The service is horrible the«manager» lacks of experience in hospitality and waiters have no idea what they are selling! If you really want to enjoy authentic Peruian cuisine Go elsewhere!!!

We went here as a last option on Mother’s Day, the place was empty, that was a sign of bad service. We didn’t even get to eat, terrible service from the moment we walked in, the manager looked like he was having a bad day. We walked out, PS all we wanted was Peruvian breakfast and he said they didn’t have and walked away. We left and came to Urubamba

Honestly I would never came back to this place I order to Jaleas(seafood) and one seafood soup They show me a menu with two different sizes I ask for a big one after they serve the food they give me a small dish they charge me 22 dollars each !!! I ask why they don’t give me the big one they say we only have small !!! And this is the only sizes Please make me upset very disappointed They don’t accept credit cards and I so expensive I ending paying 86 dollars for little dishes and for this kind the money I could get more food and bigger dishes in another prestigious place remember they don’t accept credit cars to bad!!!

Not bad for takeout. It looks tiny inside, don’t think I’ll ever dine in. The fries were terribly soggy last time though. is it that hard to make good fries? Chicken was flavorful and I did like their green sauce. Probably will be sticking to take out since the price is right.

The service is bad, they have a lack of speed, memory to remember the orders,(because apparently they refuse to write things on paper) so they forget things and don’t submit the order correctly. They have a lack of product knowledge, the waiters don’t have an idea of what they are selling. The food is good, but seriously the customer service is mediocre.

This review is solely based on the pollo a la brasa. This place was a block away from where I grew up and where my family still lives and was always, and still is; a quick place to get some tasty Peruvian pollo a la brasa. I like the spicy green sauce they give you, it use to be my favorite compared to other South American restaurants green sauce; but recently it’s been pretty watered down. I guess since we are Hispanic ordering food was never an issue for us, but we always pick up the food and never deliver. It’s literally half a block away and delivery would always take WAY too long when we could call in, leave the apartment in 20min and pick up the chicken with ease. My family has always lived in the Jackson heights/corona area since immigrating from Dominican Republic and through out all the time here we have here we have only ever ordered the chicken lol!

RACIST!!! Refused to take my telephone order because I speak English instead of Spanish. Good luck if you’re not Hispanic.

Pretty good food but the staff is completely incompetent. They don’t speak a word of English and messed up my order on more than one occasion. Will never give them business again.

Come here all the damn time. Love love love love love love(is that enough love?) peruvian food period. I always order the same thing which is: Fried Calamari, Salchipapa(hot dogs, frenchfries, and ketchup mayo mustard on top), Quarter chicken, and a side of their orange rice. Omgggggggggggg I can eat this every day! I share of course. but I wish I didn’t have to. The only reason why I am giving this place only 4 stars is because the waitresses almost always S U C K. They are extremely rude and sometimes come off as arrogant which is totally dumb. since you are technically waiting on me. Idk. whatever. Enjoy the food, ignore the waitress.

last night was my mom’s birthday and she had ordered the chicken and french fries from this location and I thought it was pretty good. So when I passed by today I couldn’t help stopping in to get an order of fries togo but since I was already in I figure I buy some desserts for my wife. When I got home I wanted to surprise her but the desserts were not in the bag. The reason why I was not able to tell if my order was complete was because the fries came in a large container and it was double bagged with a brown paper bag and a white plastic bag as well. I called them as soon as I realized what happened and they were not willing to even consider that they could have forgotten to complete the order, these thing happen. Anyway the two ladies that I spoke with said that it was my fault for not not checking. I guess it was for thinking that they were doing their job. I have mentioned this to my folks and they said that they ordered two whole chickens for her birthday and only got one. At least they’re consistent. Its obvious that attention to simple things are a challenge to this establishment and I find it hard to tolerate this kind of treatment where even a simple apology could have gone a long way. I guess it’s better to know now that to trust them in the future.

I ordered a red beef stew with rice because I was in a hurry and they were getting ready to close. That was one of the weekend dishes available. The food is pretty decent BUT this time they served me the beef stew cold! and the beef was hard I was in a hurry and hungry and ate it, I should have complained right away-I know it’s my fault, but they were literally closing. Anyway I will not be going there any longer. The guy who runs the place doesn’t do a good job of taking orders either, he isn’t friendliest host and when I told him about the cold food when I was getting ready to pay, it’s as if he didn’t care. If you are going to close the place tell me we are closed but you can take to go and serve me the meal hot the way it is supposed to be served!!! PLUS this guy is always hiring new girls, no joke I must have seen like 10 different girls working there and quitting since I started going there. I think this guys slaves them! never again! please don’t go

I just ordered take out from here tonight and the delivery took awhile. The chicken(½ pollo is $ 4.50) was moist but had no distinct flavor, at least I had the green sauce to add for some spice. I also ordered an avocado salad($ 6) and the fried yuca($ 3) and both of those sides were pretty good. I agree with Jimmy W., there is a language barrier! It seemed like forever for them to take my order over the phone, I had to constantly repeat my address and phone number! I may need to try a few other menu items and update this review later.

Of all the Latin chicken places I’ve been to, this 1 stands out for higher quality food & service. In many of these places the chicken is dry and don’t even try the seafood. Here though the chicken was moist and delicious and even the mussels and ceviche appetizers were not overcooked or rubbery. I also like that they start you with some kind of roasted corn complementary. t’s different. The sweet plantains weren’t great, but our server was really nice and made us feel welcome. The prices are moderate(the chicken is cheep, $ 4.00 for half a chicken), but other dishes are more expensive.

the food is decent. i dont know why spanish food is always so much more expensive than chinese food. the seafood is especially expensive for over 17 dollars. i bought 2 dishes it was ½ chicken with rice and 3 chicken soup. she bought nistec a lac chorillana which is beef, steamed potato and sauteed onions and tomatoes. all of the dishes were salty except the soup. the chicken was for my dish was alot better than the beef. the beef wasnt tender enough and it felt like i was chewing on gum. if you wanted to practice your spanish, come here because they barely speak any english.
