I can’t speak for all the stylists, but I had a terrible haircut from a stylist there and can’t remember her name. I wanted an a-line haircut and blond highlights. My hair turned out a terrible orange/rust color and the hair cut was not a line. I tried to direct her a few times on how to cut an a line(seriously.) But it was terrible. I went home frustrated and lived with it for a day before going back to get it fixed. She tried and I kept directing her. She was really mad and I could tell, but I spent $ 100+ for a terrible hairstyle and wanted it fixed. I kept trying to get her to give my hair the a line angle, but eventually gave up when I realized she was either too mad to do it right or too unskilled. Either way, I’ll never be back here. When I called I asked for their best hair stylist and if she really is, I’d hate to go to anyone else!

I am SO thankful to LiSalon for making everyone involved in my wedding gorgeous! After 2 other wedding hair/make up trials I was crying. Literally crying. I have extremely course/curly/kinky hair. I lived in Ithaca for years and had trouble finding stylists that could manage my natural curls. No one was understanding my vision for what I wanted to look like on my wedding day. Then I met Morgen from LiSalon! The trial was fantastic, but on the day of my wedding she was my hero! I had changed some things about my hair beforehand(I was able to email her pics) and my headpiece was extremely difficult to put in. It ended up taking way longer than expected so we were rushing, but she made it work and my hair was better than I could have hoped! In addition when doing my make up I was not super happy about the colors initially– she never looked annoyed despite the time crunch and re-applied it with different colors and my dream look was achieved. The staff there dealt with a handful of interesting people(read crazy) in my family. They let us bring food and pretty much use the entire salon for the day. I also had a deva treatment the day before for my rehearsal dinner. If I had any constructive criticism(so little) I would say it might have helped to have one more person there for make up and/or hair because that may have helped us have more time for pre-wedding pics but thats it. Ultimately I was thrilled because they made me feel gorgeous:) PS the prices were very reasonable!

I recently went in for a highlight and hair cut with Abbey. I’m always nervous to try out new places, but Li Salon was fantastic! Very comfortable and stylish place, and the prices were right! If you have fine blond hair like me, Abbey is your girl!

LiSalon is an extremely comfortable, relaxing and gorgeous salon with many different talents working there. No matter what your style is, they can help you look your best. I have more of a alternative style; I like fun and bright colors and funky haircuts… this is a look that is very hard to pull off unless it is done right. Ryan is a master of this type of style(she has gorgeous pink hair and a cute style) , and she’s done my hair previously at another location, but Im loving that she found a wonderful place like LiSalon to call home. Not only is she extremely talented, but she is very educated and well-spoken(she knows her sh*t).She did a color correction on me and ended up using Elumen to give me my bright red highlights and then styled my unruley hair into a sweet short layered bob. classy but with an edge, EXACTLY what i was looking for… I absolutely love it and I cant wait to see her again to see what she thinks up next. –v

I somehow managed to go almost two years just getting cuts at my old hair salon in Columbus over winter and summer breaks, but it recently reached the point where I DESPERATELY needed a trim or I was going to take shears to it myself. You know the feeling. Not good. After hearing nothing but disappointing and mediocre reviews from friends who had tried various places here in Ithaca, one gave a glowing recommendation for LiSalon. I called yesterday morning and they were able to squeeze me in that afternoon, which was incredibly convenient. LiSalon’s prices seemed very reasonable – depending on the level of stylist, a women’s haircut ranges from $ 28-$ 35. I had my hair trimmed by Morgen, who could not have been more friendly and understanding of my hair’s persnickety, frizzy tendencies(especially when it’s humid out… I call it the«triangle effect»). Since it was my first time there, she also took the time to show me around the salon. The waiting room has plush couches and a coffee/tea/water/WINE station(schwing!). Branching off are separate rooms for shampooing, waxing, manicures and pedicures, and haircuts/color. Everything was bright and cheery and looked immaculate and well-maintained. Overall, it was a great experience and if we weren’t moving away after my husband’s graduation in a month, I’d definitely be back again.
