rubbery at all. The fries although frozen had just the right amount of seasoning so they really didn’t need ketchup. The service is fast and courteous. This will not be my last visit. Good food, a place to eat it while it’s hot because you want hot fish, and made it back to work on time. That’s a win in my book

My second visit to this place, and just like the first time I was vary satisfied. I called in my order, she toyld my it whould take 12 min. I went to the bank and got held up another 30 min. When i arrived she asked my name, and i still got fresh hot food. I ordered the catfish and chicken. It was my first time trying the chicken and it was very tasty and good. I’m from Louisiana and this is the best catfish I have found since I been here. They are very friendly people and I can tell they do what they can to please their customers. When my food was ready she brought it out and open it up to see if I was ok. I ordered an extra piece of fish, so I saw 2 catfish and a chicken leg. I told her yes. As i was leaving out the door. The guy in the back cooking stopped me and said let me see your plate right quick. I gave it back and waited. When they gave it back he had added 1 more piece of chicken. I really appreciated that because the chicken was very good.

This place was just great. Alfred made us feel right at home from the beginning. We had catfish, shrimp, fries and hush puppies with sides of Mac n cheese and collard greens. Everything was delicious, and I especially liked their special tartar sauce(a bit of spice to it). We enjoyed our food with a beer from the store next door and we even got some banana pudding to go. 2 big thumbs up!

I rarely do 5 star reviews but this is as good as it gets. Just clarification, I’ve not been to Catfish House that everyone raves about on here. Flipped a coin then saw the greens on the menu and decided to come here.(Catfish house won the flip). It’s in the plaza with the one stop convenient store btw. I passed it up of course. Looks like a hole in the wall with a few tables and a flat screen with the Carolina v Cardinals game on. Guy outside selling purses and accessories. Ambience is on par with other good soul food places I’ve been Ordered the 2 piece catfish with fries and hushpuppies. Added a side of collard greens. What I really liked is that he showed me the food when it came out to make sure it was to my liking. Either the cutie behind the counter or the cook threw an extra piece of catfish in there. Thanks ;). Looked delicious. Even stopped at La Margarita for a rita and got home and it was still warm Yummy yummy yummy. I couldn’t even finish 1 piece of catifsh, half the fries and 1 hushpuppy. Catfish is seasoned to perfection and the portions are large. I would prob try to sub the fries next time but I’m not a fry fan, and the hushpuppy was delicious. How about that homemade tartar sauce? I hate tarter sauce and I was dipping everything in that sauce. Collard greens are Really good! Best catfish I’ve had here in DFW area so far and I’m picky as you know if you read my reviews. I’m stuffed and can’t wait to warm up the leftovers over the next few days. I would fall asleep but football is on. Come get it

I had seen Lee’s by chance last month when I came to the Dallas area to look for a place to live for an upcoming job transfer, but didn’t have a chance to drop by. Well, we moved in tonight and my brother in law and I thought catfish sounded mighty nice. I remembered passing by Lee’s previously and so we gave it a spin. Damn, we’re glad we did. 6 thumbs up(well, there were 3 of us there :)) We ordered the Mr. B’s special on the recommendation of Mr. B himself and we were not disappointed. I happened to pick up the corn fritter first and just about died, it was so good. Everything came out of the kitchen smoking hot(not literally smoking, just a phrase) and it was so yummy I didn’t care that I was burning my mouth trying to eat it. Some things are just worth the pain, you know? My wife missed the experience because she hasn’t come in from California yet. We’ll have to initiate her next week ;) And yes, I would have to second the friendly staff.
