The ice cream shop looks like a taco stand, period. But the items coming out of this misleading establishment tantalizes any taste bud. On a hot summer day such as today, a double scoop in a waffle cone is the perfect remedy. I recommend the Cherry Garcia.

I love Ben & Jerry’s and you’ll always find a pint or two in my freezer. This spot is all about the location. Being right across the street from the beach at IOP couldn’t be a better spot. It’s a walk up window and it’s got a tiny footprint. The unfortunate side of this is that they aren’t as full service as other locations I’ve been to. They just do scoops of ice cream without the options for shakes or chillows etc… I wish they had more flavors(ahem Pistachio Pistachio) but there’s plenty to choose from and I think they rotate out flavors from time to time. Better than any other ice cream options near by.

I love Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. If you’re a fan, you’ll like this place. I like to come back here because they serve varieties that I cannot buy at the grocery store. I wish the shop was open year round, but I understand completely why they aren’t. As a local, I always look forward to Ocean Blvd. coming to life in the spring. Ben & Jerry’s is one of the bright spots for me.

This Ben and Jerry’s location is in a wonderful spot. It is the perfect spot to walk up from the beach and get a cool treat as the sun is going down. There is a pretty good selection of flavors, and the menu lists the ones that they offer that you can not find in the store. The wait staff were friendly and worked well as a team. Loved the tip jar that stated that tips were going for tuition and textbooks. Good to see the youth working hard for their education. I had the butter pecan tonight, which is not what I normally get, and it was a perfect end to an evening of dinner and walking on the beach here in South Carolina.

I am frequently wondering what happened to all those old fotomat booths that used to exist in seemingly every parking lot across the country. Okay, I don’t really wonder about it that often at all, really, what with the death of old-style film and all. But I have thought about it once or twice. If I was in Seattle, I would know that most of them have turned into coffeehouses. But since there isn’t that much coffee consumed, well, much of anywhere else on the planet. Near the beach, they have turned such a little kiosk — in fact, it’s probably a little larger — into a Ben & Jerry’s. Staffed by a couple of cheerful workers, they will happily give you a sampling(or three) of the flavors they have available, and when you are ready, they will fill up your cone with whatever choice you make, which you can then eat as you stroll across the street to said beach. One word of warning: It probably won’t make it all the way there. Get two.

Really, who could say anything bad about ben & jerrys? The service was fast and friendly. They did have some flavors that stated they were only available at the stand, whatever that meant… maybe there was some place larger we didn’t know about but I thought all locations would have butter peacan and cream and cookies… Oh, Somebody asked for chocolate butter peacan in front of us… I would be thirsty for days with that… I didn’t see it listed, maybe she was a regular… flavor like that should be listed only at the stand…
