Montessori of Las Colinas

My 12 month old was only here for 1 month before I had to take my child out.
When I enrolled my child I was told the teacher student ratio is 6:1. My child was only enrolled for 3 days a week. After the second day my child came home with a diaper rash that looked like she was burned. It was very upsetting since it was only the 2^nd day. Until then my child has never had a rash before. And, YES, I know it happens but it was a horrible rash which took 2 weeks to heal.
On the 3^rd day of her enrollment at this school, she came home with a bruise on her face. I was worried because I had no idea how she got this bruise until I notified her teacher. Her teacher then tells me that she came to school that way and she was going to ask me but she forgot. Then later texts me, telling me that it happened in the morning before my child’s teacher got to school. She fell and hit her face on some blocks? Okay… That bruise lasted 2 weeks, ALSO. I get it… kids get hurt all the time. I would just have appreciated an incident report or courtesy call.
After the first week (3 days) I asked the teacher if she could send home some type of progress report? A «my day sheet», anything that informs me what my child did, ate, BM’s, diaper changes etc. The teacher replied that she would do the best she could since she had 10 kids to herself with no help.
When she told me that. I spoke to the director. The director then told me that she had 12 kids in the class and they were getting help the next day.
When I first met with the teacher she explained how she would send text msgs, video, pictures, DAILY to update me on my child’s progress… later she explained she couldn’t do that unless it was her break time and she was not suppose to use her phone during work/​school hours… THEN she asks who my phone provider was. She was with AT&T and was very limited to sending texts to any other provider.
She started sending home the daily sheets, she said she found one awhile back and she’ll start using it for my child.
Finally, I was done. I couldn’t deal with any more excuses. I got my child out. I was paying WAYYYYYYYYYYYY too much. But money was and never will be an issue when it comes to care for my child. I spoke to a district manager and all I received was a «sorry, i’ll check out the school» I personally think it’s management and the director that need to resolve situations like this. I don’t think the teacher is much to blame when she has 12 TODDLERS to herself with NO help.
