If you’re looking for a nail salon to feel comfortable in, and is within budget, look no further. Julia is by far the best and most conversational nail tech… ever. Solar pink and white turn out phenomenal and seem to last longer than average, in between fills. The truest testament to this review is after trying out different salons when living in distant cities, I ALWAYS compared the quality of work to Top Line, and left feeling disappointed. After 14 years of manis, pedis and brow waxes with Julia, Top Line will forever remain my #1 stop when I want to feel a bit more«beautiful» after leaving with a full set and polished toesies!

So I decided to try this place based on the reviews since I was staying in the area to house/dog sit for a friend. I usually go to Pure Zen in Arlington, which is awesome, but overall, if I had to, I guess I would come back out of convenience. Ever see Anjelah Johnson’s nail salon skit? This is it lol. The first thing I noticed was the oh so familiar and pungent nail polish and acetone smell. Granted, I realize that this is a nail salon, but I’ve been to one where the that smell is practically nonexistent. As soon as I walked through the door, I was greeted warmly then I was swiftly funneled to my chair, and the tech began on my pedicure then was like, «You don’t want color?» I said that I did, but didn’t have a chance to pick it out. The technician who did my nails was sweet and nice. Her English wasn’t great and even though I’m accustomed to accents I had a hard time understanding her. Wasn’t crazy about their massage chairs. They looked okay, but the one I sat in was super stutter-y and had a lot of hitches. Perhaps the motor was wearing out? Whatever it was, it kind of felt like back in the day when my little brother would constantly nudge me or kick the car seat in the back – not pleasant and my least favorite part of the experience. The tubs on the chairs also took a seemingly excessive amount of time to drain. The TV kept going out, which was kind of annoying, and when I went to pay, my tip amount was shouted across the spa. I thought that it was nice that they had regulars and greeted they by name. …other than that, it was a pretty average experience. Not horrible, but not mindblowingly awesome either.
