Great and authentic food. The Momo’s are a must try, especially the chilli and green ones! Very cosy and warm ambience with a snooker table inside so you can play a game while you wait for the food. A must visit place!

I ordered the stream momo and fried momo and both of them were delicious. The only problem I had with this place was I had to wait long time even though I ordered my food from phone before heading there. Waitress were slow. I asked them for water and it took them 30 minute to serve me the water.

After the renovation and new décor, the place looks very cramped and claustrophobic. The floors are sticky and the customer service lack. The food quality has however improved a lot. They need to work on the dining area and make it more cosy and welcoming.

Long wait !! If you order to go, they will tell you to come after 20 minutes. But expect at least of another 45 minutes of delay. If you have all day I think this is the perfect restaurant to go as they take forever for dine in + to go. Source: Have ordered 20+ times and our food was ready on time only once.

Most of the food that we ordered was really delicious. For appetizers, we ordered veg fried momo and bhatmas sadeko. The bhatmas sadeko was ok– it is made with peanuts and is very crunchy. The fried momo was good. Hot and sour soup was really delicious and soulful. Paneer tikka masala and naan was also good. Aloo paratha was ok. The thali was really yummy.

20 mins wait means 1 hr and 20 mins wait. So be prepared to spend all your day waiting for the food. Happened to me twice already. Never coming back and dont suggest anyone either unless you want to waste your time

oh if there only negative star ratings. i used to think the place was ok, mostly b/c its byob & open late. but after my last incident few days prior, never more will our paths cross: 1. there was a roach doing his daily/hourly commute on our table. not the ledge or window or floor, but on the same table as our food. disgusting! & had no fear of approaching aka their roaches have gained audacity! & if u dont know, 1 visible roach = 20 unseen ones. 2. i asked for a to go box. she brought it. then dumped our naan on the floor. hey mistakes happen thats ok. whats not ok is completely ignoring that you should offer to provide me substitute naan for the naan u dropped on your roach infested floor. 3. also not ok is charging me for 2 orders of naan for the 1 order, which you dropped on the floor anyway! & when i placed the order, i asked«is naan or rice included» to which she replied«yes, what kind of naan do you want?» aka u shouldnt be charging me for any naan + replacing my dropped naan. instead u charge me for 2 orders & i go home w/none? great math. heres some math for u: oblivious service — 1 roach — 2 overcharges — 1 dropped order = 0 the rating you deserve. pls promptly go out of business.

When I say this is the worst I’ve had. I’m not joking. Not sure if the guys walking in and out hanging by their cars were owners, but I saw a cook go out to chill with them two or three times within my two visits… I had to go back because they forgot half my order, the woman who took my order forced me into some appetizer of bland chicken chunks with no condiments. The chicken korma was flavorless and had NO spice, when I was really looking forward to, you know… the spice I requested. The chicken is nothing but bones and after a total of seventeen bucks spent, I feel cheated. The garlic naan was the best thing they had and that was pretty much burnt. Take your business to Our Place on MacArthur. They listen, they give you condiments, nobody hangs out like they’re loitering in the front and their korma is the best. Don’t waste your time here…

Tried their veg momos — took 20 min to come, filling was almost non existent & whatever was there, was half cooked. 2 stars for the dip that momos came with — it was good.

They are open after renovation. The new tile floor is much better and the décor has improved with a separate banquet area added. The buffet is superseded by à la carte. The food taste was pretty much the same, the 3.99 bucks momo was alright but the aachar was little bitter; not sure why they are using mustard seed instead of sesame. Also, tried the chicken chowmein, it was totally ordinary… needs improvement. The lassi was really good and was reasonably priced at 1.99. A complimentary chips and salad precedes the main entrée… nothing special just to nibble on something while you wait for food. It definitely looks better than before, hope they have improved the food too.

THISRESTAURANTISNOTCLOSED, as a matter of fact I just called in an order to go for this evening 5÷13÷14. Fantastic, consistently wonderful, Indian food. We’ve been eating at this restaurant for over four years, dining in and take-out, and have never gotten bad food or a wrong order. The flavours are very good, distinctly Himalayan and Nepalese and the spices and herbs well used. Even the spicy dishes aren’t so overpowering that you can’t taste the masterful combination of spices and herbs. We’re from England and the food reminds us very much of our favourite Indian restaurants abroad.

