Just went down to gorges to try out one of their supposedly delicious burritos – I’ve enjoyed the tacos there in the past, and was excited to try a burrito. For $ 8, I was literally handed a tortilla full of rice, beans, and nothing else. The items that were supposed to be in the burrito were such a small representation that I couldn’t even taste them. The two gentlemen behind the counter seemed«to cool for school», and I had a terrible experience in lui of this all.

I LOVETHISPLACE and they know it. When you show up thrice a week, people notice. The burrito bowls are outstanding and my favorite thing on the menu is the K tacos. Cilantro and peanuts? Weird but so incredibly tasty. And plus, the guys behind the counter are kick ass and super nice. Dont leave without trying the ginger lemonade!

This is a fantastic place for tacos in Ithaca. The food is good(fresh ingredients) and the service is fast. The prices are very reasonable. This is nothing fancy, but it’s good food at a fair price. Lots of options on the menu, but I really like the«Option F» tacos with green onions, cilantro, and salsa verde. Very satisfying food! Definitely check this place out when you’re on the commons. I would add a photo, but it would be of an empty dish because I already ate them all…

I’m sad to say the gorgers taco stand does not have my seal of approval. I love the sandwiches the bread is amazing but the taco shack has fallen short time after time. I don’t usually write reviews but I felt ill after eating ½ a taco with the queso on it. The staff was nice enough to offer me a different taco but I had to decline. It seems that the taco shack is a outlet for day old leftovers for the unsuspecting drunks and not a place for a decent late night snack. What a shame, the gorgers subs are so good… Wish the tacos as good…

Exactly what I wanted. Well priced and delicious, why are awesome little places like this so hard to find? Shout out to my sister Maddie for bringing me here, I’ll be back next time I’m in town for sure.

I like the pineapple chipotle taco with pulled pork. Gorgers taco shack is fast and convenient especially when it’s night time and I’m looking for a nice tasty and inexpensive snack. However: 2.70 taco is not LA prices. And please, for the love of god, Tacos do not belong on limp flour tortillas. They should come on a nice warm corn tortilla. This does not take a genius!

Creative and delicious cuisine! The blueberry chipotle burrito was A+. Plus the owner is a really chill dude who’s fun to talk to while he makes your food.

I am in love with this Gorges Taco Shack! The dishes are an interesting and exciting fusion of mexican and non-typical flavors all created by the owner himself. I ordered a mexican-thai fusion with a peanut sauce and ginger. Not what what you think of when you think tacos, but so delicious! They are very accommodating for vegetarian, vegans, gluten free or general switching up and swapping of menu items. These are very creative dishes! I was super impressed with the flavors and freshness. Not to mention the owner is super friendly and awesome! He likes to talk to customer as he prepares dishes. I plan to make this place part of my life now. I need this food in my life!

Really good, tasty food. Wayyy to much food in the nachos for one person, I definitely suggest sharing. Bummer how they don’t have to go containers. Otherwise, very good food. Wish they had more seating in doors. Fast service was a bonus too

Gorgers is absolutely my favorite late night dining experience. Since I live a block and a half away from the restaurant, whenever I am feeling late night munchies, this is where you will find me. I love the quesa fresco nachos with pork — because sriracha and pulled pork make everything better. My boyfriend always gets a medley of tacos based on his mood and is always satisfied and loves them. From working at a farm to table burrito shop at home, I can say that this is some of the better gourmet mexi-Cali in Ithaca, and for reference, I will always prefer over chipotle/moes/etc. My only complaint is not something easily changed by the restaurant. The location is across the street from moonies/other nearby baes, which means every time I go there the workers are harassed by drunk college students– which is hard to watch. Regardless, gorgers tacos is definitely worth a try!

