The upsides: Fresh fruit offerings are always abundant and very fresh. They have a «discount» card/app. Free sample cups. Real whipped cream. The downsides: The trashcan is always overflowing. There is no recycle bin offered for the spoons, so there is a boatload of waste. The cups offered for water are plastic = MORETRASH! There are no ingredients posted, which is strange considering the prevalence of allergies. The signage and advertising repeatedly touts«real ingredients», but it’s confusing what is meant by that, as the ingredient lists found on the corporate website include such«real» components as Red 40 and Artificial Flavors. Isn’t artificial pretty much the opposite of real? Look, I’m not under the illusion that I’m walking into a health food store when I purchase frozen yogurt at a franchise. But, when you broadcast REALINGREDIENTS, it gives customers the expectation that they’re eating something, well, real. As in not artificial. Misleading customers in the name of profit is a bit off-putting, so generally, I prefer to get my sugar/dairy fix elsewhere.

My recent experience at the Ithaca Yogurtland was very enjoyable due to the wide variety of flavors and toppings available. While I was there, I tried Salted Caramel Pecan, Peanut Butter Cookies & Cream, and Toasted Coconut Caramel with cheesecake bites and chocolate chips. I absolutely loved my customized cup of frozen yogurt, and was extremely impressed with the new selection of flavors since my previous visit just three weeks earlier. I would definitely recommend this location, and I can’t wait to return with my friends!

Always good experiences in the 15 times I’ve visited. Yogurt is smooth and delicious. Nice selection of toppings and glad they finally added whipped cream. Always clean and friendly. Currently 47 cents/oz. So far pumpkin pie flavor is the best.

I don’t understand the appeal of this place. The frozen yogurt is simply terrible — grainy, terrible mouth feel, lame and fake tasting flavors– and it is expensive. The soft ice cream at sweet Melissa’s on seneca is vastly better, as is the hard stuff at Purity or Cayuga creamery. Even store bought frozen yogurt is better.

First time here, Friday night. Excellent yogurt and excellent toppings. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place as well. I should have guessed that it was pay-per-pound, but I guess my candy store stupor got the best of me. I just kept piling EVERYTHING on top of my yogurt. I ended up paying $ 8.50 for a medium-sized container. The best part: ITWASWORTHIT.

It’s a good place. It’s just that I will not recommend anyone who is 117 pounds like me to visit here, or she will not resist coming here again and again. I enjoy, in the summertime, the sunlight which burns the skin of my leg when I sit outside the store under a sun-umbrella eating my mixed yogurt with abundant dressing on it. They provide countless choices of yogurt. I recommend dark chocolate and peanut butter. The fruit is fresh. The price is a good bargain, even cheaper than that back in China. The service is friendly.

Good place to get frozen yogurts! My favorite vanilla yogurt! It’s not expensive here. The good thing is that you can get a little of every flavor and pay least of money. It’s always go to come here after dinner. Good dessert ! Plus it’s healthier than ice creams !

The short: Yogurtland(YL) is THE best place for frozen yogurt in Ithaca. The long: I gauge the calibre of a frozen yogurt(froyo) by the balance between consistency of ice cream whilst retaining the tart creaminess of yogurt. To this end, I religiously sample the ‘original’ at each froyo locale prior to sampling the others. Immediately, YL stood out from its competitors. My tastebuds zinged happily from the cultured dairy yet were immediately soothed from the perfect creaminess every good yogurt should have(versus a sorbet-esque finish that a local competitor unequivocally provides). Further, had you plugged my nose so I could not taste, I would not have differentiated the ‘feel’ of soft serve ice cream from froyo at YL. In essence, the original tart is perfect. The next step is sampling well known flavors. Electing to create flavors with unique tastes is risky — since you’re automatically jumping back to your youthful years of licking the cake batter from the spoon(referencing red velvet cake batter) or the first time you experienced that burnt caramel yet creamy crème brule at a restaurant you can’t readily afford(especially if you’re in grad school… and now I’m referencing the crème brule flavor). YL attempts to recreate those memories in with a modern, healthier more mature twist as healthful frozen yogurt and succeeds, without question. YL also wins on account of the store-wide acceptance of multiple sampling. The courtesy YL extends to the patrons to sample with excitement and curiosity to ensure well-filled cups and happy customers is unmatched across Ithaca. Finally I am forced to comment on the toppings. I’m a froyo purist, which means I keep the toppings to an absolute minimum, indulging only if I have craving to pair so strong my pure love for good froyo doesn’t pull through. I find the toppings creative, sometimes unusual(referencing chocolate covered sunflower seeds), but has every texture under the sun to top off that froyo for those to whom that matters. In conclusion: YL wins in the category of perfect original, has mastered the nuances of tricky flavors, and provides unhindered access to samples which(at least, on my part) ensures that they get MY money’s worth!

I don’t often pig out on «healthy» yogurt, but when I do, I go all out. Peanut butter, French vanilla, pistachip, cookie dough, crumbled chocolate bars, and gummy bears. B00m. All for less than $ 5.

Yogurtlands are pretty standard among themselves… there is nothing that stands out to me about this location compared to other Yogurtlands, however Yogurtland as a franchise blows any other yogurt place out of the water. The flavors here are the best– where some chains I have been to just have too many versions of chocolate/peanut butter/vanilla, Yogurtland has really unique and inventive flavors like the hibiscus passion fruit sorbet, tart passion fruit blackberry, and taro.

Love all of the yogurt choices that Yogurtland has to offer!!! Changing flavors each month is great because I get to try a new flavor each month :) The toppings are wonderful, I just wish there were chocolate covered pretzels like I have seen at other frozen yogurt places! Overall, my favorite froyo place to date!

Best froyo in Ithaca, hands down. The flavors here cannot be beat and the price can be a bit much but darnit, it’s so worth it! I continue to go here time and time and time again. I love the fruity flavors and they definitely have them! The toppings are great as well, but they need a few more options that smart yogurt definitely has such as the cheesecake bites. Yogurtland has these but they are so small and they just taste frozen whereas smart yogurt has good cheesecake chunks that taste as if they were freshly made! The brownies at smart yogurt are better than the brownies at yogurtland as yogurtlands are usually hard and not soft like brownies should be. Nice and soft and fudgy! This is why I knock it down 1 star because of the toppings. But this doesn’t deter me from loading up on fruit and poppers and gummy worms! I’ll continue to return here time and time again!

I was happy to see that they had a dairy-free option. We’ll be back — and I hope that there are additional dairy-free flavors in the future.

29 cents an ounce? YES. So much cheaper than pink berry. I love the way you can sample a ton of flavors. My favorite flavors were tart and strawberry. My friends preferred the other flavors such as cookies and cream, red velvet, oatmeal raisin etc. They have a ton of toppings ranging from fruit to cookie dough to malt teasers. It was so addictive that I came here 3 days in a row… the only reason I didn’t go for my 4th day in a row is because I left Ithaca.

I love Yogurtland. I’m not the biggest froyo fan in the world, but the Yogurtland back at home is always the place to hit up with all of my friends back in Cali. Now that it’s here in Ithaca, a tear rolled down my eyes as I could reminisce about the great times I had back home… albeit in either suffocating humid weather or freezing winter snow(so excited). This place is like a typical Yogurtland and I love how they have so many flavors and toppings, although I think the one back at home has a couple more flavors. The service is good too and everyone seems really friendly and nice. I’m not going to lie, I sometimes just eat at Chipotle next door and come to Yogurtland for all the free sample cups of froyo you can get.
