Planet Tan

Since my comment got deleted… I will rewrite it again. Mari needs a good wake up call, bc the way she treated me at the store and did not clean the mystic tanning booth, was uncalled for! She did not listen to me and had no remorse. Im sorry but I work in the corporate world and I need to look professional, not dipping my feet in the nasty puddles of dirty, old mystic spray. I provided photos. I am going to delete my membership today. I have friends who already reported her to the dm.

This was the best tanning salon I have ever been to in my life! I don’t live in Texas, right now, but I did have a membership here before (honestly I already thought that I had written a review but realized I had not, so here’s my 2¢).
Desiree was the person who signed me up & she was fabulous! I don’t know if she is still there, but other people were just as nice. I used a variety of their beds, but my absolute favorite was to use the VersaSpa system! VersaSpa is an automated spray tanning booth that you step into. Desiree stepped inside and modeled what to do, saying it was sort of like making Egyptian poses, which is true, haha.
You get completely undressed, put on a hairnet (supplied), put on a special lotion (supplied) onto the soles of your feet & your palms, then you step in, and it gives you directions on how to stand to maximize your spray tan, then it says when you will be sprayed, and tells you when to switch positions. After all of the sprays, a fan blows top to bottom, and bottom to top to help it dry. All the while the machine is speaking directions to you. If you have used a self-​tanner spray tan, or had person use a hand-​held device on you, you probably had a bad experience, well forget all of that, because this was awesome. If I lived there I would definitely use the VersaSpa at least once a month, it is that fabulous! If you have a special occasion, I would highly suggest that you tan and get a VersaSpa the same day, right afterwards. Just don’t wear a bra/​panties that you love, or clothes, it did stain my tank top and bra/​panties one time, after that, I just stood there for 5 – 10 minutes to let it air dry the rest of the way, playing around on my phone and then got dressed. I also suggest getting some sort of body scrub and doing an exfoliating treatment yourself, then shave afterwards, then later that day, or the next go to Planet Tan for tanning & a VersaSpa spray tan.
I cannot speak highly enough for this location of Planet Tan! The staff is very friendly, and knowledgeable on their products. The location is awesome, it says Las Colinas, which is located in Irving Texas, and in a little strip mall (I hate that description) but that’s what it is, haha. There is a Steinmart, and a few restaurants nearby. Parking is plentiful, well lit and I almost always found a spot right in front, which is awesome if you’re a girl who tans alone, after school/​work when it is dark.

Awesome customer service! The new manager Logan was so helpful and very accommodating, couldn’t be happier. One of the best Planet Tans I’ve been too, highly recommended!

Nice staff! They were very helpful to explain the process without making me feel dumb and all my options without being too pushy. The facility was very clean and spacious. I have been here twice and never had to wait. I will return!

Love the excellent customer service from the staff. Ive been a member for about five months. The facility is clean and the tanning beds are first class. You won’t be dissapointed!

I’ve been going there a few times already and asked not to have my info. In their computer. The «so» called «manager», said, that we didn’t allow this that it is against the law. I said, fine here’s my ID but then she told me to wait until she did all the other customers first and would mean waiting for a while even though I was the first customer. She had no clue what was going on and looked confused! Unprofessional! and will not be going back there. My friend that was left behind said, she was discussing me to the other customers even though she was the idiot!

Last year I tried out Palm Beach Tans. I really didn’t like it and got the 30 day money back guarantee. There I felt like I was buying a used car. It was such a hassle. I left there spending wayyy more than I had planned as I’m not good at saying no to the hassling sales pitches. So I put off going somewhere this year because I just didn’t want to deal with that. I don’t tan year round, I don’t tan to get super dark, and I tan easily outside. I just want a month or so to get a little base, clear up my blemishes to get ready for summer. The people at Planet Tan were not what I expected. They were nice, hassle-​free! I got what I asked for. Told her I already had my own lotion, and she didn’t hassle me to spend another $ 100 to only walk away feeling had. The place was clean, and they had a nice selection of lotions. They had a ton of beds so there wasnt a wait. I’ve only been once so far, so I can’t comment yet on the beds.

I just moved to the DFW area not too long ago and was looking for a new tanning salon. This place is right by me so I thought I would stop in.
Everything here is awesome! The girls were very knowledgeable and helpful and not stuck up like a lot can be. I haven’t burned once because of their suggestions and the place is spotless. Product line there is amazing as well.
Will definitely keep coming back!

I have going to this location for a few years and have had a sunless tanning membership for even more years. This location has too many problems with its Versa Spa sunless tanner booth. I have had 2 instances where one or more of the sprayers craps out during my session, leaving hideous patchy results. Their only solution has been to run home and shower, or get in the Mystic, which has different colorants. Whoever is in charge of this location needs to get their equipment running properly for its long-​term members. I would have been extremely upset if I had purchased the tan as a walk-​in.

Glad to have been grandfathered into an awesome plan. Unlimited spray tans and bed tans up to level 2 for $ 40?!? Heck yea

What a pleasant surprise. I’m fair skinned, and was seeking just a touch of color to prepare for my wedding and some bridal portraits. I expected the worst and even started planning how to evade an attempted up-​sale and even the ‘you need to do the full time in the bed to see any results’ garbage, but no need!
The employee who signed me up was realistic and sold me what I wanted, not the most expensive package that would be far above and beyond what I need. He was honest, helpful, and professional. He put me in a bronzing bed for just 5 min my first time to make sure I didn’t burn and he offered me some alternative lotions but wasn’t insistent or pushy.
It was nice to be listened to, treated like a valuable client, and not expected to just know how it all works when it’s clear just by looking at me that I’m a newbie.

Man, these people are the rockstars of tanning. I went for a Versa Spa spray treatment and had the best experience.
All tanning salons really push memberships, product sales and upgrades, but the girl I worked with here made her sales routine interesting and comfortable. She assured me I wouldn’t look like Ross on Friends in the episode where he turned orange from spray tanning. She actually made me smile with all of her tanning analogies and names for the crazy types of beds they offered.
When I was leaving, she walked me to the door, opened it for me and thanked me for coming. When I got in my car, I even saw her cleaning the entry door. THAT is a dedicated employee!
It got me wondering. If I would have been scared in the tanning booth, would she have held my hand?
