My girlfriend and I stopped and ate here today, my pasta was fabulous. Her carnitas was the bomb. Great service. No complaints

My son was married at the Delta Diamond Ranch last Sunday and Rogelio’s was a perfect selection for nearby housing! There is basically nothing in this town, so Rogelio’s really stands out! Small town America! We enjoyed chatting with the locals on Saturday afternoon! Diane, the owner, was so accommodating! We had lots of back and forth making room arrangements for my husband and I and one of my son’s and his family. The pool was great for my Granddaughter! The rooms are a bit dated, but very large, clean, and comfortable! The food is good and a meal comes with your room! Having the bar onsite was fun too, as several of us from the wedding gathered there for a wonderful end to a great day!

Our family loves Rogelio’s! Enchiladas are my 1st choice. My kids love the pasta dishes. We also love the Chinese dishes. The waiter and waitress are always nice and very friendly. This is our favorite restaurant when we boat up here!

The Delta area is great but the restaurant choices are very limited. However when you enter the doors of Rogello it’s a step back in time. The booths are spacious, the service is over the top. The same staff has been working there as long as I can remember, and the drinks are affordable. Always clean and a very friendly atmosphere. Rogellos is the only place that I know of where you get Chinese, Mexican, Italian and hamburgers for the picky eating kids. We always enjoy our dinner at Rogelio’s.

We had takeout tonight. This was our first visit. I ordered carnitas fried rice, carnitas chow mien, asparagus beef and a bean & cheese burrito. Everything was wonderful. The asparagus beef was the best I’ve ever had. The carnitas dishes were excellent as in other reviews. The bean & cheese burrito was very good. Thought I should get something Mexican at this restaurant. They have two extensive menus for both Mexican & Chinese dishes. The women who waited on me sat me at a table and inquired as to if I wanted something to drink while I waited. This restaurant is a keeper and I’m sure we’ll be back when we’re in the area.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant on the delta road. I always get carnitas fried rice, which isn’t on the menu. It’s delicious!

Hidden gem in the town of Isleton. Food was superb. Best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. The chips were fresh, crispy and light. The Chili Colorado was made with a prime cut of meat and spiced to perfection. The flour tortillas tasted home made.(I think they were but forgot to ask). The shredded beef in the enchilada and burrito was tender and flavorful. The owner served us and treated us with old school hospitality, even heating our coffee mugs before pouring the coffee! Well worth the drive to visit this fabulous place. Isleton needs our support and this place is well deserving.

Great Chinese food prepared by Chinese Chef. Great Mexican foo prepared by a Mexican Chef who also repaired American food. Come hungry, leave contentedly full. Good flavors in any dish. This is a must come back. Clean, please tell staff, good good food. Second time here. Now we have had Chinese, Mexican, and American dishes. All have been cooked to order, staff and owners attentive. They have ten rooms that rent for $ 99 per night which includes two dinner entrees. Too good to pass up. Closed Monday-Tuesday open at 4pm Wednesday Thursday and early on weekends.

My husband and I stayed the night on August 23. We were pleasantly surprised at finding such a lovely, pleasant room. It was larger than I expected and nicely furnished. An exceptional value as the room came with dinner. There was also a swimming pool and spa as well as lounge and exercise equipment.

Just passing through so we Unilocaled and found Rogelio’s. Carnitas chow mein where have you been all my life! Great food, super nice folks and by all accounts a great place(and deal) to spend the night. $ 109 for a King room + one meal included? Did I hear that right? We’ll definitely be back…

Holy blue-collar fusion, Batman! When you think of someone mixing two types of cuisines, you think you’re going to be in a Michelin-starred establishment that’s creating new frontiers of flavor, or someone like Guy Fieri who’s mashing two«things» from different countries together in the hopes that nobody can see behind the curtain. And then there’s Rogelio’s, which is a Mexican restaurant. AND it’s a Chinese restaurant. AND their crowning achievement, which is carnitas chow mein. Yeah, it sounds incongruous for about thirty seconds, and then your brain«gets it» and you’re looking for an IV drip of the stuff. Because it’s an incredible dish. This is «Americanized» Mexican and«Americanized» Chinese in almost every sense of the word, so the«fusion» you’re getting is way, way removed from authentic. But who cares? The chow mein is packed with vegetables, the noodles are perfectly cooked, the carnitas deliver that awesome unctous umami when combined with everything else… and it’s for… what…$ 10? Less than that? Who cares? It’s enough food for two hungry people. Add some egg rolls, plus the complimentary chips and salsa… and you have this great unique experience that you can only get in Isleton, California. It’s what makes the Delta a fun place to visit. You would never have guessed that a working-class gem like this exists.

We have eaten Chile Relleno’s in almost all 50 States, These are definitely #1! You have to try these. Order the meal with two and plan on taking one home.

I have been dining at this place for the majority of my life(28+years), this has always been and always will be one of my all time favorite places to dine. I know the sound of a place that serves both Mexican and Chinese can seem odd to the majority of the people but this place definitely pulls it off. I have traveled the country and have ate at every type of restaurant imaginable and at the end of the day this place has remained my favorite. As for the food, I can only speak on the Mexican side of the menu specifically the Rogelios special burritos(which are the largest burrito I have ever seen and should be able to provide at least two or three meals) are my all time favorite along with their guacamole.

