Fieldpoint is a central living location in the quaint New York City suburb of Irvington, New York. With less little children to accidentally run over than cross-town living community rival«Pennybridge,» Fieldpoint has attracted a more mid-range to senior age group. The community is divided by «upper» and«lower» Fieldpoint, which are split by a road which is closed off because of the instability of the rocks that line it. The road looks post-apocalyptic as it is overgrown and unkempt. A great place for crack addicts to do their business at night. But it also makes driving between the Fieldpoints a huge task for their proximity. The closed road represents the severe divide between the communities. Upper Fieldpoint boasts a gym facility, pools, recreation, and a location that borders the high school and middle school which is amazing for students. Lower Fieldpoint has a pool as well, but that is it. Although Lower Fieldpoint sits at the top of Main Street, an incredibly central living location in the town. The housing is also dramatically different. Upper Fieldpoint lives up to its name by being much bigger than Lower Fieldpoint. It is truly vast compared to the confines of its brother in arms. The houses are far larger and stand alone, compared to the connected Lower Fieldpoint houses. With great size comes great parking, and Upper Fieldpoint does not have to worry about that. This is in stark contrast to Lower Fieldpoint which is currently waging a parking war which is pitting all of its residence against each other. The streets run red with spite as people take parking spaces others feel«belong» to them and the tension is palpable. With expansiveness comes a natural relaxation; this is Upper Fieldpoint. With compactness comes tension; Lower Fieldpoint has that in excess.
