There aren’t many sushi choices in Issaquah, so when I heard about this place, I was excited. Their motto on their window is something along the lines of sushi at ordinary prices and they are called«Sushi To Go», so I figured they’d have quick take out service and cheap prices. I was so wrong. I called in my order about 20 minutes before I wanted it and then I went in to pick it up. They hadn’t even started making it yet, and considering only one table was filled, there wasn’t an excuse for this. I really wanted this sushi however, and they did tell me it would only take five minutes so I sat and I waited for about half an hour before it was ready. Thinking this was just a fluke, I ordered by phone again a few weeks later. The exact same thing happened. They should rename this place«Sushi Too Slow» because even if I want sushi, I’m not going to go here. What good is a take out order if you have to wait half an hour — especially during your lunch break. Also, what are these ordinary prices they speak of? $ 6 for a handroll is far from a reasonable price and the fact that they keep raising them is crazy. And $ 3 for miso? wtf. Also, while waiting, I got to see the secret of their edamame — it’s the frozen kind from Costco, so yes, they just heat it up in the microwave and then expect you to pay $ 5. The sushi may be decent here, but the long wait and high prices are not. Count me out.

We were the only ones in the joint, and it took over 45 minutes to get our order! The chef forgot about the miso soup altogether until I went up and asked again for it. the rolls were boring and lacked flavor. Presentation was awful too. Needless to say, I know why we were the only ones there.
