I am sad to see that Mexeo is closed. It was the best burrito I have ever had in my life and I even recommended it to people who had never been to Ithaca before.

The food at Mexeo is tasty, local, and fresh. As a previous reviewer said it’s not the best Mexican food in the world, but it’s the best Mexican food in Ithaca. Their hours are 11AM — 4PM, but sometimes they close early from experience(so don’t count on them being open at 3PM).

This is the only place in ithaca where you can get some good tex-mex. It’s a little pricy($ 8.50+ for a burrito) but they pack a lot in there and it’s all local, quality ingredients. Unfortunately, they close at something like 4pm, so you have to make it a lunch thing. Overall I was very satisfied with my meal, I just wish they stayed open for dinner.

This place is the best Mexican/Tex-Mex food in Ithaca. Since their move from the old location they have restored the taquito option, which is basically a big taco in a mini flower tortilla(not that deep fried rolled meat thing called a taquito at many restaurants). One taquito comes with a ton of meat compared to a standard taco, so two is a meal for most people and one is quite a substantial snack. All the meats are locally sourced and very flavorful, but sometimes can be a bit on the tough side. Now if you have experienced Mexican food from places like CA, this place won’t impress, but since Ithaca doesn’t really have a good Mexican place, this place is as good as it gets when it comes to satisfying your taco cravings — And they now have very tasty breakfast burritos in the morning. I highly recommend these. If you have ever had breakfast tacos, those amazing things invented in Austin Texas, these burritos are their big brother.
