Good food, needs salt! Waiters act like they are doing a favor, our waiter answer in rude tone. My wife ask for spice sauce for her leftover arroz chaufa and he said is not possible. We wanted to split the check with our friend and pay master card and visa, they don’t accept visa card

Very reasonably priced Peruvian place. Cozy atmosphere. The goat is very well made. No more BYOB, but you’ll be fine with the prices. It was about 9 of us, with tips and drinks it came out to $ 32/pp.

The chicken a la parilla, the rice, potato salad and sangria are the best. The service can be a little better but overall I keep coming back because it’s delicious.

Great Peruvian! I’ve gone here numerous times and I have to say. I think this is one of my favorite places for Peruvian! I’ve had the ceviche, the anticuchos, the tacu tacu. and its always been really good… oh and they have some really really good green sauce!!! you should also definitely try the chichi and sangria… good date spot too.

Damn good food… bf and I were craving for some seafood so we Unilocaled around the area and this was a top choice. Good job fellow Unilocalers… this place is amazing. We had the papa rellena, the piqueo del mar, and the flan and everything was so good! We really loved the papa rellena. the shell was so fluffy and perfect with the mashed potato interior. Looks are deceiving; it tastes much better than it appears. The flan was also really really good! My bfs dad lived in a Spanish country for several years and loves flan. We bought an extra slice home and even he complimented it. The only thing that is preventing me from giving 5 stars is the pressure from the waiter to order more food. We knew we got enough, since we even had some leftovers to bring home. He was curt but seemed upset with the amount of food on the table.

I love the restaurants atmosphere and vibe. I’m Peruvian my self and their food is good. I had the green spaghetti but it wasn’t that good but I’ll deffintley come back and try something else. Their foods presentation is great I love a place that takes their time to make a great presentation.

Wait service is a bit slow. But who won’t need much service once your food arrives bc you’ll be too busy enjoying your meal. This place is delicious! Papa la huancaina, aji pollo, pescado sudado wow delicioso! Must order their sangria to help wash it down !

One of My favorite Peruvian restaurants in Jackson Heights. What I love from this place and I always go there is for their Calamari. It is simply scrumptious and tasty. I love their Green sauce but becareful with their orange sauce it’s S P I C E Y!!! If any one goes there order a pitcher of Chicha Morada it’s delicious… Highly suggested to go there especially with Family!

This place was not all the rage and needs improvement. There are much better Peruvian restaurants in Queens than this one. First time here 1STAR. This review is about the overall restaurant. My group of three ordered the large jalea and one medium sangria but they forgot to add the clams, red onions, and salsa verde which according to my group members always comes with the jalea. They brought out the red onions, clams, and the salsa verde(half way through the meal). The salsa verde looked very bubbly and watery like it was made in a rush. The fish, scallops, shrimps, and octopus was okay nothing special. It’s jalea which is fried fish. You can’t f*&k this up unless you want to. The service was slow and terrible. 1 waiter for for 3 tables which to me is light. I’ve seen waiters handle 9 tables and still have a smile, a sense of confidence, and pleasant demeanor. There was no greeting and interaction with the waiter. It was a hi and by service. No connection what so ever. There was no «can I get you anything else» or «would you like a coffee». Nope none of that. I mean come on the waiters from the Colombian restaurant next door even say«Buen provecho» which translates to «Bön appetite». It comes down to the training that must be provided to the staff. For instance we got the jalea which is 1 big plate before we got the individual plating which took like 10 minutes into the meal. This is a dish you share you have to lay out the plating for the guest. When the bill arrived, I was charged for 2 sangrias which was a total crock. It was fixed but on top of all this ladies and gentlemen they don’t take Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card or any other major credit card. They only take American Express. Which is odd because they charge a mandatory tip. How prey tell do you expect your customers to pay the bill if you only except one credit card and have a restaurant in Queens, one of the most diverse places in the world. Not everyone is carrying a wad of cash and there isn’t a bank nearby or ATM on site. If you looking for quality food and service for a good price there are plenty of other places to check out. This place to put it in a nice way was disappointing.

Urubamba is an amazing Peruvian restaurant in Queens. I got the chicken saltado which had chicken cooked with tomatoes and onions, and served with rice. It was really good, and my friend loved the seafood paella that she ordered. The service was also really great. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to check out authentic Peruvian food. I would definitely come back here.

