Perfect way to start a birthday. The wait is always a little long but then there is the country store with all the ‘Murica! stuff and old timey candy. I really don’t have a lot to say as I only get 3 things here: biscuits and gravy, bacon, and the hash brown casserole. I would love to try some other menu items at some point but as I get to come here so infrequently I get what I love. The service is amazing. I always feel like I’m at Nana’s house. People are so kind and, like another reviewer said, someone is always sweeping up. The«Warden» that paces back and forth on the fireplace(I can guess this is some sort of quality check?) is a little weird though. More than likely if you haven’t been to a Cracker Barrel you haven’t been to North America so I am not telling you anything you don’t know. It’s a great place to bring family! The kids love it! (Loot: Zots, Charleston Chew, mason jar of sour balls, maple nut goodies, and 2 sets of wax vampire teeth).

It’s Cracker Barrel, complete with kids dropping plates on the floor and waitresses sweeping the floor while you eat. BUT if you’re looking for a place to eat in this area that’s not a bar or fast food, save yourself the frustration of looking and eat here. Had a nice meal, typical of Cracker Barrel.

The food is pretty good. I had one time when there was a piece of plastic in my mac&cheese but overall this restaurant isn’t bad. Cornbread muffins are awesome. The servers are nice. I love the chicken and dumplings. The old objects on the wall are always interesting to look at. I love the little country store as well. It reminds me of the Ag museum.

This is one of the best cracker barrels we have been to… The one in slidell is way to greasy. The service is great here in jackson and the food is on the healthier side. it doesnt float in grease at this location.

It had been years since I was at a Cracker Barrel. Alas, I was recently on hour 13 of a 15hr road trip, and happened to be passing right be a Cracker Barrel and just the right time so we stopped in. It was breakfast time, which is quite possibly the best time of day, and CB does not disappoint in this area. Now, their menu isn’t actually for the healthy hearted, so if your looking for oatmeal and berries, prob not the place for you. If you into chicken fried chicken, smothered in the most hearstopping country gravy, with a side of biscuits, and a potato casserole that should be its own food group… then you definitely need to stop in a CB near you. I might even have to consider working Cracker Barrel into my normal breakfast rotation of restaurants… after i find a good cardiologist that is.
