for the price, this is the best sushi around-been going for a long time and the fish is always fresh– service is very good

Not the best selection on the lunch buffet. Not too excited about trying this restaurant today. Looking forward to going back to my regular spots. The sushi that was available was somewhat bland. No real flavor going on. Ugh disappointing lunch.

The taste was very good all the time except the quantity of the food though. It is different depends on what u order. I ordered salmon teriyaki which was not enough, but the tuna roll was sufficient for me. Im willing to come back again.

I came to Midori while checking out places in my new neighborhood. I was not aware from the outside that I was walking into a sushi buffet, so I was a little surprised by that. After looking at the sushi buffet and comparing it to the menu, the 11.99 buffet seemed like the way to go. The food was good, not great, but well worth the price, especially for the area. Some buffet highlights: –The hot items, such as chicken teriyaki, egg rolls, dumplings, tempura, etc. were kept warm, however there was no refrigeration on the cold items, i.e. sushi and rolls. –The tempura was light and crispy as it should be. –The chicken teriyaki was very nicely preparedwith a nice taste of char grill and teriyaki sauce giving it a great flavor. –The fried rice was really good with lots of flavors coming through. –The sushi and rolls were not bad, but not great. Once again, I was a bit concerned not of it was refrigerated, so I watched for fresh stuff to come out and went and grabbed it! — Dessert consisted of orange slices and cheesecake bits. Neither blew me away. They do draw quite a crowd, so plan on getting there early.

Nothing is more important in sushi than freshness. The yellowtail and the super white tasted as if it had just come out of the ocean!

Came in with 3 friends for their 11.99 lunch buffet and left feeling sick to my stomach. I’m a huge sushi fan and this place was easily the worst sushi I’ve ever had. There was a poor selection and the fish tasted pretty old. All 3 of my friends agreed the place was bad. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

The tuna tower was alright nothing great. The rice was seasoned with a seasoning that does not taste good with the tuna and the rice was overcooked too much. Also wish they had more off that carb filling. Also they have lunch specials which are pretty great.

Stumbled on to this place completely on accident. Glad I did. First the art. The walls are covered with beautiful painting. I can’t remember the last time I was in a restaurant with so many paintings. Forget the food, come here for the art. Just kidding. Now let me talk about the food. Great! Do you like sushi? Do you like original new ways of getting sushi presented to you. If you answered yes you will love this place. I eat sushi on a regular basis. I really like when my tuna is fresh. The tuna is sooo fresh here. I could also tell that they cut their own ginger — not serve it out of a can. Service? I felt like they never left my table. Oh my, what a gem!

Just had lunch here. Super friendly service and great sushi. We didn’t do the buffet but ordered off the menu. Best yellowtail sashimi I’ve had in a long time and the gyozas come with this awesome hot jalapeño ponzu sauce… Red Dragon and Summer Roll with no egg = No Joke! Nigori sake gekkeikam excellent too!

The buffet is a great deal. The sushi is fresh, calm and laid back atmosphere, attentive waitress, 12 a plate for all you can eat freshly made rolls. Had California rolls, Philly, shrimp tempura, lobster roll, spicy tuna and all you can eat spring rolls! Yummy!

I’ve been going to this place for years. The food is great, the atmosphere is meh, the service usually isn’t that great, but it’s improving. When you go, you get the miso soup and a chef’s special fried roll as a starter. For the sushi, the prices and the size of the pieces are fantastic. You really can’t beat the price. I love the salmon and tuna, and the ahi tower is delicious.

Best sushi! Excellent service! And pretty inexpensive. Sometimes they’ll bring you free samples to the table which allows you to get hooked on new things, very smart midori! And they always serve you a miso soup as a free starter. I love coming here my favorite is the smoked salmon. Quiet relaxed atmosphere it’s great!

The sushi buffet is set at a fair price, but it’s totally not worth it after you realize how limited the selection is. The sushi itself was not good. Didn’t taste fresh and I left the restaurant feeling totally disappointed. 2 stars, only because the staff was nice.

Pretty good sushi. A ton of different options. They are vegetarian-friendly and can adjust the rolls if you want them slightly different. Excellent fried rice, moist and delicious. Happy hour pricing is pretty good. Some of the better sushi I have had in Dallas.

Sushi is okay, a bit pricey for the lack of variety. Items that are supposed to served hot are room temp… didn’t care for that. $ 13 for buffet with water.

I’ve been to Midori three or four times, and while the service has always been good, the sushi is mediocre. The one good thing about this place is their lunch buffet special for $ 11, but even that has a downside: the food, even when recently prepared, rarely tastes fresh. The only thing keeping me from giving Midori a one star is on account of the good service, and the nice décor and dining atmosphere. That being said, one would be better served driving a few miles north to Edohana Sushi, which is cheaper and better overall.

The service at Midori’s is wonderful. I’m glad that I can say this much because the sushi made me sad. At 6pm on a Saturday night, my trio of friends were the only people in a restaurant that could easily seat 100+. We stopped in because it was crucial to grab a bite before starving for the next 4 hours at a concert. The appetizer roll that they gave us on the house was a nice gesture and wasn’t completely flavorless. Miso soup was also provided while we looked over the menu. I ordered a crispy salmon skin roll and it was a shell of what a crispy salmon skin roll was suppose to be. The rice to filling ratio was too high and the«filling» itself was almost non existent. I do have to mention that they did give me a nice matchstick pile of crispy salmon skin but other than that the role had no notable features. My friends rolls mimicked mine in terms of the rice to filling ratio. The waitstaff at Midori’s is first class but the sushi could use a real makeover. I won’t be back here for the food. 2 ½ stars

Extremely underwhelmed by my experience here. I try not to set my expectations too high for a lunch sushi buffet but with from the reviews, I expected a little more or at least comparable to sushi yaa/sushi ninja in Arlington. The food was clearly not fresh, the rolls were uninspired, flavorless and the ratio of rice to fish were bad even for a buffet i.e. 90% rice to 10% fish.

My husband and I came here on a Saturday night, around 8:30. We were sat immediately and each given a generous bowl of Miso soup and a sample of the Number 3 house special sushi. I didn’t try the sushi, but my husband LOVED it, and of course went ahead and ordered a roll. We also got a California roll, a shrimp tempura roll, and a crawfish tempura roll. With my husbands iced tea, we left BEYOND full and satisfied for $ 25! All four rolls were delicious, my favorite being the crawfish roll, it had great flavor, and my husbands being that Number 3 roll. The only minor complaint was that the rolls aren’t rolled very right, which makes it a somewhat messy experience. We were already talking about coming back the next day!

Pretty decent lunch buffet. You must get there before 11:30 before the rush comes in. If you have time, check out their wall of famous people. You will be surprised to see who has eaten here. Overall pretty tasty sushi with a good variety of sushi delights.
