My wife needed a second button on her suit jacket and I needed my pants re hemmed. Mr. Korik did a fantastic job at a reasonable price and we received both items back within 3 days. The shop is great and gives you an old school vibe. Make sure you call ahead to confirm his hours because they were inconsistent with what was displayed on Unilocal. This may also have been the case because we visited during the summer. Also note that it is cash only. Will definitely be returning for future alterations.

Brought a suit to Korik’s, and he did a great job. Had him shorten the sleeves, take in the waist on the jacket, and hem the pants. He tends towards more traditional tailoring, but didn’t make any fuss(like some of the other tailors around town) when I told him I wanted the sleeves a little higher to show some cuff. Took about a week and a half for him to finish, and charged ~$ 35. As far as I can tell, everything looked well done. Will be returning to him for all of my future tailoring needs. Only problems I had were that a) he doesn’t take credit cards(luckily the bank is right around the corner, so not an issue) and b) it took a while to find the door to his shop the first time around. It’s very inconspicuous, and I walked right past the door several times before I finally found it.

I took a pair of jeans to Korik’s to get them hemmed, and the finished hems were flawless. The owner/tailor is very nice — he really does make sure he understands what you want exactly, and when I went to go pick up the jeans, he told me to bring them back if anything doesn’t look or fit right. The only reason I’m giving this place 4 out of 5 stars is for the cost. He charged me $ 17 for a simple 2″ hemming job(not keeping the original hem or anything fancy). I usually pay between $ 10-$ 13 at other places, but I’m not sure how tailors in Ithaca compare to this price range.
