Best salon in Mississippi! I recently moved to California and even with all the salons here nobody has been able to do my color like Barnette’s. Jessica does Great hair extensions and they always blend flawlessly with my color. They offer the best products especially to keep your hair in the best condition possible! Training of all the staff is very high & they’re always continuing their education to stay on top of trends /​what’s suitable for your face style & coloring!

Dawn cuts my hair here and does a great job! She’s super sweet, reasonably prices, and a master shearer.
Barnette’s is located on the 2nd floor of Banner Hall which means you can step downstairs for some delicious fare at Broad Street Bakery and then spend a lazy hour perusing the shelves of Jackson’s best independent bookstore — Lemuria.

Ask for Ashley Weber bc she is excellent. I recently stopped flying/​driving to Houston to get my hair colored, highlighted and styled since I found Ashley. I’ve found most of the wrong places in Jackson and Ridgeland. Not only did Ashley do a fabulous job, she called the next day to see if I liked it!!!
Their spa in Ridgeland is really a treat and I’m discerning!

I am so disappointed. I checked several reviews for this salon and I got the worst cut and color of my whole life. My hair is ruined and it will take months to grow out. My hair is now burnt and lifeless and the color lasted less than 2 weeks. I paid $ 150 and I was stupid enough to leave a tip. I will never return to this salon. I do not recommend this salon to anyone.

I had a great first time experience with Tara at the Renaissance location. She was on time, listened to how I wanted it cut and did a great job. Everyone there was friendly.
