After reading all five star reviews, and since I live two blocks away, I decided to give it a shot. I had my hair cut by Ernesto. He gave me a nicer cut than the cuts I was getting at the place I had been going to for the past five years in Astoria. Ernesto is very skilled, works at a nice pace, and does exactly what you ask him to do with easy. I will definitely go back in a few weeks, and I highly recommend Ernesto.

Walked in for a pre-​interview haircut, got a chair immediately. Quiet but meticulous Spanish-​speaking barber took care of the cut and beard trim in no time, and it was less than $ 20 to boot.

We didn’t end up at Sal’s because there were three ahead so we went to this place to get my boyfriend’s hair cut and he got a great cut – for $ 12! He thought he wanted a shorter cut, but the older gentleman (didn’t get his name) who cut his hair seemed to know what he was doing and got it just right. We’ll definitely be going back, especially at $ 12.

I’ve been getting my hair cut in Manhattan for years, typically paying between $ 50 and $ 70 a pop. Today I was too lazy to go into the City, and decided to finally find a place to get my hair cut in JH. Stopped in here and I am happy to say I am super pleased with the results. Ernesto gave me the classic look I like, very traditional while paying attention to the details. And the cost? $ 12. I’ll be coming back.

I have hair that is difficult to cut and most places cut it too short. I’ve had my hair cut by all three barbers here (Carlos, Nidia, and Ernesto) and they’ve all done a great job. Very friendly and very affordable.