The upsides: really friendly people, healthy fresh ingredients like spinach & cilantro, unique & tasty salsas like blueberry chipotle. The downsides: $ 8+tax for a VEGAN burrito(no meat, no cheese, no sour cream, though it was quite large). The tortilla fell apart on consuming. There were only two tables inside, both in use(fortunately it was a nice day for eating out on the commons). We’ll try again though, ’cause they were super nice & I like a place with fresh veggies.

The following night, I become very ill. Either it was just my body adjusting to the spice, or there was something in it that didn’t sit well with me. My stomach felt like it was caving in and I had to take multiple tums. Gorgers Taco’s were the only meal that I had that whole entire day. The meat(chicken) was okay, it was a bit bland. The sauce was spicy as advertised, but not flavorful. I wish the drink that I had, Ginger Lemonade, had a stronger Ginger and less sour Lemon flavor, but that’s my preference. The prices were not terrible, 7 dollars for 3 tacos or 2.50 for one.

Amazing, innovative, sauces on scrumptious burritos and tacos. Dudes in charge are super cool. A+ crush I mean, ginger aioli? Blueberry chipotle? Seriously? Ish is the bee’s knees.

No utensils except for two plastic forks. No drinks except for pre made Arnold Palmer counted up our bill wrong, slow, and food just ok. Small Arnold Palmer $ 2.50, quesadilla over eight dollars so no value either. My blueberry chipotle quesadilla hot but did not hold together well. Don’t go unless they change dramatically

This was a surprisingly bad place to eat. Like, one bite and we’re outta here bad. To me, it seemed that someone used the meat from a can of Campbell’s soup and stuffed it in a taco. Sauces were sickly sweet, save for the pico, which was pale tomato water. It has been a very long time since I’ve had a meal this poor and I was not going to force myself to finish it. Out ten bucks, but I suppose it can serve as an example to others.

The place is rather tricky to find tucked away in the commons right next to Casablanca pizza and across from moonies. The entire place had scent to it which wasn’t particularly inviting but wasn’t repulsive. They have 3 for $ 7 taco deals which we settled for. We loved everything we got. It took under 10 mins to get our order although the place was empty when we stepped in. The lad at the desk was nice enough but he was sweating and unkempt … Also the fact that he kept on cleaning his hands on his T-shirt didn’t strike me as a hygiene best practice. Overall Im not fussy about these things so I’d probably return … :). I do wish they’d come up to collegetown.

Quick and friendly service! Great lunch spot to grab tacos in downtown Ithaca. Limited seating. I enjoyed the chicken tacos with buffalo sauce, blue cheese, and scallions and thought the tortillas were good. I look forward to trying s nacho bowl next time! I appreciate that they have a small menu. Simple and tasty!

The thing about tacos is that they should be simple things with basic ingredients that are prepared thoughtfully and artfully. Gorgers(taco’s and subs) seem to be gimmicky attempts to attract all the people around Ithaca that have«#foodie» in their about me section of whatever social media platform is cool these days. I tried the taco shack because it was nearby and new. In my opinion white flour tortillas are a pretty bad move by any place that serves a taco. I also think that they over sauced my pork taco to the point that I only tasted hoisin and tortilla. I think it has potential as a late night alternative to pizza, and thats just about the only upside.

This place just opened and needs some work. They still need to put quite a bit of work into the décor. The service was friendly and quick. We had our tacos in less than 5 minutes. The tacos were good. They have some really unique ones too, like a Thai influenced one. They are $ 2.50 each or you can get 3 for $ 7. I do wish mine were a little warmer. Since this place is brand new, I was happy with it. You can’t expect a place to be perfect from day one. It’s worth a try!

I dig it. They’ve got a ton of really creative and delicious creations here. I tried 3 different tacos. All were tasty. Apples in one. Blueberry BBQ sauce in another. I ordered mine vegetarian, which means pinto beans instead of meat. I actually liked the beans. I also like that not everything relies on cheese to have flavor. I, for one, don’t have a problem with the flour tortillas. Price is good. $ 2.50 for one or 3 for $ 7.
