«Buen Hecho» I dropped by on NYE actually at 6am and was pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was open and bumping. The food portions are humongous for the price; you probably could get away with splitting a plate between two people. The food is ok but I didn’t mind because Where else are you going to cheap, good food at 6am?

AHHHH! Just okay. I had some kind of fried fish that I wasn’t familiar with. The fish didn’t taste bad, it was just lacking flavor. I had to dip it in some sauce. The rest of the food was good. I tried my friend’s grilled tilapia and it was great. I would definitely go back, but just get a different dish.

The shell and filling in an empanada are equally important. This place gets the filling right but the shell is awful. We brought home empanadas which was literally a block away. For the first time, I ate only the filling. The aji sauce is probably one of the best in the area.

Great little place, stopped in here with some friends who come out of their way to eat here and i can see why. After a brief wait for a table, we were waited on immediately with very prompt service. The food came out with 6 – 7 minutes of ordering which was pretty unreal. Portions are fairly large and the food is excellent. I’ll definitely be making more trips here when i venture into Queens.

Perfect. Everything was absolutely amazing from service to food. I’m really stingy with my 5 stars, but this place really deserves it. I got the chicken and avocado arepa and it was gooooood. Perfectly sauced and seasoned. The chicken was nice and tender(dark meat) and the avocado was soft and mushy just the way I like it. The corn cake wrap thing was tasty too. It was my first arepa ever and it was awesome. My friend got a seafood soup dish which was pretty great too. The seafood was fresh and there was a lot of it. Fish, clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, squid, calamari. And the soup was delicious. Some kind of sweet tomato spiced soup. It was like a seafood bisque. Service was excellent. I may even go so far as to say it was the best service I ever had and this is not a five star looking restaurant. It’s more like a casual Colombian diner. But they knew how to serve well. We asked for an extra bowl to share the soup dish and without asking, they brought a soup ladle, extra plates, and an extra spoon for me. You may think this is as expected but you’d be surprised how many places don’t pay attention to details like that. I was pretty impressed. They also gave us Colombian lollipops with the check. Nice little surprise. The menu is pretty extensive but everything looks good. I can’t wait to go back to try something else. The portions are really really generous. We left slightly bloated, but 100% satisfied.

We love going here for breakfast! Really about as good as it gets. Staff/service is always great, and we rarely leave without several things for take-away(especially the ajiaco!) to have the next day. Great work and don’t change!

If you’re looking for some great authentic Colombian food then you got to try this place. The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. I usually always go with the large platters because they’re extremely filling and only around $ 13. Service is moderate, and sometimes you just wish you spoke Spanish so you could communicate better with everyone but luckily there are pictures on the menu’s. Seating is fairly decent restaurant size and the wait time for your order I would say is reasonable. Parking is street, but good luck trying to find a spot since it’s so heavily populated around that area. Luckily, the train station is only a few blocks away so it’s a great alternative. Décor is alright, nothing fancy but the food is what will definitely keep you coming back! This is my go-to Spanish food spot so definitely try it out! #HiddenJewel

Their food is great! I love how flavorful their steaks are. Their hot chocolate is great too. Their juices are amazing as well. My favorites are mora(blueberry) and maracuya(passion fruit) with milk.

What happened to this place? I dont live close but when i go to queens i come here. It was packed before., now they took the Bakery Out its only reataurant, u think it would be better but it was worse. We came in for lunch just my hubby and my preggo self. We got seated, it took more than 10 minutes for someone to come ask what we wanted to drink, i was sooo hungry and mad i was about to walk out when these other waiter saw my face and de ides to take yhe order. We stayed, the food was bad, my husband asked for welldone he got it Very pink. DONOTRECOMMENDIT! Go somewhere else. The bakery pecoshas is no good ither, you can see the onwer is just a Perv, the girls there have to show cleavage, the pan pan de bono, and other things are not the best, bread was old. You could taste it. NO good!

I have been eating here forever. Great awesome food, but service sucks and has gone worst. Nobody cares. You have to wait for menu. When food comes, you have to ask for silver ware. And water too. I have always left 20% tips, but service is zero. No management. It’s pathetic. They should not take things for granted. All they do is hire good looking waitresses, but clueless about service. Wake up please!

I love 24⁄7 eateries, and the food and service here are quite solid. I had cazuela mixto, which is very flavorful and filled with seafood. While I feel sort of disappointed since they serve many dishes with bland french fries and cole slaws.