I have to admit, when my husband said we were going to eat in a place that served Mexican AND Chinese food, in ISLETON, I was… prepared to be disappointed. I wasn’t! Very pleasantly so. The décor is a hoot and it’s not gourmet, but it was delicious, the price was right, and there was a lot of it. I ate the carnitas chow mein(how’s that for fusion cuisine?) and you’ve gotta know, the meat-to-noodles ratio was the very best I’ve ever eaten. Classy moves: Hot plates, as it was chilly today, and hot chips and salsa, too. My son had the shrimp chow mein and I think there were ten fat ones in there, and my husband had the Chinese food sampler plate, and the egg roll was homemade and had more carnitas stuffed in there. I brought enough of my dish home for two more servings, too. The woman who served us was incredibly nice. We usually go to Jiusty’s when we’re out this direction(twice a year for the Six Hands releases), but now we’re going to fight over whether we go here or there, ’cause Rogelios? Is damn fine eating.

I’ve eaten here several times, and am always impressed with the food and service. Last week I had the chili verde; the food and plate where hot, and it tasted amazing! My mom had a Chinese sampler plate. She’s very picky, and she liked everything! I can’t see enough about this place! If you are in the area, give it a try.

I wish there was something between Meh and A — OK. The dude, Rogelio, was really nice and I like the free entrée per person per night in one of his rooms. The room was surprisingly spacious and well-appointed considering my rather dismal expectations due to their relative isolation.(Isleton is smack dab in the middle of nowhere.) The regular-sized flat screen was affixed to the wall; remote control waiting on the bed. There was a small table for two near the window, a dorm-sized fridge, and nice, large dresser with more than enough space for a couple’s clothing. Again on the theme — a spacious closet, nice vanity area with lighting and behind a privacy door from the vanity, the toidy and shower. The room smelled fresh and was obviously recently cleaned. The A/C was awesome, and the bed wasn’t too firm. Here is where my glowing review takes a turn. The food was blasé although they did have a big selection of Mexican and Chinese fare. Maybe SOMEthing was good. It just wasn’t anything we ordered. I LOVED that they had a pool and a jacuzzi — however, there was nameless crap floating in the hot tub. Also, rude lady alert. I don’t know if she was Mrs Rogelio or a manager, but she seemed miffed that we asked them to turn on the hot tub — and then really miffed when my dude said it wasn’t hot enough. This exchange may have been heated up due to a weird problem my dude encountered. You have to go through the restaurant, we discovered, to access the pool /hot tub area… This is bizarre by any measure. Some people may shrug at this oddity: Others may get snarky. Well, do you go dressed for the restaurant to enter the pool? Through the restaurant in your suit? What about shoes? My companion wasn’t in the mood to approach these issues with great consideration of local mores — because the weird entry insulted his rather delicate sensibilities — this general mood was flambeaued by the combative personality of the woman, thus an unhappy relationship developed with the woman herein known as «Rudette.» Rudette took immediate offense to my dude’s personal approach to entering the pool area, and it got worse from there. ;) I’m sorry I couldn’t film it for you, but I’m working on a screenplay. Suffice it to say, Rudette is on the premises and is waiting for a provocation. You’ll likely never find yourself in Isleton. I mean, why would you? If you do, Rogelio’s rooms are pretty cool. Food is eh. Rudette is notorious. ;)

Been wanting to dine at Rogelio’s for quite some time. Glad we finally got the chance. If you can’t decide on their Mexican fare you have a choice of Chinese as well. We went with their steak fajitas for the hubby and I got the chicken tostada. Kid had the flautas. Decent portions. They serve you salsa and chips whilst waiting for your food. Additional .99 cents for more chips. Salsa was good but not chunky. Hubby mentioned that the steak for his fajitas tasted like it would have been also used for something else. Had a barbecue taste to it. None the less he ate it. He said he wouldn’t order that again but would try something different. I really enjoyed my tostada. Good sized shredded chicken pieces with beans and shredded lettuce and tomatoes on a freshly made tostada. We also got the flautas, 4 freshly made chicken flautas with guacamole and sour cream. They have Blue Moon, woo hoo! Service was fast, friendly and efficient. Clean restrooms. Quite atmosphere… need some soft music or something to listen to.

HEAVENLY A/C All the direct sunlight was finally starting to get to me after an hour of walking around the Isleton Cajun Festival. We had seen a few bars and decided to stop at this one because of the fun stage out front with Elvis performing and a costumed-pirate dancing. Good decision! The A/C was running! We found one available seat at the packed bar and sat down. Another one opened up a little while later and we enjoyed a couple of cans of Coors Light while we relaxed. A couple seats away from us a couple bikers sat down and ordered some shots. The bartender poured them into plastic cups and one of the guys joked«can’t you hook us up a little?» We were very surprised to see what followed. The owner’s daughter walked over and took the shots and grabbed two shot glasses. She poured the shot into the shot glass and showed that there was a little left in the plastic cup. «Should I pour this back? Should I fire my bartender?» Whoa!!! It was just a joke — he wasn’t being mean; but she was not being nice. She stated that her b’tender HAD hooked them up and asked the men if they still wanted their shot. They said yes. I probably would have just left if I were them. We didn’t stay long after that. Rude! We did stay long enough to hear the guys ask the bartender if she wanted to earn some bead. :) She declined.
