Absolutely the BEST chargrilled oysters you can get. Definitely worth stopping for. The fried alligator was very good, surprisingly tender and really enjoyed this. Got a margarita on the rocks with 1800 and it was delicious but just to make sure I ordered a second one and yes, delicious!!!

Dragons is a great oyster place with so much more to choose from. There charbroiled oysters are great. They have good drink specials on certain nights of the week also.

Friendly staff, upbeat atmosphere. The drinks are strong and the food was amazing. My only complaint was dessert was not as good as I was told.

Oysters are great, but everything else we had have been just mediocre. The lobster and filet were quite small, shrimp and grits were too salty for me. Seafood pasta was a lot of sauce but very little seafood. Service is quick and good.

Came in for lunch and the fried shrimp poboy was great. I sat at the bar and the service was good.

I came to this Draco’s to see what the fuss was all about. I ordered the famous grilled oysters and boy they were not kidding. Succulent oysters smothered in butter sauce. I would definitely come again.

I had high expectations for Dragos as I love New Orleans cuisine, but the experience fell flat. We were seated quickly at 6pm on Saturday, which was unexpected, but it took a while to get drinks and our order placed. First up was the Spinach Dip which was large enough for 4 but still not worth $ 12. The chips where plain colored tortilla chips and the dip was really missing something — probably artichokes — to cut the spinach wang. Next I ordered the Seafood Gumbo but got a cheese soup with shrimp. It turned out to be Seafood Bisque by mistake(which why waiters that don’t write down orders frustrate me). So I have no idea what Drago’s gumbo tastes like. Regardless $ 8 is too expensive for such a small cup. The main course was the fish of the day — redfish. I had it Mediterranean and my guest chose Stuffed. Both were large portions and well prepared. You don’t get to pick your sides but we enjoyed the spinach on the mediterranean and corn on the stuffed version.

This restaurant specializes in Cajun seafood and features a full service oyster bar. It’s signature chargrilled oysters are worth the visit by themselves! I recommend any seafood dish«stuffed» with their Cajun crabmeat dressing and crabmeat creole sauce. Whether it is stuffed lobster or snapper, this crabmeat is sensational! For the money, Drago’s way out performs it’s pricier competition up north in Renaisance. Give Drago’s a try. Do you want to spend more, or to eat well? I’ll pick great food at average prices every time.

The char grilled oysters are absolutely lovely, but the other items we have tried on the menu have just been kind of ‘meh’. Still like going there though, service was awesome. We tried the duck and pasta entrée and it was cold and not to our taste.

I am giving this restaurant five stars based solely on the char grilled oysters that they serve. They are phenomenal! You can order them in a half dozen or a dozen, I would recommend the dozen, and they are served in this garlic oil type of sauce which is AMAZING! I am usually not an oyster person but I would convert for these. I also tried the shrimp pasta which was fairly good. It was thin noodles served in a Alfredo sauce that supposedly had some crab in the sauce which makes it «their own.» However, I did not notice that much of a difference between their Alfredo sauce and other restaurants Alfredo sauce. The service was great, no complaints there. When a restaurant is busy on a Wednesday night you know that you’re in for a treat. I would come back here the next time I am in Jackson.

Mediocre food & mediocre service. The waitress didn’t know much about the menu & struggled to make suggestions. The Oyster wrapped in bacon tasted like it was fried in old oil. The restaurant smelled funky, too.

Drago’s is known for their char grilled oysters, which I have enjoyed at their New Orleans location. Once they opened in Jackson I made a commitment to try them out. I was not disappointed. Two of us, so we ordered two dozen of the char grilled oysters, and they were delicious. I tried not to embarrass myself by licking the shells, they were so tasty. The location is huge, much larger than I expected from outside. Could easily handle large groups. I have no idea about the rest of their menu, and am in no hurry to find out. I will continue to partake of the oysters as long as I can.

Not a fan — although I don’t eat oysters! Recently had dinner here with friends. They were out of everyday house brands of liquor and some of their appetizers. The only thing great about the meal was the house salad. Great chopped salad with an Italian dressing. I had the fried shrimp platter and was very disappointed. The fries were terrible. They had to be frozen and even gave frozen fries a bad name. The fried shrimp were just ok. I will not spend that type of money again and mediocre food.

This is my second time at this Drago’s. I do like the way they prepare their charbroiled oysters. However today they seemed to have a bit more oil this go round. The salad was kinda pitiful(basic bagged salad mix), but I do like the house dressing. It was like a tangy ceasar. I chose the shrimp linguini for my entrée. The sauce was good. The shrimp were a medium size. The lunch portion was more than enough. Overall I’m not pressed to come back. With so many competing restaurants in Jackson, this isn’t even in the top ten. The food is meh. The servers were really nice though.

While we’re on the road from tx to Georgia and decided to stop at this restaurant based on other reviews. The food was phenomenal our waiter Brian was fantastic and very efficient! I had a cup of the shrimp and corn bisque and my daughter the Gumbo, both amazing!!! I have my other half was with me, who is the pickiest of picky and who also doesn’t eat seafood and they made him a custom dish!!! Portions were large! Loved this place!!!

De-lici-ous. Fantastic! I went here for lunch, and that has to be the best time to go. Their lunch menu includes a whole Maine lobster for $ 20. The hubby was so happy he wanted to come back and eat here every single day until we left Jackson. I ordered the shrimp fettuccine. The sauce was deliciously creamy, and not oily at all. We ordered a dozen raw oysters on the half shell that were tasty. Also ordered at the table was the half lobster topped with crab stuffing and that person refused to share so I think it was good! Our server was on point and very very good at his job. I wish I could remember his name to give him a shout out. Will very likely eat here again when I’m in Jackson in the future.

Drago’s showed up in Jackson around the same time Seafood R’evolution was coming — with much less fanfare. Overall this restaurant is fine, but uninspiring. There are some good dishes but most of the menu feels and tastes like chain seafood that tried a little harder. If you want really good, creative food, you’re going to have to go somewhere Downtown or Fondren. The atmosphere is nice and the service is pretty attentive, but I have not been when they are packed. The location is fine, even though it is County Line road, it is right by the interstate, making it pretty easy to get in and out. The restaurant shares a parking lot with the Hilton, which can get busy sometimes. They have, however, recently annexed part of a parking lot next door which should alleviate some trouble. The first time I went everything seemed too rich. There was too much salt and spice on everything and too much butter(guys, it is hard to do have much butter but they did it). The oysters they had were unremarkable. The dishes were fine, but again, it was not anything special. High points on the menu may be lunch — I had a great crab salad and gumbo combo once. Though the crab salad was just some pretty good crab set atop what looked like a caesar salad — fine, but not terribly well thought out. Overall this is a fine restaurant if it is one of your only options. There are some good dishes you might get into and they do have generally fresh seafood. Just don’t get too excited about it. If you want oysters, go to Saltine.

Charboiled Oysters were great! They were cooked perfectly. Fried Shrimp Platter had 10 shrimp, my husband enjoyed it.
