This place is SO fun. They sell popsicles, coffee, gelato, beer, and soda. I love getting the popsicle float. Today I got the blueberry sour cream popsicle and put it into a rootbeer. Delicious. They have wonderful, different flavors. Also, all of their ingredients are local. This is a fabulous place for small talk with friends, a small office meeting, or studying. It’s quite spacious. They also cater too! Gold star Jackson business!

By far, my favorite spot in Jackson. I was in town with a group of friends for the Blues Marathon and stopped by because of the rave reviews and they were not wrong! We had the special King Cake Pop and it was phenoms. Everything was as delicious or more than expected. The owner and staff are probably the nicest people on this earth. He shared the story about the space, which made me love it even more. It’s beautiful, charming, and makes my tummy happy. MUSTGOIFYOU’REINJACKSON or even Mississippi for that matter. Make it a day trip. Whatever, just go!

Very cool place and extremely unique. Along with the pops, there is a great non traditional local beer selection. The night I was there, there was a local guest chef and local artist as well as a band and DJ later on in the evening. I will certainly make it a routine stop whenever i am in town.

Legit cool coffee shop. Stopped here on a road trip passing through. Legitimately one of the best ice coffees I’ve had in my life. Pastries were good too! Also the atmosphere is great they did a great job making this a cool place.

One word… OBSESSED. I just love it! I have tried the strawberry vanilka, buttermilk with root beer(made a float), blueberry sour cream, and the strawberry basil somethin’ or other! … What can I say? I’m a fruity girl! Hubby likes the vanilla dipped in chocolate. Service is friendly, the venue is super cute, and I adore the truck out back and the ice cream cart to use as perfect photo props! Great job Jackson! Deep South Pops, you’ve won my heart… and my sweet tooth!

Fun, hip spot to enjoy coffee… and what? Popsicles? Don’t knock it til you try it! We had incredible lattes plus uniquely delicious gelato and Popsicles. They even let you put them in soda. like and ice cream soda. OR… ready…beer? We didn’t try that but can’t imagine they do anything wrong here. There is even a wall full of games and a room with what feels like a livingroom /dining room to accommodate 12 of your closest friends. Wish they had these in FL or at the shore! Definitely go!

Cool hang in Jackson! Dairy and non dairy Popsicles, gelato, coffee and beer. Lots of seating. Pops are only $ 3 or $ 4 for a double and made with the best ingredients so you can feel good about your little treat. They’re so tasty and they have so many interesting flavors that it is easy to buy two pops on one sitting at Deep South. Quick service. Plenty of parking in the back. Interior is decorated so cute and their menu is on a chalk board. Music is not loud at all so it’s easy to have a conversation. Definitely make a point to check this really hip joint out. Worth the trip every time!

This little pop shop is all things YES! More like YASSS! We were driving through Jackson and we’re looking up locally owned restaurants, coffee shops, and dessert spots and came across Deep South Pops. After reading the stellar reviews it was decided we had to try it out, too, and boy are we ever glad we did. The owner was actually working the counter, bussing the tables, and making the coffees. I chatted him up a minute and told him we followed the Unilocal reviews right over she he was very gracious. We got a Buttermilk pop(3.00) A Creole CreamCheese pop(3.00) and a Devine St latte(3.25) We thoroughly enjoyed the creamy pops and the coffee warmed us right up afterwards. If we weren’t driving all the way back to Louisiana I would’ve definitely stopped up on a few pops for my daughter.

If you are looking for a chill place to hang or something a little different from the norm to do make a trip to Deep South Pops. You will have a hard time deciding what to order since all their treats are delicious. I recommend getting one of their coffees with a couple of popsicles. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Deep South Pops has such a cute, coffee shop vibe. There’s plenty of seating and great art on the walls that you can purchase. I had the Creole Cheesecake pop and paired it with a Coke and it tasted amazing! And it was only around $ 5 so this is a great spot to get an affordable dessert. The only negative I would have to say is that my friends tried the Mayan Chocolate pop and they said it was too spicy and they couldn’t really enjoy it. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend stopping by!

Perfect example of why I love Unilocal.I’m in Jackson once or twice a year for work and so friended some fellow Unilocalers from the area. One of them led me here. Otherwise, I never would have found this wonderful place. I don’t know if it’s a «hidden gem» or «off the beaten path» as I don’t know any known gems or well-worn paths in the area… but I know for the most part Unilocalers know what they are talking about… case in point! As I drove up I knew I was going to love the place. It has a coffee shop vibe and you can tell that the people that created the place really put a lot of thought and heart into it. The brick walls and photography add instant charm. Seating was ample and comfortable. The two guys working the counter were friendly and laid-back. They do beer and coffee as well, but I was there for the popsicles, which did not disappoint(I got a coffee to go as I was driving home and it was good… but I’m more of a tea guy so don’t know different levels of good coffee, only when it is bad v good). They had about 10 different varieties of flavors and I opted for the cappuccino. They asked if I wanted it dipped in chocolate and at first I thought I didn’t hear him but when he repeated himself my mind said«hell yes» but I politely said«sure.» It was delicious. Feeling like a glutton I went ahead and ordered a raspberry(to go to hide my shame) and it was just as good. I love the concept, vibe and popsicles. Go get some popsicles(maybe two!!), you will be glad you did!

