My fiancé and I have gone there twice now and were very pleased both times with the food. Excellent quality for the very reasonable prices! The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is because both times we had to wait quite a while for someone to come to the front to seat us. Our waitress the 2nd time, Carol, amazed us. Simply fantastic in all she managed! A very good diner overall!

Décor needs help. Too many styles going on, lighted marble pillars, crystal ceiling décor and palm leaf fans don’t go together. They need to pick a style a redecorate. I had the Bleu steak panini. Good flavor steak was tough. Sweet potato fries were good. Cole slaw above average, a hint of my stand and white raisins. The burger was good fries above average. Cannoli cake was fair. I don’t need to go back but if someone wanted to go there I’d be ok. Liquor available is a plus.

Had my husband’s surprise 50th birthday party in the party room in the basement; had a great time. Thank you Sam for making it so easy. The food was delicious, received a lot of compliments from the guests. Thank you Carol and all the wait staff; they were so attentive and professional. Thank you to the two bartenders as well. This is a great venue for an intimate party. The existing party lights really helped with the fun party mood. Again, thank you Ivy Stone for an Awesome party!

My husband and I enjoyed a late dinner at Ivy Stone last night. Our server Andrew was wonderful; polite, helpful and so personable. My husband asked him for a recommendation and he wasn’t disappointed, his Beef & Chicken Fajitas were delicious and the portion was huge. I opted for Vegetable Soup and the Salad Bar. The soup was very good, definitely didn’t come out of a can, and the salad bar was well stocked with a variety of salads and salad fixins’. All the veggies looked fresh and appetizing. We really enjoyed our meals and conversing with Andrew, but wait, they also have an adjacent lounge with live music Monday through Saturday evenings! This is an establishment where you can come spend your evening enjoying a terrific meal followed by entertainment and cocktails. We will be back!

the service and the organization of how things are run is terrible, but the food is higher quality than most diners, that’s why I’ve been coming back regularly. They’re still new so they have time to get organized although I get the feeling it will take a long, long time if they ever get organized at all. So I’m giving a 4 star review because of the food and I’m not removing any stars from the review due to them being disorganized, I’m being very generous because I want the owners to know they have banging food. Good luck

Ok, don’t waste your time. Poor décor, fair drinks. If you are opening a bar/restaurant pick a theme. Not ¼ bar, ¼ diner, ¼ white tile floor and then early donald trump gaudy shit. Just keep on driving to edison.

I came here with my girlfriend for breakfast one Sunday morning. We were sat in a booth which had a bench that wasn’t bolted down on my side, so when I would shift position, the whole seat would as well. My gf ordered coffee with milk. The waitress brought little cups of half & half instead of milk, but not the end of the world. Though, my gf didn’t seem too thrilled: o. I ordered a bacon omelet with home fries and toast. My gf also ordered an omelet with the same sides. We waited quite a while for our meals, and when they finally came they looked enticing. I went to eat a piece of toast and it was cold to the touch with no butter. I don’t know about you, but that is not my definition of toast. We asked the waitress for butter and she brought those individually wrapped squares of butter. Unfortunately, those were ice cold and hard so it was unusable on the already cold bread. I was a bit confused by the massive slice of orange sitting on the dish. If you’re going to bother taking the time to garnish this dish with a large piece of orange, you can at least make sure the rest of the dish is perfect. Cold, inedible toast should not be served, especially when your prices for an omelet breakfast are substantially more expensive than every diner in the area. My omelet was under-cooked and rather soupy. The bacon was extremely fatty, so overall the entire texture of the omelet was off-putting. The home fries were dry and bland. Half way through my gf’s meal, she found a hair in her food. She pointed it out the waitress and she took it into the back where they offered to make her another meal. My gf asked to have it prepared for take out, as I was finished with mine. The lone bright spot of the trip was our waitress. She was very kind, attentive and took care of the hair issue. She even deducted it from the bill. I thank her for her service. When we got home and my gf started eating the omelet, she bit into egg shells, LOL! Then, there was that orange sitting on top of and soaking into the home fries. The cherry on top of my first and last trip to Ivy Stone Diner. Oh yeah… and no toast. I guess they didn’t want it to get cold.

Fantastic new diner and lounge. Been there twice for lunch this week. Expansive menu with many multicultural offerings along with traditional diner fare. Prices very reasonable and portions are huge. Both times enough to bring home for another meal. Haven’t been there for a Happy Hour yet, but they have some great drink and food specials.

First time visit for breakfast… I had the breakfast panini and it was delicious… Was amazed at children’s portions… Chicken fingers French fries and mozzarella sticks. Will definitely come back!

Service was initially very slow, but the waitress was really nice. Girlfriend’s burger was decent. I ordered the French Dip but it came out with Swiss instead of mozzarella as stated on the menu. Let the waitress know and she took my plate back to the kitchen but came right back and said the cook insisted its supposed to have Swiss. After I told her the menu said otherwise, she walked it back and came back in less than a minute. My sandwich now had two slices of mozzarella cheese on it, but the cook must have been pretty frustrated because the cup of au jus was now spilled entirely on the plate. The fries and bread were turned into soup. Kinda of funny, but also terrible as far as service goes. There are better diners in the area.

We stopped in to check out this diner lounge that used to be a Chinese buffet and what a pleasant surprise. The food was amazing. We have returned multiple times now and haven’t had a bad dish yet. The wraps are very tasty, especially their Jersey wrap. Highly recommend. Eventually we will find time to check out the lounge and bar area.

Our server has a great personality. The food was plentiful and tasted great. The coffee and espresso was way better than most other diners I have been to, they have a nice size cake and pie case. The coffee is free if you order off the specials menu. I think for a new diner this place will grow with huge local cliental base. Another plus is they make the pancakes just the way I love– not thick and cakey. When we come back to visit Nj we will be back to this establishment.

Im a pretty harsh critic when it comes to my dining experience so I just dont get the negatives reviews on here. I have been here 5 times now — twice during the soft opening and then once for breakfast, lunch and dinner, respectively. Each time the food has been very good. During the soft opening, when staff was being trainer, the service was a little slow but since that first time, each server has gone out of their way to give us a good experience. I especially want to mention how impressed I was with the variety of choices and their condiments including basil mayo and chipotle mayo. You can add a soup for $ 1.99INCLUDING French Onion AND for 2.99 add an all you can eat salad bar! The Reo in Woodbridge(my other favorite) makes you upgrade to $ 3.95 for that. It is a diner but the food choices are a bit more elevated than the other diners around here. Good choices, different choices than other diners and so far everything we have eaten(sandwiches, breakfast, burgers, etc.) have been very good. Fries are super crispy too. The only negative(if you can call it that) is that they have a very confused identity. The décor is the most puzzling but then you add the club they have downstairs and the bar scene complete with tribute bands and karaōke and it all gets to be a bit odd. The music this past Friday was good but very loud.

My buddy and I pulled into this diner for breakfast on a Wednesday morning and found this place empty. What’s up with that? So we learned that toast is a breakfast option as is ketchup. Food was mediocre at best and the waiter was obnoxious. Oh. The homefries tasted like dishwater. Pass this place by. I’m sure there’s a McDonalds close. At least you know what to expect.

There’s alot of mix reviews but my own exprience was great I did have to wait 15min for my food but it was worth it! They serve alot of food for the price. Beats spending an hour on line at nearby josetejas. Will return with my coupon :-) The place looks very modern you will forget you still in New Jersey.
