I have been using Racine for my waxing needs for years, Rosie is the best! My old girl left the salon I used to go to so I decided to give them a try! I saw Christie/Christy? for a cut and color. The cut was perfect! The color wasn’t exactly what I had expected, so they fit me in the very next day and now it’s exactly what I had hoped for! Everyone is so nice here and they do great work! Definitely use them!

Found this place through Groupon, but I will definitely be going back. Friendly service and clean salon. If you’re going for waxing, Rosie is the best.

Best salon ever. The booking process is professional and accommodating. The stylists are outstanding. I am so glad I found this salon!

So went in to get hair colored with highlights. Jamie as always does a fabulous job. What I didn’t like was that I had to have someone else do the rollers and smooth out my hair. She was really nice and I enjoyed conversating with her. As well as Kayla, very sweet and sociable. But. If I make an appt I’d like to stick to that one person, however it may have been my fault because when I made my appt I couldn’t say what I wanted to say the«right» way and said that my hair I felt was half assed. Not sure if maybe that was the reason I was handed off to someone else to «finish» my hair and it even cost me more money because I felt like I should of gotten the rollers and the«blow out» discounted if not free because my hair the previous times when I went to get it done did not stay nicely at all and had to put it up or redo it myself which I don’t think is fair after the amount that I spend. I tried the rollers this time, however my hair still didn’t really turn out the way I wanted to, unless I’m being picky but if I’m going to spend $ 230 I would want for my hair to be how I want it And never the less not throw it up or redo it myself. Disappointed but my hair is hard to deal with and it’s a lot of hair but I also feel not too much attention is payed to the ends which plays a lot in the styling of the hair as well and maintaining the style. I’m going to try to push it to every 4 – 5 months if I can and just get the coloring done. I’ll prob start drying it and straightening it myself or go elsewhere for just that. I was there for 4.5 hours and felt at some point uncomfortable since I saw someone walk up to the stylist and probably was like… Why is she still here? I don’t know but either way I’m going to just stick to the coloring here and walk out with a wet head, that way I don’t spend the extra 40 – 50 bucks. Seems only I can tame my hair.

After reading some of these reviews I am really confused. In the 13 or so years I have been going to Racine I have sent over 15 friends/family members and they are all hooked. My best friend accidentally died her hair orange 2 days before her wedding and Racine fixed it. Specifically Dana. Really. Ask for Dana. You won’t be sorry. She is so knowledgeable and really thoughtful about her cuts and is a color genius. Like brilliant. Honestly though, everyone is great. The owners are about as fabulous as fabulous gets and they truly care about their clientele. They provide free services to people battling cancer every Monday. I mean, come on. These girls are all a class act. The service and care you receive at Racine is unmatched. I travel 4+ hours round trip from Manhattan because there is nowhere quite as good, not even in NYC. Thank you Racine! We love you!

Ok, so I almost never write reviews for restaurants or beauty salons but, the experience I had at Racine’s with Rosie was one worth writing about. Not only do I respect this salon for the non for profit services it provides to those undergoing chemotherapy treatments, but the customer service and professionalism of its staff exceeded my expectations. Rosie’s wax was also awesome, and I never thought I would be able to use that word to describe a Brazilian wax. She was knowledgeable, personable and most importantly — her technique and skill made the waxing quick and(almost) painless!

They must of read this. Cause they open up all the windows and sorts when I returned for my appointment.

It certainly my pleasure to recommend Racine’s! I will go to no other salon to have a manicure, pedicure, waxing and my hair highlighted and cut. Every member of the staff is so friendly and will do whatever to accommodate their clients. Whenever I call to make an appointment, the receptionists do whatever they can to accommodatee the time that is convenient to me. Maggie has always done by pedicures and she is a true professional! She takes her time and transforms my tired, hurting feet to beautiful, smooth, soft any happy feet. Chantele has always done my manicures and I have always been proud of the way my hands look — I always get compliments. Kristina and Lexi take good care of my hair. Racine’s is a class act of a salon and I am very proud to be associated with them. How nice to be associated with such a wonderful group of young women, Cynthia and Rachel who give of themselves 100 percent of the time to their community and supporting those who are going through cancer treatments. You are ALL to be applauded. Not enough parking??? Seems so unimportant when you think of everything else they do.

It’s very nice to see that this salon does great things for cancer patients. However, 12 years ago when my mom was dying of breast cancer, they were not accommodating to her in her last few weeks of life.

Like another person said, worst salon. 1. Let’s start with the nails. I had a French manicure and pedicured done. You’d think that for the price that they would at least take off all your nail polish, but no. The girl failed to remove all of my previous nail polish and it was seen through my french maincure– did not look nice at all. Secondly, the whites on the french were not straight. For that kind of price, it should be straight. It looked like an amature did them. Then there were the cuticles. She pushed them back and some how made them look even worse than they did before!!! That was just the manicure. The pedicure… hmm…you’d think that she would at least file your big toe nail straight… nope! Did not even have straight nails. I do a better job, if I would have known that they would look like that– I would have just done them myself. 2. The hair. I asked for a flowy look. Nope. It looked«nice» for about five seconds whatever she did. Then I got tired of it and wished she had just did as I asked. Needless to say, my hair looked like a disaster after an hour leaving the salon. No one liked what they did with their hair that day… they all seemed to just do what they want no matter what you say(curls for everyone apparently!). I have nice hair… but some how they managed a way to make it look not so nice at all. This was perhaps the most upsetting… it’s one thing to have ugly nails… but your hair… you cannot really hide your hair in a picture. I tried fixing it myself, but with that amount of hair spray, there was not much I could do to save it. 3. The makeup. Half the people who had their makeup done wound up washing off their face and putting on makeup ourselves. It took FOREVER to do makeup. The eyeshadow was not the color I asked for… after she spent like 20 minutes on a «custom blend.» She fixed the eyes eventually. And the lipstick– umm… smearing colored lip gloss on me is not what I asked for, but at that point I just wanted to be done!!! I have no idea why I paid so much money to have makeup done that I could have done better myself in a fraction of the time. The chair was uncomfortable to sit in for that long a period… my neck and back hurt after! I would not go back even if it was free!!!

Worst hair salon I’ve ever been too! When I arrived I asked to have my hair colored, Kristina said that she didn’t have time but that I could do ombré with my hair, not really having a choice because I wanted to get my hair done for a wedding I said ok, in the process she must have spilled hair dye on my lap or the apron and needless to say after when the apron was removed she didn’t say anything about how she ruined my dress pants. I also hated the ombré hairstyle and she ruined my hair by doing it. Then I was told she didn’t have enough time to cut my hair either and she also didn’t even blow dry it! Here pay 150 for a hairstyle you hate and then we’ll ruin your dress pants and your hair while we’re at it.
