How things have changed New Truck, New Employees equals a decline in food quality & the way they handle food, is straight UNSANITARY! Employee wears a glove 4 what, when he handles Food, Money & Scratches His Head all w/the same glove! Ewwwwww The BBQ sauce they use is soO water down, it won’t even stay on the Meat… Talk about cutting corners! The spot is dead toO me & there Tzatziki sauce is Trash ToO…

When u are hungry tired of walking through Home Depot or Bed Bath & Beyond. This is the spot to hit, Tender juicy & perfectly seasoned with a peace of bread that is the cherry on top! Easy and convenient when your in the mojo for a good bite, but don’t want to go far or wait in line. If you around the area don’t miss the opportunity of trying such a meaty treat.

Yep, it’s real good. I find myself making excuses to go to Home Depot just to eat here. If the wind is blowing the right direction toward the parking lot, you will find it impossible to leave without getting some of this meat on a stick. I might try the pita next time. He lists tuna on the menu too but rarely has it. I wish he would. Keep it up Souvlaki Guy!

Love this Souvlaki! You can see the people sitting right next to his cart all cozy like a tight knit family enjoying amazing food. The Souvlaki is SPOTDEADON here. I have eaten my fair share of Souvlaki living in Jackson Heights for over 30 years and I can tell you this is where it is at. Just the right amount of charred taste and very very juicy always, this Souvlaki NEVEREVER dissapoints me … ever. I always make sure I have some if I happen to head out to bed bath and beyond or home depot… its a perfect meal to shop with.

The review for this place is spot on. Located in what feels like the middle of nowhere this stand grills tender chucks of chicken either on a stick or a piled high gyro. Either way, you can’t lose. And at cheap prices, your wallet wont feel a thing. So if you are shopping for home goods at Home Depot or BBB, make sure to stop here for a quick bite. You wont be sorry.

Spank me if you will. I’ve been a very bad girl. Yes, I’m greedy. And selfish. And I don’t like to share. But ya’ll seem like nice folks so I’ll let you have a taste of my Souvlaki Guy. The«Guy’s» souvlaki cart is located right outside the parking lot of the Bed Bath & Beyond/Home Depot shopping center in East Elmhurst so one can conveniently pick up a snack/meal after you’ve shopped for boring home knick knacks, light bulbs, or Draino. However most times the conversation usually goes like this. «Hun, you want souvlaki for lunch?» «Sure let’s go.» «Need anything from Home Depot while we’re there?» «Eh not really…» Yes, I’ll take the drive 5 or so miles away to get here and souvlaki is usually the main reason for the trip. Souvlaki Guy is there practically every day until around 8pm unless the weather is bad, he’s not in the mood(which is rarely ever) or he’s away traveling the world as he seems to do every now and then. His pork souvlaki at $ 2.50 is always freshly cooked. If not, he will throw on a new batch of meat for you because he’s cool like that. The meat is always succulent with the right amount of char. The salty burnt edges coupled with the lemon juice and hot sauce is what I sometimes wake up craving on weekend mornings. Chicken is offered too if that’s your thing. Have your meat in a pita sandwich if preferred but the souvlaki here is best eaten in its purest form. He’s good to his regulars and they will drive in just to get that delicious meat on a stick — cops, firefighters, nearby workers, and simply those in the know of where to get a delicious cheap meal. I’m surprised he’s not on Unilocal yet and if he is, well then he deserves a second listing. While most souvlaki carts depend on business from foot traffic, this one is situated in the middle of no where Queens that is only accessible by car or *gasp* bus. When I inquired if he ever moves around to different spots, he replied with«. but who’s going to feed all these people?» After visiting Souvlaki Guy for many years, conversing with him over anything and everything like an old friend, I hope you too will visit and support him so he won’t retire and move to Greece like he always threatens me he’ll do. Please don’t make me chase him halfway around the world for my fix.
