Nice little community park. Less activities at winter time, but still a nice place to take a walk and enjoy some fresh air. A big flock of Canada goose took over the baseball field for rest overnight. It’s quite nice to see the nature wildlife live along with us in harmony. Meanwhile, watch out for their waste on the trail. At early morning when the sun rises, the frost on the grass field and trees starts to melt. The view is simply beautiful. The water on the grass started to steam up at the cold weather, creating light fogs raising up to the sky. The frost on the tree turned into water and dripping down liking raining, which is quite interesting scene under blue sky. The Tibbetts creek passed through the park. It’s a route that the salmon takes to and back from the ocean. Hard to believe such a small stream ends into the ocean. At Sat morning, there is almost nobody at the park. So just take a walk, breath some fresh air, enjoy some quiet time from busy daily life.

It’s an ok park and has a lot if ball fields. That said Issaquah is ridiculous for not allowing dogs in their parks. What exactly is the issue with having a dog sitting on the concrete watching a baseball game with me?

Considering the location, it’s disappointing how inferior the maintenance of this park is compared to many others I’ve been on. This review is about the baseball fields, in particular. There is a major drainage problem if rain occurs. The grass remains damp for several days. The infield gets groomed if someone reserves the field for a game, which doesn’t turn out too bad. The dirt used in the infield lacks traction and does not have a true baseball feel to it. My favorite is a PenMet Park in Pierce County. Comparing the two, their maintenance crews are around every day making the entire park look nice down there. Even after a small storm, the fields look great. I’m not expert when it comes to landscaping, but it seems to me like whoever is in charge of the facilities at Tibbets is lacking the ability to make this park look exquisite. Maybe there’s a lack of park funding between the two areas. Whatever the case may be, I give this place a 3 star rating.

Cool softball park and there is also a great playground for the youngsters in your clan.
