Very good calzones and cheese sticks! From someone from who is spoiled by Chicago pizza, this was a decent alternative. I was pleasantly surprised. The sausage could have tasted better but everything else was great.

I ordered a 20oz Sprite and they gave me this very sketchy half drank, open Canada Dry… very odd. But other than that the food was great and delivered on time!

Terrible. 45 minutes in and I called them to check up on an order. Guy picks up and I ask what the status was…“it’s on it’s way” with the worst attitude and hangs up on me. He didn’t even ask for my name or apologize. 20 min later and still no food. At least the driver was nice about it.

They’re a little stingy on the marinara when it comes to their calzones, which I feel kind of ruined it for me and now I can see why they offer marinara on the side(for an additional charge), that’s a bit stingy if you ask me(especially for a place that specializes in stuff covered and filled with marinara). I like to order specific fillings that aren’t overly powerful in flavor since marinara in and of itself is flavorful so in the end it was a bit on the bland side.

It is what it is. Dive-y little back-alley shack that serves up yummy, endlessly greasy calzones!

Delicious hand made calzones! A bit divey and located in a shady alley way, but it was delicious! I had the BBQ Chicken Calzone. Awesome.

These are some of the best Calzones ever. The calzones are always a good size, enough for one person. They always fill them pretty decently with your choices. I love Wednesday as they have their 2 for $ 10 calzones(regular) which is a darn good deal! I usually always get tater tots in my calzones as they are the bomb! I’ve tried their chicken bacon ranch, buffalo chicken and breakfast calzones and would order all of them again! Their delivery is usually between 30 – 45 minutes which isn’t bad at all! Overall this is my go to calzone place and for late night snacks as they are open wicked late!

Fast delivery. Been going here more than a decade, and have never been disappointed. Had the Buffalo Zone– one of my favorites! Love these guys!

This was ok. It’s super greasy drunk food. Service was meg at best, and they didn’t get the order completely right. Didn’t ask them to fix it, as it was like 0300 and just didn’t feel like it. Would go back, just need to ensure that expectations are set properly.

This place is a joke. They claim to use a mozzarella, ricotta, and Parmesan mix but what I got was a solidified, barely warm glob of what tasted like cheap Polly o cheese. The sauce is equally bad, think Burger King marinara sauce. In other words, not marinara sauce. The Caesar salad was the most passable thing we tried. Lettuce and croutons were fine(hard to mess that up) but the chicken was rubbery. Don’t waste your time and money.

Meh… I guess this is a good place if your hammered after drinking all night because they are open till 3 am. I mean it sufficed for me cause my hotel was a 2 min walk. Quality just isn’t there with the ingredients but the crust was decent. Unless everything else is closed I would go elsewhere.

I love cheap pizza and Italian food, but this place fails because it can’t even do the basics well. The dough was tasteless and overcooked, the cheese was tasteless and rubbery, the sauce tasted like the super cheap stuff from the can, worse than Wegman’s brand. I was looking forward to the garlic bread(because how can that be bad?) but actually the dough was so tough and overcooked, and the seasoning so faint it was hardly worth eating. I heard this was a bit of a junky place so I waited to try it until I was hungry. That was a mistake because in addition to being boring, flavorless and costing 4 times as much as a microwave meal that would have been twice as good, it took a full hour for delivery, on a Sunday around 8. Don’t bother! It is not cheap enough considering how bad everything tastes.

Cheap, amazing food. Some of the best calzones you’ll ever eat. I use to eat this stuff weekly when I was in college 15 years ago. Just came back into town recently and ate DP Dough with my girlfriend, and it was as good as ever.

I can’t remember if I’ve ever been in this location, but I’ve definitely ordered from here. A true college goal was to order every kind of DP Dough. Never reached that goal though as I usually forgot and went with the usual. The Buffer and Hawaiian were favorites though. Truly the best meal on a Friday/Saturday late night but just doesn’t taste the same the next day. A must try if you’re ever in Cortland or Ithaca for Cortaca,(Go Cortland!).

This was a must-do at my 10-year college reunion and D.P. Dough is as good as I remember. Reenacting our college practice, we called to order in the wee morning hours after drinking away the night in the Arts Quad. The girl on the phone advised me to put some barbecue sauce into my Construction Zone(steak, mushroom, cheese!) and I did so, however haphazardly instructing her to pour as much as possible due to inebriation. Despite the gallon of BBQ sauce injected into my calzone, it was still delicious. The delivery guy and I spent a bit of time debating the best pickup spot for Balch Hall. Apparently he thought it was by the dumpsters while I assumed out front. Next time, listen to the driver.

D.P. Dough was perhaps the place my guy had been looking forward to revisiting the most. He’s an Ithaca College alumnus and hadn’t been back to the area in nearly 10 years until last Monday. No-frills place complete with a sketchy parking lot and filthy bathroom. I counted ~40 calzone varieties on the wall menu as well as a few other items. My pesto ‘zone was disappointing and contained loads of gooey greasy mozzarella, really small pieces of diced tomato, and barely discernible pesto. Where was the pesto?! My boyfriend had warned me in advance that the nostalgic aspect of D.P. Dough is likely the reason he remembered the calzones so fondly. Delivery until 4AM on Fridays(Saturday mornings) and Saturdays(Sunday mornings) and open pretty damn late every other night as well. Hit up D.P. Dough if you’re… …a local college student with a late-night fatty food craving after the bars. …a lover of inexpensive calzones. …on a trip down Memory Lane like my boyfriend. If you don’t fall into one of the above categories you may find yourself disappointed and dissatisfied after consuming the calories and saturated fat associated with one of these monster calzones.

They make deliveries later than most restaurants in town(up until 2 or 3AM), which is nice for a college town. Definitely go for their calzones. They’re huge, delicious and not greasy. Get delivery rather than going in the place too. The staff are a bit sketchy…

Tucked in a potentially sketch corner off of Green St near the Commons, you wouldn’t think much of this take out calzone joint until you realize its almost 3am and nothing else is really open. However, they make a huge variety of calzones and are open late each day, perfect for the drunk and starving college crowd. Large selection of calzones that vary from American style to the more traditional Italian stuff. Take a look on their website for the entire menu, most pack a bunch of artery clogging ingredients but if you’re eating pizza to begin with, that’s already a given. They also offer wings, chicken tenders, and breadsticks. My «Oh Zone» calzone was similar to that of a Philly cheese steak but with mozzarella cheese used instead, actually more akin to a Stromboli in terms of ingredients, but it was fresh out of the oven and pretty tasty, although the marinara sauce included could be a bit overwhelming. For around $ 7 total a pop, this place is definitely on my to try again places especially since their open late and have plenty of variety. There’s only two small tables inside and one outside for seating so don’t plan on sticking around. On a random note, when I walked in the other night there was already a «Yelp Loves Us» sticker on their window although on Unilocal there’s a grand total of only six reviews at the time I’m writing this. Unilocal’s been skimping out on their criteria eh?