The food here use to be great… Not anymore. The service was the worst, to say the least. The food was bland and flavorless. It’s a Colombian restaurant but they are the only ones in all of queens that don’t offer Colombian brand drinks like Postobon. I would never again eat at this place and its a shame because the food use to be delicious. I would recien going to «El Basurero» instead, it’s located in Astoria. The food there is still great and the service rocks!

Terrible. Not only do they mop with ammonia while you’re eating(thanks for destroying my palate) but I found hair baked INSIDE my pan de bono and our server wasn’t surprised or particularly concerned when I showed it to him. Made the mistake of going there for a post-party breakfast around 5am once, never again. I wish I could say better things especially about my fellow Colombian peeps, but with the enormous amount of Colombian restaurants and bakeries in the immediate area, I can’t believe that one would make such little effort. Do yourself a favor get your baked Colombian goods anywhere but here.

I always love coming here. While some people may not like it because it’s «cheap» and a little dingy looking(these people usually can’t even describe what they don’t like about it), I always find the food here good. I’ve brought many people here. While it may not be the BEST Colombian food I’ve had, it’s pretty close(you won’t find better food outside Colombia) and the prices are super cheap. It’s also open 24 hours. The only issue I have is that service can be spotty sometimes and it can get full/crowded. The alcoholic drinks aren’t that good either(but the fruit/smoothie type drinks are excellent). Either way, the multitude of people I’ve brought(from many different countries) have thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic Colombian food here. P. S.: They no longer have a bakery here. They moved that to La Pecoshitas(80 – 03 Roosevelt Ave), so go there for all your bakery needs(Cositas Ricas still serves empanadas).

I came here on a Saturday for my mother’s birthday a few weeks ago with my family. There were 6 of us and we were really lucky we didn’t wait too long to be seated, about 20 mins. Before this day, we hadn’t been there in years so we didn’t realize we had to take a number in order to be served. The food was really good. Most of us ordered the bandejas with steak. A couple ordered the fried fish, which they really liked. We enjoyed some sangria, too. The downside was that they didn’t have everything we wanted. I wanted a Colombian dessert that was fried plantain with flour and cheese. They also didn’t have raspados, which are an iced fruit kind of dessert with condensed milk. Overall, the restaurant was decent. The pan de bonos were good. The staff was nice. It was really small so we felt really cramped. We ordered a few side dishes and so our table ran out of room quickly; we had to combine a couple of the plates. I don’t know if the food is worth going back there from long island.

I never really ate here other than picking up an Empanada on the go this time around I decided to sit down since a friend wanted to try the place. Came in & were seated right away, the place was pretty busy. As for the restaurant not much to be said about the décor. on top of that looked like they were having an issue with a leak on the roof so there were buckets & crap all over the floor but whatever I guess not a big deal to me. Once seated they gave us our menus quickly enough but took forever to take our order. We started with some Empanadas & Aguila beer, the empanadas were good & so was the beer nice big glass & pretty cold too. I tried the Churrasco de Pollo, this is a pretty big plate huge piece of chicken w Yuca fries, rice & cole slaw. The chicken itself was delicious nice grilled piece very juice & flavorful, yuca fries were yummy & the rice was good. I wasn’t too crazy about the cole slaw it had a bit of a sweet taste to it, not bad I just thought it would be a regular salad that came with the food would have been better for me at least. My friend went with the Super Bandeja, this comes with a little bit of everything –brown beans, sweet plantain, Chicarón, egg, rice, avocado, ground beef, chorizo & arepa! Everything mixes well together, the Chicarón, chorizo & sweat plantain are pretty tasty on their own Everything else not bad. Over all our meal was good, prices are decent but not bad at all since u get your money’s worth due to their large portions, service on the other hand could use some help they are not very attentive.

My family would often take trips to NYC and we’d always make it a ritual to stop in Jackson Heights just to have some authentic Colombian food. This place NEVER disappoints! We arrived during the peak hours of the morning and we were greeted by the friendly manager during our wait. We had a table within 10 min. Our server was very friendly and the food was out within 10 minutes. My bf had the Bandeja Paisa and I had Huevos Pericos with Calentao. Absolutely everything was delicious. In sum, the attention was great, yummy authentic Colombian food, and last – beautiful Colombian servers!