I wish I could say my experience here was great, but I can’t. I wanted the buffet but apparently they are under new management and won’t start doing it again for a month or so. Non-buffet Indian/Asian restaurants make you order each and every thing by itself, and that sucks. Especially if you feel that both meat and veggies should be a part of your meal. So either choose a meat dish or veggi dish, or pay 10 bucks for two entrees. I picked the lamb saag in hopes of satisfying both needs. Lamb and spinach with an order of Kathmandu naan. The dish might have been good except all the lamb pieces were nothing but fat and some bone. Seriously NOMEAT. I felt every piece with my fingers since I wasn’t given a knife. I found one chunk of meat attached to a bone and managed to taste a dime-sized bite, which was actually pretty good. Anyhow, when the waiter asked how I liked it, I told him the problem and he just said«lamb is always fatty.» Uhh no it’s not. I always get lamb at Indian restaurants and never see any fat, and I don’t mind some. I love rib-eyes and usually eat most of the fat. But the whole point of meat is for protein, and you don’t get any from a jiggly bowl of fat chucks. It was fattier than the fattest duck I’ve had. Furthermore, the naan I got was supposed to be slightly sweet with coconut, cashews, and raisins, but I only saw and tasted the coconut; not sweet at all. Regardless, I will maybe try the buffet someday because there I can judge it more fairly and hopefully avoid gross things as well.

My actual rating is about a 3.5 but I’m rounding up since the flavors were good and the prices pretty reasonable. This review is for dinner, I avoid buffets like the plague. I went with a group of seven, which honestly is stretching their capability to serve a bit. The service was friendly, but very slow and everything came out one at a time, which is a little awkward in a big group. I very much enjoyed the veggie momo(dumplings) which look like chinese dumplings but definitely have more of an indo-pak kind of flavor to them. The aloo tikki chaat(?) was a great appetizer, really gooey but lots of flavors that worked well together. I ordered goat curry thali, as I am a huge fan of goat curry. The flavor wasn’t bad, but it was the fattiest goat curry I’ve ever had. I am not exaggerating, I had a huge pile of fat on my plate by the end of the meal, and only two pieces that actually had meat on them. I know goat can be fatty, and I don’t mind all the bones, but come on… I would not order this dish again. The vegetable sides and dal in the thali were decent but I’ve already forgotten most of them. My friend gave me a(non-mushroomy) bite of her lamb with mushroom and that one had a very good sweet and creamy flavor. Were it available to order sans mushroom I’d be all over it. My other friend gave me a bite of his ginger goat and that was better than the goat curry, though it is a sauceless dish and I am a saucy wench. Prices were very reasonable esp. compared to most Indian food in the metroplex which tends to be overpriced in general. Our waiter was particularly nice but I would suggest only dining with two, and probably only if you’re local. I probably wouldn’t drive here from Arlington again on my own, but if my friends had another get-together here I’d attend(but have a quick snack first so I’m not starving!)

4 stars for food, 2 for ambiance, 2 for service. Overall we enjoyed our food and were impressed with the varied menu of Indian and Nepali specialties. Servers were friendly, however very SLOW and disorganized. We were the only table(for 2) there at 5 pm for dinner with 3 servers all helping wait on us. Between the 3 of them, they forgot to bring us rice, dinner plates, water was served lukewarm with no ice. I don’t recommend going here if you are in a hurry. Overall, I would go back for the food and cross my fingers the wait staff gets their act together before our next visit.

I’m not familiar with Himalaya/Nepali food but food we ordered were tasty and in reasonable price. The first thing came to the table was a complementary plate of chips. Crispy! I ordered Chicken Biryani. It is $ 6.99 and we’re surprised that they gave us a large portion. Quite spicy but I liked it. It was flavorful because of different spices and chicken pieces were not tiny. It’s more on moist side. Not sure if the chef was doing it right but I think it tasted good. My boyfriend ordered Mutton Himalayan Thali. It is a complete plate with naan, rice, main dish, veggies and dessert. We liked one of the dishes that taste like mashed potato. Yum! The only complaint is it took us about 20 – 30 minutes to get our food on the table. Probably is because there was a big party hold in the restaurant. Maybe the kitchen cannot handle that many orders? We were not in hurry so it was fine for us. Will definitely come back and try other dishes.

A new Indian restaurant keeps popping up every week in the Dallas area. And not every one of them are good. Most of them last a few weeks and some a few years. But, with this place I am surprised that it has lasted for these 3 years or so. I went to this place when it first opened up in 2006 and the food sucked. Well. either the management changed or the chef changed. But, not willing to risk another bad experience.

I’m guessing the style of cooking favors the northern western region of the country with the Himalaya/Nepali influence. I thought I was fairly experienced with Indian food, but the dishes we tried were new to me. They had the same names as those in a typical Indian restaurant, but were somewhat different. For example, the masala had the same spices as south Indian places but was dryer without the thick creamy sauce. We came late on a Sunday night — around 9pm, There were a few groups of Indian guys, hanging out, having drinks and small plates. I didn’t recognize their language, but I always think if native speakers are regulars at a restaurant, it lends to the authenticity of the food.
