This is the coolest, most awesome, and spectacular fireworks display that I’ve seen. We’ve gone 2 years in a row to this show and neither disappointed. There is live music before they start launching the fireworks, and when it gets dark enough they have music that goes with the fireworks display.
We walk here from a friends house, otherwise parking seems like it can be a mess. There is something like 33 000 people here, so make sure you keep your friends/​family in sight.
There is all kinds of grass seating and you can bring your cooler filled with your favorite beverage.

Itasca, IL
By far the best fireworks show around the area. It feels like they’re launching the fireworks right on top of you. The duration of the show and finale are top notch. They also have live bands and food vendors.
Pretty darn good for a town with a population less than 9,000 people.

Holy Smokes this is awesome!
The fireworks are HUGE! So big you feel like you’re actually sucked into the sky. This has gotta be the biggest show in the whole state of Illinois. I was there on the 4th and they announced there was over 30,000 people there.
The show is amazing, well worth the $ 20 parking fee. Well worth the early 3 hour arrival, well worth the crowd..

Oak Brook, IL
This is easily probably the best firework show in DuPage County. The show is long, and the finale is amazing to watch. Went to the Oak Brook show the night before and the only way to describe that show is pathetic compared to the Itasca one, and I live in Oak Brook! If you time it right, you can stop on Thondale to watch the show and immediately leave to avoid the traffic that is leaving Hamilton Lakes.