I had the pumpkin spice pop today. It was the perfect blend of a southern cool treat with a fall flare. The service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was eclectic, fun and divey. The prices are about high for the size of the pop, but I don’t regret spending the money. If you have a sweet tooth this is a treat you don’t want to miss. Next time I’m trying a soda pop float with a buttermilk pop. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because of the price for the serving size. Everything else is easily worth five stars.

I have been in Jackson for less than a month and I’ve already been here 3 times. I love the distressed brick walls and wooden tables, what a cozy and modern décor. WHAT I TRIED: –Oreo pops: SOGOOD! It tasted like an oreo shake, I do wish there were more oreos or bigger pieces. –Creole Cheesecake pop: A hint of strawberry, this was good as well, but a bit too sweet for me. –Banana pudding ice-cream: I love this! Big chunks of vanilla wafers. Tasted just like banana pudding. –Cold Brew: This was the worst cold brew I have ever tasted. I could not drink this. It was too acidic and had a weird bitter aftertaste. Customer service: GREAT! They allowed me to exchanged my cold brew for just a regular cup of coffee with no extra charge. I appreciated this! I definitely recommend this place.

Love, love, love this place. I came here every day for the first couple of weeks it was open, and once even before they opened! Deep South Pops is the best new coffeehouse/pop store/whatever in Jackson. The owners are super polite and very personable. I enjoy going in the mornings and studying while drinking some awesome coffee. Before I leave around lunchtime, it’s a must that I get a pop. You just can’t beat the awesome cold goodness of their pops. Check it out!

So deliciously satisfying on a very hot Mississippi day! My husband and I decided to go to Deep South Pops tonight for dessert and we loved our pops. Most of the pops were already sold out for the day(we got there around 730pm) so our selection was limited. I chose the peach basil pop and my husband got the Mayan hot chocolate pop. YUM. They both were so good. The flavors were authentic and fresh and we loved that the consistency of the more solid than icy pop(if that makes any sense). Each pop was $ 3 and it was worth the price. Can’t wait to come back and try some more flavors! A great addition to Jackson!

I came to Deep South Pops the day it opened, my friends and I have been anticipating it’s opening for months. The environment is open and clean, the staff is very nice and helpful as well. My favorite thing about Deep South Pops was the variety of flavors: grapefruit Rosemary to Buttermilk. They’re all fantastic. They have coffee and beer as well which makes a nice combo with the pops. Also serving gelato or ice cream, not sure which. There’s nothing better than a pop on one of these HOT Mississippi summer days, however, I can see Deep South Pops doing well in the winter months too.

I’ve lived in Belhaven about three years now and in the past few weeks, this has quickly become my FAVORITE neighborhood spot. It’s exactly what the neighborhood and the city needs. First of all, the popsicles. They. Are. So. Good. I’m not embarrassed to say I’ve tried most of them and I’ve yet to taste one I didn’t immediately want one more of. The blueberry sour cream, the cheesecake, the chocolate. They’re all fantastic. The creamier ones, like chocolate or buttermilk, taste more like ice cream than a traditional pop. They’re so rich and good. The fruity, citrus ones are made with natural flavors and real fruit so you aren’t ingesting a ton of artificial sugars or anything. They’re crazy refreshing on these hot Mississippi days. The grapefruit and strawberry flavors are two favorites as well. Like I said, you cannot go wrong. This place isn’t just pops though. Oh no. It’s a full coffee shop as well. The only coffee shop in Belhaven, if you can believe it! As someone who works from home, I’ve been saying we need a good local coffeeshop for years. I love Cups and Sneaky Beans in Fondren but sometimes it feels like a bit of a hike.(I know— it’s a very small town, I’m spoiled.) The coffee here is great though. You can get everything from drip coffee to espresso to iced coffee to french press. Your heart’s desire awaits you! They’re open at 6AM every day so it’s a perfect place to grab a caffeinated beverage before heading to the office. Oh and they have REALLYFAST, FREEWI-FI! Always a bonus! They also offer a variety of excellent craft beers by the bottle/can. At night, grab some friends and some beers and some pops and just chill out. They’ve got lots of seating, including large tables that are perfect for groups or smaller tables if you’re looking to get some work or studying done. They’ve got lots of board games you can play with your friends. If it’s a slow night, strike up a conversation with one of the owners. They’re some of the nicest folks you’ll ever meet. This place is brand new but I’ve got high hopes for it, and I’m positive it will be a huge success here in town. Go check it out today!
