This place gets super packed and almost impossible to even walk through to get to the bar. The service sucks, You gotta stay behind them or else they wont attend you. If you buy a bottle and they see it a ¾ of the bottle finished they take aways your table, because«others are willing to buy more bottles» its ridiculous sometimes. Even the people I always see in there every time I go are annoying. Lol smh but other than all that, GREAT Music and… Great Music…

It’s a Latino bar for Latinos by Latinos. I’m not a big dancer and technically you can’t but don’t go to a Latino bar and expect white people atmosphere. Just. Don’t. Make. No. Sense. That being said I’m not the biggest fan of all their stuff or prices(could be a tad cheaper but whatevs) but I know exactly what to expect when I go and they more than deliver. Great bar for the niche they aim to serve.

This place is soooo loud. it’s ridiculous. It’s impossible to hold a convo. Plays reggaeton… exclusively. Ordered a pineapple vodka, bartender didnt have pineapple juice and instead of telling me just gave me straight vodka. Thanks? Go to Amaru next door.

The last time I tried to go, it appears as if it may have changed owners. New décor. And they had an obnoxiously loud, drunken Karaōke crowd on the Thursday night that I attempted to go. We walked in & walked out. Sad, because this was one of my favorites places. I’ve yet to go back and check on an alternate night, but I’ll keep you updated…

Rubi Rosa has been in the neighborhood for about a year I think… I’ve visited a few times so this review is preliminary. They have a decent mojito which incidentally is their signature drink. I think their concept is to be a bar/lounge and a restaurant but it’s more a bar that serves food. The menu is Caribbean/Dominican inspired. I think if they paid a bit more attention to the food they could pull the concept off. Come on Rubi Rosa you’re so close! Tried the mofongo which was pretty decent but nothing special. Never been there for the nightlife but I can say that the music is predominantly Latin American/Reggaeton/Meringue/Bachata/Salsa Friendly attentive staff, decent service. They also have an outdoor space with tables etc.
