Stayed the night of 4.20. Very disappointed with this hotel. Cannot say that enough. Paid a good amount and expected a good night’s sleep. I was in town to work an overnight re-set and got in about 2am or so. The door was locked and it was hard to figure out how to get in. Once I was inside, I received so-so service and literally had to park in the furthest spot. I was unloading my luggage and did not feel safe. There were very few lights and no security to be seen. Once to my room i was disappointed again. All of the photographs showed a mini-fridge and my room did not have one! ALL of the food i had with me went bad overnight. About $ 75 in groceries. I was too tired to ask the disinterested desk staff to move rooms. I passed out in the bed which was clean and comfortable. At 6:30−7am the FIREALARM went off in the building. It was going off for at least 30 min. Loud does not describe it. I had only a few hours of sleep at that point. Went downstairs, no employees seemed to care to explain what was going on. Had to find out from other guests. Turns out they were doing service on the alarm itself and it was tripped off. Seriously? An hour later I was able to go to bed, but then had to get up shortly thereafter to check out. Overall the WORST sleep I’ve ever gotten at a hotel this price. I will never stay here again. Zero apologies for the alarm and no offers to refund my stay. I was outraged.

I checked into this hotel after photographing a wedding in Jackson and it was pretty awful for a place with the Hampton Inn name. The room smelled musty and the mattress was stained. The water pressure was almost nonexistent.

Made reservations 2 months in advance for the State fair. On the next to last night we received a note under the door that we would have to move to another room because of repairs scheduled for that floor. We had to pack up and leave all luggage and other items(we had a suite with kitchen so we brought lots of stuff) real hassle. The staff was nice about it and even moved our things while we were gone. Problems were no pillows or blankets for the sofa bed, no utensils in kitchen or pots or pans to cook with, the refrigerator did not work so we had to use our ice chest. What’s the point of having a suite with a kitchen if you cannot use it? Will not stay here again.
