Such great customer service. I went in looking for a small donation for the Avon 39 Breast Cancer marathon and half to raise funds for breast cancer research and prevention programs and was greeted with such a kind welcoming. I was even offered a personal tour and tasting. Thank you for continuing the local business market on a great note in Ithaca!

Loved this place! Coming from a family that has made Port wine for generations, I wasnt too impressed with the wine, but many in my group were. And no matter what, the man that runs this one man show is a gem! He was very friendly, and explained a lot about his background and how he makes the wine. You get a wine tour, and two tastings for $ 5. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a must stop for anyone in the surrounding area. The proprietor is knowledgeable and explains every detail of his wine making process as well as the antiques throughout the winery. The red port is absolutely delicious.

My husband was initially skeptical due to location — but this was our favorite winery of the few we visited in the Ithaca/Cayuga Lake area. The ports were amazing(I wish we bought a couple extra bottles). The tour and owner were great too! I would definitely suggest stopping in if you’re in the area!

This little winery is very easy to miss. However if you’re into wine, especially ports, this is a must see if you’re in Ithaca. The wines produced here are genuinely among the best I’ve ever had. Now I’ve spent a lot of time drinking a lot of wine, both domestic and imported, so for me to say that is something. The owner Frederic is a charming and personable man who knows a thing or two about port production. For three dollars he gives you a tasting of the two Meleau wines he produces and a tour of the facilities. His facility is small but he has a large collection of antiques brought over from France. If nothing else it’s a great history lesson to see some of the artifacts there. If you like port wine, or wine in general, I really suggest you check this place out. A bottle will run you close to fifty dollars, but the quality and longevity of the wine makes it well worth it. A hidden gem if there ever was one.

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a tasting as my husband is a big fan of port. The owner Frederic gave us a tour of the place, explaining the history of the business and how each port is made. We then sampled his ports which were beyond fantastic! You have to check out this place if you are in the area!

Frederic was an amazing host! The port selection was impeccable. My favorite was the Méléau white. He gave us a tour of the facility and was extremely knowledgable and friendly. One of my favorite wineries so far! I will definitively be coming back to pick up some more!

Frédéric and his operation are a reminder that Upstate New York has some of the top establishments in the world. His wine is exquisite and his small winery, a piece of history, is nothing short of incredible. Frédéric’s knowledge of wine comes from his interest in modern techniques, which he seamlessly fuses with tradition, and the irreplaceable experience of wine-making passed down from generations of Bouché. If you are in the area, stop by and taste some of his creations. You will not regret your choice.

Great wine, seriously. You may think $ 40 for a bottle is kind of pricy. But believe me that It’s worth every penny you spend on. It’s the best from finger lake area. Must have if you visit finger lake.

This is a hidden gem in the finger lakes. Frederic knows wine and creates a wine like no other in the region. His space makes you feel like you’re in a tasting room in a small winery in France. Do your self a favor an visit Ports of New York!

This guy deserves all five stars. I’m not really a wine fan, and I’m probably the cheapest person you’d ever meet, but I was so impressed that I bought a bottle. For $ 40, you can get some fantastic wine. I think. The last 30 bottles of wine I bought were $ 2.50 at Trader Joe’s, so don’t take my word for what’s good. All I can say is that the wine was worth it. The tour, more than worth it. For a couple bucks, you get a fantastic history and learn some this-and-that about winery-ing. If I enjoyed it, you certainly can.

Visiting the Ports of New York and speaking with Frederic was a truly wonderful experience. He is brimming with passion and knowledge of his craft. our group entered knowing very little about port, and left with a true appreciation for the spirit. Frederic is exactly what we were looking for in a gastro-tourism experience. We were very pleased with the tasting and left with product not because he was a good salesman, but because we had such an appreciation for the product he creates. It is delicious, and although he produces two styles of port, we could not have been happier. He does two things and does them extremely well. This was a highlight of our experience in Ithaca.

Best spot to visit off the wine trail that I’ve found so far. Like most of the other reviews, the owner is there since his operation is so small. He explains the process and how it differs from others in the area. If you have the time and the interest and I suppose depending on the crowd he will share his families history and stories about the artifacts he has on display. All this and the port is good too. It was a special weekend and we didn’t have to pay the tasting fee, which I would of had to say would be steep $ 2.00? a person for a taste of two ports. He did have free tasting coupons laying around. We did buy a bottle for $ 40.00.

Come to this awesome winery and hear Frederick the owner sharing his knowledge and great stories about his family and the winery. The red and white wine that he carefully produces here are unique.

On a recent trip to Ithaca, we were looking for something fun to do on a rainy day– the tasting and small tour here definitely delivered! We were the only ones here and the amazing owner sat down with us and gave us a wonderful, informative and fun lesson about Port! He was so friendly and he has an amazing story about his family and he came to bring the family business to Ithaca! The port was amazing and we left with 5 bottles to be saved until we return next time!

I came here with a small group as part of our annual camping trip in Ithaca! This small little winery finds its home in a loft type building and run by one gentleman from France who is carrying on the family business. Ports of NY offers tours and a tasting of the red and white port for $ 2/person. I was very impressed with the owner’s attitude and explanation of his whole set-up. He was very easy to talk to and and interesting to listen to hear him talk about his family’s business and how he makes his wine here. After a tour of the first floor, he will bring you upstairs into the loft area where there are two couches and some chairs that will sit at least 10 people. There he has pictures on the wall for significant events in his life and lots of memorabilia. Enjoy some tastings and chat for a bit. You will definitely have a good time,