This place is amazing! I’ve never had Peruvian food but my boyfriend recommended this place after he had dined here with his Peruvian friend. All the dishes are so flavorful and the portion sizes are huge! The quality is great and so is the price tag. I’ve been telling my boyfriend that we need to go back ASAP! I am craving my skirt steak…

I found this restaurant on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. When we finally found parking and went into the restaurant, my boyfriend and I were greeted by a friendly and attractive waitress. She greeted us in Spanish of course. She gave us the option to sit anywhere, which we did(towards the back, diagonally across from the bar). For appetizers, we started with tostones(fried green plantains) and papa de rellena(potato ball stuffed with minced beef). The papa de rellena was amazing and it was huge. It was packed with lots of meat, which is unheard of. It costs $ 7. The tostones were good. Moving onto the entrée, we ordered beef stew with cilantro sauce which is served on tacu tacu(crispy rice and beans) and skirt steak saltada. My boyfriend and I agreed that the skirt steak saltada was very flavorful. The beef stew and tacu tacu was good too, but the tacu tacu was not crispy. It tasted like mixed rice and beans clumped together. For dessert, we had mango — coffee ice cream. It tasted more like coffee and was ok, but nothing special. I definitely would come back here. In fact, I recommended this place to my sister and brother in law.

Food was good, but I was very annoyed that when paying they don’t accept VISA cards!!! Wth, what restaurant or place does not accept VISA??? Thankfully, I had a MasterCard, and I had to cover the whole bill on my card when we were three ppl. I would come back for the food, but not having VISA available like that… No, I won’t be coming back anytime soon.

The food, on it’s own: THREESTARS This review is about the overall restaurant. I ordered the Papa Rellena Con Arroz. The description read«crispy mashed potato stuffed with meat served with rice — $ 9.75.» When the entrée arrived, there was no rice with it. I asked the waiter about this and he said, «Well this does come with rice but it’s also on the appetizer menu without the rice. Did you want it as an appetizer or should I bring out the rice.» I had not read through the appetizers and so I had no way of verifying this but took his word for it and said that’s fine. The portion was decent without the rice and I figured it would be cheaper this way. The waiter asked if we wanted hot sauce and I said yes. We were halfway through our meal when I had to flag him back and ask about the hot sauce. «Oh I forgot.» he said and then finally brought it out. When the bill arrived, my item was still charged at $ 9.75. I didn’t say anything and just paid it making up my mind never to return. When a customer orders Papa Rellena CONARROZ, why is the wait staff not bringing out the rice and making the call on whether the customer should get the rice or not? And why is the wait staff lying about it being on the appetizer menu when it is not? All this might explain why the neighboring restaurants were packed and this one was so empty when we went. If you’re contemplating walking into this restaurant, do yourself a favor — walk a block down where you’ll find other restaurants serving similar fare that are better priced and have better service.

This place is great for food, but for service it needs improvement. It took 10 long minutes for the waitress to notice me standing in front of the door to ask me for how many people is my party. When eating it took them a while for them to notice we need water in our desk… We ordered these: — Anticuchos: Wonderful, well grilled and the taste was awesome. The sides were well done as well — Tamales: Ok, nothing special just any tamal — Ceviche Mixto: Well done, the spiciness is well done and the sides were great — Tostones: Ok, nothing special just any tostones — Lamb with rice: Well done, the sause mixed with the rice makes a great combination of taste. The lamb was well cooked and tender — Pork with rice: Ok, nothing special This place is worth for coming for the food if you do not mind the poor service…

Great news!!! Just passed by one of my favorites places in Jackson Heights and just found out they got their liquor license!!! Now I can enjoy a great ceviche and a lomo saltado while drinking a sangria or a glass of wine. That’s awesome!!! Definitely going there this weekend. So excited about it.

The food continues to be fantastic, flavorful with huge portions and yet still very affordable. I went today for lunch and I was amazed the service has improved drastically!!! It no longer takes half a day to get your food and another hour to get your check!!! Today they were definitely on point!!! My only reason for not giving them a full 5 stars is that they still do not serve liquor(the sign on the door says they will be serving liquor soon) and they are no longer byob… ughhh…I’m not a lush…(ok maybe a little. lol) but It would be nice to have at least some wine /beer with my meal… hopefully they will work on that quickly…

I had high hopes for Urubamba. Such cute décor! The food just looked amazing. So… what happened? Were my hopes too high? Maybe it was what we ordered(ceviche was both too sour and way too salty, chicha was okay but not spectacular) or maybe it was just an off couple of days(dinner.‘service’ –or lack-there-of– was tauntingly slow and actually a bit rude. yet the place was not full at all and there were ample staff members around). Ultimately, I was not impressed.

Totally unassuming place at the corner of 37th ave and 87th st. It came highly recommended by a friend who works across the street and my cousins, so naturally we all got together and had a lovely dinner! We mainly ordered a set of appetizers and paella and ate family style. We had the Piqueo Del Mar(which is a combination platter of mixed seafood in lime juice, crispy calamari, fish in aji amarillo, mussels with onion and tomato), Papa Rellena, Choclo Peruano Con Queso(peruvian corn with queso fresco), Pork Tamales, and the aforementioned Paella. Everything was great! except for the corn, I could do without that. Not what I was expecting! The service was a little slow and sketchy too but, they’re perfectly friendly people and we had a nice time just chatting and catching up anyway. For dessert, get the dulche de leche cookie!!! Steal them if you can. It’s a great cookie :)
