*Be prepared this salon is primarily run by Latinos so you may not have the easiest time communicating with the staff if you don’t speak Spanish.*
I was recommended to this salon by a local waitress I know and she specifically told me to go to Memo. Memo is a Colombian hairstylist that has been in the trade for over 20 years and can this boy cut! All I did was show him a picture of the my desired hair style and he went to work. Moreover even 3 months later as my hair has grown out the cut has maintained it’s shape. That’s a true testament to a good hair cut. Only downside is that Memo doesn’t really speak much English, so if you are uncomfortable with that I recommend asking someone else within the staff to explain what you want to him in Spanish for you. Also don’t be afraid when this guy gets to work. He cuts quick ‘snip snip snip’ and then all of a sudden you turn around and your done. He spends more time actually blowing the hair out then cutting it. It may seem scary at first but its worth it. To top it all off it was only $ 40. A total steal!
If you don’t want to get your hair cut/​styled then you can also get a manicure or pedicure which they offer on the premises. Overall this is a great neighborhood spot that was a true surprise.
