Had a horrible experience. the people there are least customer friendly. I was praying all the time when she did my eye brows as she was in constant argument with her co-stylist about some stupid random personal topic of theirs. Gave least importance to my needs or what I wanted. The stylist screwed my hair. She did not even listen to what I wanted and cut my hair the way she wanted. She did it all in 5 mins. That was my fastest and my most stupidest haircut. I now have to wait for a few months for my hair to grow back to normalcy. This is my first and last time with the stylists here! Pathetic!!!

Even If the world is ending and Payals Salon is the last salon on earth — Never go there !! They would just reduce you’re lifespan! The most horrible experience ever in threading my eyebrows, upper lip and chin. The lady who was serving me firstly dropped wax into my eye and had the audacity to point her snotty fingers at me and say«you moved, that’s why wax fell on your eye». I ran out of the salon with whatever skin I had left on my face! Conclusion– if you hate your face skin, pls go to Payals salon, they will gladly peel it off!

Worst place for threading! I have been here three-four times trying REALLY hard to walk out of here happy, and last night was the last draw. I walked out of there looking like nothing was done. When I told the woman you left hair all over, she said she is not able to get all the hair. WHAT!!! You are in a threading salon, a professional threader and you can’t fully and properly thread my brows??? She also didn’t bother to touch the area between my brows because apparently she has a 30 second rule to get people out of her chair like all the other girls there. They spend no time with you, no questions asked, threading horrible, waxing horrible, and very unprofessional. None of the girls in there have fully satisfied my visit. Will never go back!

Smita is THEBEST! Always does a good job with waxing/threading and is super sweet. I highly recommend her.

Angry. That’s the first word which would come out your mouth when you see your wife in pain. Wait, talk to people when they enter and then relax there is no one waiting for your service after me. My wife had bumps all her face after she had threading service at the store. Avoid it. Totally!

After having a horrible eyebrow/lip waxing experience I decided to try threading. I’ve been going to this location for over a decade and they consistently do an excellent job. I always go to one woman named Aisha(spelling?). She makes my eyebrows even and gives them a natural shape which is why I only go to her. I also get my upper lip done and a little bit of my chin for a total cost of $ 7 !!! You really can’t beat the prices here. There is another Payal up in Parsippany and they charge almost 3 times as much! RIDICULOUS especially since I’m consistent with grooming upkeep and would get threaded, on average, once every 2 weeks. ITADDSUP! If it’s packed, the wait is still not too long since there are about 4 – 5 people working there on a daily basis. There’s a credit card fee of 55 cents so I recommend bringing cash.(UNLESSYOUBALLERLIKETHAT) LOL! Small private parking lot in the back with a narrow entrance and left blind side, so enter with caution because you might crash head on with someone leaving.

Not the cleanest place or the politest. But they get the job done and do it well. I mostly get waxing and threading done and no complaints on that front. They are also super fast and efficient and always have someone available to take you in. Very very affordable and that does not hurt either :)!

Worst & most dirty salon ever seen in my life even compare to India.Receptionist is rude & in salon hair was fallen on ground everywhere. I had ordered for Mehndi but despite 3 ladies tried to do Mehndi on my hands It was worst design .Even I can do better Mehndi then those 3 ladies. Mehndi color came out very orangy. I would never recommend this place. SAVE your money for better service & clean place. They should live as per USA standard.

I’ve been here many times over the past decade. Their threading services are fine, the service is okay, nothing spectacular. My parents like getting their hair cut here too, mostly because the prices are fairly cheap. I think the best thing about this salon is that it’s in the same mini-mall as an Indian grocery store and South Indian restaurant. So you can get a bunch of errands done at this one place.

I’ve been coming here for 10 years and haven’t left unhappy since! I used to be loyal to one of the threaders until she passed away(sorry, downer! :() so I had to force myself to try someone new. She didn’t disappoint, as with the other two threaders I’ve had. Love this place. No frills. You walk in, they stare, you point at your eyebrows and if one of the ladies is free she automatically takes you and off she goes! Price wise it is SUPER inexpensive. For eyebrows+upper lip your total cost comes out to $ 6-$ 7 unlike the mall which … I don’t even know how much they charge cause I know it’d be more expensive.

WOWFINALLY a salon w/reliable staff. my personal favorite is Girishama she works there Mon-Fri and NEVER lets me down. She gives me exactly what I ask for whether it may be a clean up or thick arch she’s got it down to a science. My eyebrows always come out gorgeous. Afterwards she does a mini massage in the brow area it’s so relaxing. I have friends who travel almost an hr to see her faithfully every two weeks.

Never again. First of all they charge you an extra fee for using a credit card, which is annoying. Also, they really don’t listen to what you ask for and kinda just do what they want to do. I understand that this isn’t the fanciest of places but they should at least have some sort of consideration and not just give everyone the same haircut. Also, they almost burned my scalp when they were blowdrying my hair, it was so painful. Never again.

They’re clean, quick and attentive. I don’t like it when people thread my eyebrows into oblivion and I realize I only have 1 lonely hair remaining. The ladies here really listen to you(if you’re specific) and do exactly what you want. Prices are decent and although they have a limit for using credit card if you get the whole shebang(waxing and threading) you’ll reach that limit no worries. It’s very close to the Busch and Livingston campuses(so for all you kiddies out there getting ready for date nights and formals, this place is very convenient). Bottomline: they are clean and get the job done.

For those unfamiliar with the Iselin area, this is NOT a glam salon. It’s an in-and-out service pit. Go in, say what you need, wait patiently until you are summoned, get your unwanted hair accurately ripped out of their pores, pay, and go feeling like a warrior. Ghetto and close to home – as well as my heart. Won’t go anywhere else to thread my eyebrows. Thank you ladies, I’ll be back next week.
